We have used the service for both my wife's parents funerals and from the initial meeting to the final trip to the Harwood Park the service given is very professional and compassionate.
Received personalised service at the Stevenage branch. Neil, Kerry and Genine together with rest of the team are exceptional.
I was extremely glad to have chosen Austin's Family Funeral Directors to help me arrange my mother's funeral. The service provided by Austin's was impeccable and every member of staff who looked after my family was extremely kind and courteous. I felt that nothing would be too much trouble. Right from the initial phone call to the funeral everything was perfect
Austin’s staff at the Letchworth shop and the crematorium made, what was a hard experience for the family ,as pain free and smooth running as possible.
Only negative was we were told only 6 in a car and no one sitting next to the driver. We had 7 so had to get a second car only to be told 4.45 pm day before funeral that it’s 7 in a car. We were offered part of the payment back but we had asked my son’s girlfriend to go in the car making it 8 and at that late time could not ask her to drive as per the original plan. This cost us about £325 which could have been put towards dads headstone

Austins dealt with everything in a kind and sympathetic way. My Mum's funeral was organised expertly. Ed (the Humanist) wrote a beautiful eulogy, taking note of all the things my family remembered about my Mums life,bringing humour to our celebration of her life.
Our initial contact could have been better. No refreshments were offered, our contact was unsure of what paperwork was required/ current. She mixed up a cremation vs a burial, incorrectly recorded me a a daughter rather than sister. We were also provided with misinformation regarding the timelines for collecting the deceased to when we could view. After a one to one discussion the situation improved. The improvements was excellent once Gary the funeral director became our direct contact. From this point all information was accurate and our confidence for the day improved. On the day everything went as clockwork, the funeral direct and his team were excellent and very supportive.
Always an excellent and professional service. Caring and considerate through all departments. Wouldn’t use any other company. Excellent from Lisa at the Parlour to the Drivers and assistance. Put you at ease. Nothing is too much trouble.
Everyone is kind, friendly and approachable. I was phoned the day before to run through things and the funeral went very well with everything running to time. Everything was explained in advance and everyone was very respectful. There is a good choice of coffins and flowers and you have plenty of time to choose. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful, showing respect and sympathy at all times.

From the minute I phoned Austin's in Welwyn I was treated with kindness and compassion at this difficult time. I was advised as to the documents that I needed from the hospital and the the procedure with the Registrar. At a meeting in the Welwyn office my daughter and I were able to make all of the arrangements for the funeral. On the day of the funeral everything went extremely smoothly and to plan. The Celebrant selected by Austin's, Tracy Taylor, was absolutely a perfect match to my late wifes character and fashioned a perfect service for her.
