*******I was contacted by a pharmacist from Chewy who apologized for the slow delivery of the medication I needed and said they were refunding 50% of the medication’s cost because they care about customer service and my experience was not up to their standards. I have always used AutoShip with Chewy, which has been great. Recently, my 17-year-old cat was diagnosed with a thyroid problem and she did not do well on the pills I got from my vet due to gastric issues. My vet authorized transdermal thyroid medicine from Chewy and they spent 2 to 3 days online saying they were working on the order. They advertise DELIVERY of prescription medications in 2 to 3 days. My cat desperately needs that medication and it has been over a week and I still don’t have it yet. In the meantime, my cat is throwing up, drinking tons of water, and very uncomfortable. I did some research to see where the pharmacy is and was shocked to find that although I live in California, their compounding pharmacy is in Kentucky. It’s false advertising to say that prescriptions are delivered in 2 to 3 days when in reality it is a week via FedEx. How do I even know what temperature variations the medication has been through and how effective it will be after such a long delay? Customer Service has always been phenomenal from Chewy, but I have to rethink ordering from the pharmacy.
Chewy itself is a wonderful company. But, they made the mistake of signing a contract with Fed Ex that allows Fedex to lose, damage or whatever they want to packages with no liability what so ever. I've had stuff left in the rain without being in plastic. I've had stuff stolen, because they refuse to deliver where we can see the package. They even lost the replacement for a replacement. I wouldn't use fedex if I had to drive to the post office to get stuff.
Used to be a good company...now they just suck!!! worst customer experience. I will NEVER purchase from chewy again... its amazon for me. At least you know what your getting...not the games chewy plays with long time customers.
I would like to commend this company on their customer service. You can reach a person to help you at any hour of the night or day. There is never a comouter answering the phone and blocking you from the help you need. This company stands alone from all the other companies relying on AI, which is so frustrating to the customers. If you have pets i highly recommend this company , They are user friendly and have the best customer service of any company around. 24/7 you can actually talk to a real person with no hassle. Support this company because they are going the extra mile to serve it's customers well. Thank you, Chewy
I am not just saying this.. Chewy has the absolute best customer service I have ever received. I have never had a complaint but I have reached out for customer service and every single time they go ABOVE AND BEYOND. I went out of my way to leave this review because they are worthy of it. I dealt with two ladies today. I was having such a problem but Anita and Whitney helped me to solve it. I never dealt with such nice people. They both went out of their way to solve my problem. Don't think my problem would have gotten resolved without them. One of them even called me back to make sure I got what I needed. We got disconnected and she called me back. No one does that. They usually wait until you call back yourself. I will definitely will shop more on chewy because of Whitney and Anita!!!!!
Chewy is amazing! I have never had an issue using Chewy and have purchased items from them for about 8 years. I love that we get birthday cards for our furbabies and more! They have great deals, and the shipping is always on time and quick. I have never received damaged products, and overall my experience has been phenomenal! I also recommend the pharmacy and insurance options they offer. 10/10!

My dog recently passed and I forgot to delete an authorship. Not only did they instantly refund my money and allow me to donate the food to a shelter, they also mailed me a hand written letter and a rock with my dogs name painted on it. Can’t say good enough things about this company!
I ordered Bison and Elk bones. I bought for dog gifts but was advised by owners they are too hard and often break a dogs tooth. I suggested they put a warning on them because I spent a good amount and now they will have to be thrown out. Never heard back. Very disappointed
Cadet Choice Chews, gave my dog one of these and has vomited 4 times so far today . Very disappointed in this product.
I have been ordering from chewy for many years. I put up with the occasional bulging, broken cans. My experience when I ordered a gift card was the last straw. After ordering the card, over a period of 4 or 5 hours, I received numerous emails saying they had to verify billing address, card number, etc. After talking to two different people, and being assured things were taken care of, I received yet another email demanding verification. I used the chat to try to find out what the problem was, with no satisfactory answer. I was told they routinely treat customers like this. Needless to say, I am now an ex-customer.
Absolutely the most honest reputable business I have ever encountered. I am in my '70s and I'm amazed how truthful and honest chewy.com is They care about your animals as though they were theirs. Very compassionate, very caring. To worry about getting scammed like you do from a lot of other companies, this company is truthful. Thank you chewy for being you and for being a leader.
I placed an order a week ago. They emailed me saying I need to verify my account via email or by phone. I did so via email and answered all their ridiculous questions. Then after I verified via email they asked for a verbal confirmation. Which I did. I called them and answered the same exact questions as before. This whole process took 4 days and they had the audacity after all that nonsense to cancel my order saying we can’t ship to a business!! What business orders small quantities???? The order was OBVIOUSLY for one person not a group of people for me to resell. The worst experience ever. Not recommended at all. Awful website and service
So, I ordered two dog gates from Chewy, thinking I was about to create the ultimate fortress for my dog. But, plot twist—both gates sat unopened in their boxes for weeks. In a moment of clarity, I realized I didn’t need two dog gates—I needed a peace treaty between me and my dog. So, I reluctantly started the return process. And guess what? It was easier than getting my dog to listen to a command. The return process was as smooth as a well-trained pup doing a perfect sit. No hassle! Big props to Chewy for making the return process painless! Would I buy from Chewy again? Absolutely! I’ll just make sure next time I don’t buy gates until I actually need them. But hey, now I know if I ever do need a dog gate, Chewy’s got my back.
Chewy is amazing. The best customer service of any company I've dealt with in years. They immediately fix any problem you call about, provide refunds even when they probably don't have to, and when our dog died they sent us a condolence gift.
Continued delivery issues...tracking package delivery indicates items delivered but in actuality they are not delivered. Chewy offers to resend; they will also issue refund if asked. Incredibly unreliable and untrustworthy. Maybe they insist on better delivery for "autoship" which their site continually pushes each time items are purchased. If not an "autoship" customer maybe they couldn't be bothered to improve/assure customers will receive their orders reliably. After multiple instances of this same thing occurring, it sure feels that way to me. ADIOS CHEWY! I boycotted before for this same reason and then relented....NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!
Chewey has THE BEST customer service, hands down. Most recently FedEx was not delivering my prescription dog food in a timely manner. It was “out for delivery” for multiple days. When I called FedEx, they informed me that Chewey proactively already contacted them and instructed them to deliver it same day (on a Saturday). It actually came Sunday, but I’m just happy it’s here. Chewey demonstrated what service looks like - solving my problem without me having to contact them. The BEST!
Chewy's costs are outrageous. The cat food I buy I can get on ebay for $40 a case and Chewy sells the same thing for $53. I stopped buying from Chewy.
