From meeting Susannah who was so personable and kind to make arrangements to bring introduced to most warm and wonderful celebrant Claire to being looked after by Gary checking in the night before the service and looking after us on the day - mum received the sendvoff she deserved delivered in such a celebratory and sensitive manner.
Family care and support from beginning to end is faultless. On this experience for myself it was unexpected of me to be faced with sorting out the funeral for my grandad and although my grandmother is still alive she is disabled and very difficult to support and hard of hearing. It's a difficult task for myself because getting a grieving woman to make decisions and stick with them was not straightforward. Austin's supported me with this side of things to the very last hour of the deadline so that the following day the funeral service went the way I hoped and it did!!! So this is a special mention for Janine because you deserve recognition. To Gary,Michael and the gentleman that cared for my grandad in the chapel and on his last journey thank you so much for the care and compassion you showed on the final evening I come to see him 1 last time and that followed through on the day of his funeral. To the staff behind the scenes you did an incredible job of making grandad look smart peaceful and comfortable. Outstanding service from all that were involved. Thank you so much. My mother had pre planned her funeral From the moment I had to make the call to arrange for her collection from home I was reassured she would be well looked after Just receiving the call the next morning to say she was in their safe hands was so comforting Nothing was too much trouble & advice on hand . Right from the beginning Austin’s staff were amazing. Every single member of staff was kind, thoughtful, empathetic and very respectful. I used the Hitchin office of Austin’s again because we received such good service 7 years ago. I was not disappointed, the staff were fantastic. Everything was dealt with very efficiently and support given when we were experiencing problems. On the day of my son’s funeral the staff were lovely and everything ran very smoothly. I would highly recommend Austin’s.
Bent over backwards to tailor my husbands funeral arrangement for us. We had a few 'quirky' requests which did not phase them. From the office staff to the officials who looked after us on the day we cannot fault them. Made a very difficult day smooth running. Well deserving of 5*.
Our mother’s funeral was flawless. Everything ran just as Austin’s had promised , the coffin and flowers were beautiful, the order of service printed to the highest quality. It was the Austin’s staff members that made this a 5* review though . Sharon from the Hertford office was so helpful, kind and patient with me as I stumbled through organising everything. Nothing was too much trouble. I am very grateful. On the day the staff were equally as kind and respectful. They explained everything to us and executed it flawlessly. First class service all round. From the visit on 14/04/2023 to the return back to 196.
