We enjoy these as a treat and appreciate the premium ingredients. We once again enjoyed our Goan prawn curry and coconut rice. It is a shame that oils are no longer included and the small fractions of cinnamon stick included weren't ideal as it was much harder to remove after cooking.

I got the greek tapas box as a Christmas gift and was really looking forward to cooking something different. A last minute date change was dealt with very swiftly and efficiently by the friendly customer service and I was really impressed by the whole experience. The cooking instructions are very clear and visually easy to understand. The time frame given for the preparation was bang on and the amount of food was indeed very generous. We had the box for 4-5 people and were sharing it with 5 adults and 1 kid. We got some extras to make sure we have enough for everyone but really didn't need to worry. I'm already looking at their other recipe boxes as it was a great afternoon spent with the family cooking and eating together.

The ingredients provided were all excellent quality and well presented. The packaging was very professional. The cooking instructions were excellent and very clearly laid out. We appreciated the Spotify playlist - a nice touch.

We had a chateau briand from Cookaway as a treat for valentine's day and we really enjoyed it. It was delivered on time and was well packaged. Unpacking it was fun, seeing everything we were going to cook, and watching the video. The ingredients were fresh and the instructions were clear. Even I couldn't mess it up.

The ingredients were second to none as were the instuctions and very easy to cook. The prep was alot longer than I anticipated but with the assitance of my daughter, no problem at all. A good way of prepping, cooking and experiencing the tasting after.

I ordered a Spanish tapas meal kit from Cook Away, expecting a complete and hassle-free experience. Sadly, it fell short. Several items were missing from the delivery, and while customer service emailed to say they’d reimburse us for anything we had to source ourselves, this defeats the whole point of a meal kit. If I’d wanted to shop for ingredients, I wouldn’t have bothered with Cook Away—I’d have gone to the store instead. Their initial offer of a £15 credit note (later upgraded to a £15 refund after some back-and-forth) felt like a weak response for the inconvenience caused. The kit came with a 48-hour consumption window, so like most busy people, I unpacked it into the fridge without auditing every item. It wasn’t until we were preparing the second dish—around 9pm—that the missing pieces became glaringly obvious. The Spanish tapas kit, by the way, is no walk in the park. It’s time-intensive: the pork needed a 3-hour marinade, and the Romano peppers took ages to prepare. Honestly, they were tasty, but not noticeably better than the £2 pre-made peppers from Tesco. To top it off, the missing item was the only carb dish, which threw off the entire meal and left us disappointed. At £63 (including postage), this was far from good value. I’d estimate you could buy everything needed to replicate this meal for £25-£30—less than half the price. Cook Away’s hefty markup might be justifiable if the experience delivered, but it didn’t. The missing items were bad enough, but the customer service follow-up was lackluster too. Their excuse of being a small, busy team doesn’t hold water when you’re charging premium prices for a premium promise. I love the concept of meal kits, but the execution here—plus the poor after-sales care—left a sour taste. @reply such an ignorant pig headed reply. Stay clear people. FYI it spoiled the meal.

Everything about my first Cookaway order impressed me! Lovely food, clear instructions, and good value considering the discount code and little extras that were included in our order. I had a really enjoyable afternoon making this meal without the faff of shopping for it.

Spanish Tapas bought for Valentines dinner. Delivery excellent, well packaged and on time. Ingredients good quality ( except for the garlic bulb which wasn't good) Instructions clear, with time line to follow.( I did follow this , good job I prepped earlier) Delicious dishes You do need some cooking skills and knowledge and plenty of saucepans etc. Quite time consuming to prepare. I suggest prepping in advance. You do need to juggle a bit to get all on table at the same time. I would suggest a list of things to prepare in advance would be useful.

Delicious recipes and end result well worth the effort. Was a bit fiddly trying to put the two recipes together to be ready at the same time so a timetable for doing both would have been useful.

We had the the Pakistani railway curry. It was fantastic! Highly recommended and good value for a special evening!

liked the food, criticism would be, the unrealistic expectations of the some of the preparations - Grate the tomato into a fine mesh sieve set over a bowl.... seriously.....?. Also the amount of plastic single use plastic is horrendous - would have thought a company like yours would be eating set an example but honestly - spices in over 12 individual plastic pots - some of them duplicated for different recipes - small sealed paper envelopes would do just as well. Dropped the experience to the the same level as GDK , who also have the same approach for their sauces.... shame

I recently received a cooking box as a gift from a friend, it provided everything needed for a delicious homemade meal without the hassle of shopping for specific ingredients. The box contained good quality ingredients, easy to follow recipe cards, making the cooking experience easy and fun. Even as someone who enjoys cooking regularly, I found it refreshing to try new recipe and ingredients I might not have picked up on my own. Overall, this cooking box was a fantastic gift. If you're looking for a thoughtful, interactive, and delicious present, a cooking box is a great choice!

Nice to be able to cook this with my wife helping. The instructions are very clear and the ingredients being all weighed out makes it very easy.
