Absolutely amazing experience with Cookaway! Fresh food, great delivery, clear and detailed instructions, the BEST ingredients… I ordered the Japanese vegetarian Ramen and made a broth from scratch, soy marinated eggs, and the ramen contents and it was just so amazingly different and tasty! You can’t describe all the tastes that were going on, but it felt like restaurant quality at home. I simply say “try it”, because I was hesitant and now I’m ordering my next meal kit to make with my brother. I think it’ll be even more fun with two! Thank you Cookaway, what a fantastic idea and so delicious!

Customer Service: I had an issue with a gift voucher I had, which was entirely my fault. I contacted customer service on the off-chance and they responded immediately, they were very kind and rectified the issue straight away. Delivery: I was given a time slot, arrived on time and was really nicely packaged. Ingredients: you do literally make the meals from scratch so there was some fantastic ingredients included and everything was very good quality & fresh. Instructions & Prep: each dish had very clear recipe cards and an overall plan of what to do at each stage. My teenage son is getting interested in cooking so he did the meal, so the prep took a while longer than it probably would, but allow yourself plenty of prep time. Result: we had the katsu chicken menu, it was delicious and there was plenty for 3 of us. It was a really fun experience, a great gift idea and I would definitely try another one of the many other menus on offer.

Meal arrived on time, all ingredients were very fresh which makes all the difference, particularly the Bernese sauce. Chateaubriand beef was very tasty with a very good texture when cooked rare. Easy to follow and informative recipe cards supplied. Second time we have ordered the chateaubriand meal for 2, very consistent and good results. Will definitely be ordering again

Arrived on time and everything that was needed was within the kit to make an amazing meal. All lovely, fresh produce.

Ordered the mushroom wellington for a weekend away with the girls. So yummy and so easy to follow the instructions. Makes it easy to have a fantastic meal without too much extra fuss. Definitely going to order again!

Tasty food but time consuming to prepare.

The quality of the ingredients is outstanding. We really enjoyed the grid that shows you when to prepare elements of different recipes so that it all comes together ready for the table-genius! Fresh pita has now become a firm family favourite. It did take us longer to make some things though -it is best to block more time for a relaxed cooking experience. It has been a good couple activity and a delicious meal. Thank you!

I wanted to share that my friend and I had an amazing time making the Pakistani curry and biryani last night. We really enjoyed it, although we noticed that the curry leaves were missing, which is such an important ingredient for the curry. It definitely affected the flavour a bit. On the bright side, the biryani turned out fantastic! I emailed some photos of the finished dishes. We would love to try cooking it again, this time with the curry leaves. If you could help us with that, we would really appreciate it!

The cook away experience was really good. The food was restaurant standard and for food enthusiasts it’s a great way to introduce unusual cuisines to your repertoire. Some recipes are very time consuming. Cookaway provide all of the ingredients but you have to be prepared to dedicate a lot of time to producing the dishes. The results are worth it!

✅ Delivery: The product arrived perfectly packaged, on time, and in good condition. 🍴 Concept: The business idea is great, but the menu lacks variety. 📦 Packaging: While recyclable materials are used, the packaging is bulky and cumbersome. 💸 Value: I’d recommend buying it at least once for the experience—if you’re willing to spend the money. Compared to grocery store prices, it’s quite expensive. 🌟 Quality: All ingredients are high quality, but perhaps the flavours could be enhanced even further?

Easy to book, easy to cook and very easy to eat!

Ordered as a gift for a keen cook, she was delighted; Just had the Indian meal and oh my word,very very good!! Came all organized by dish with the ingredients measured out in little pots!

Great introduction to Japanese food, good flavours, textures and very tasty. Would recommend. Excellent recipe cards and useful to have a 'cooking plan' when cooking several dishes.

More style over content. I don't need a playlist from the chef or the glossy menu cards. Would prefer the money spent on the food. I found the recipes too fiddly and meat content small for 2 people with the cheaper non meat sides more than enough for 2 . I was disappointed with the cost/ taste and for example could order Railway lamb from my local street food indian restaurant for similar price but better flavour and without the hassle Tonight I try the chicken rendang so maybe better

Another uncommon but excellent meal, quick and easy to prepare, and very tasty.

We ordered 2 boxes to take away for a weekend breaks - a Malaysian Rendang and a Railway Curry. The Rendang produced pretty authentic results and was enjoyable. The Railway Curry however was not what we'd expect - it wasn't a rich sauce at all and the biriyani with it as not what we'd call a biriyani at all. Overall this was a disappointing one. On the plus side, the literature to accompany each box was good and the Spotify playlists made for enjoyable cooking time.

Arrived on time, well packaged, quality food items. Instructions easy to follow and food tasted great. I picked the Greek Mezze - five dishes to prepare and all were fairly easy to assemble, but if you’re a novice like me then allow a bit more time to put it all together. Would definitely buy again.

Everything was there that we needed with very clear instructions. The meal was interesting and tasty - a lovely treat.
