At American Standard it all begins with our unmatched legacy of quality and innovation that has lasted for more than 150 years. It is this tradition of quality and innovation that puts us in three out of five homes in America, as well as, countless hotels, airports, and stadiums. We provide the style and performance that fit perfectly into life, wherever that may be.
The American Standard tub we had installed is very good quality, with a LIFETIME guarantee. The two installers were very professional , knew what they were doing and went out of their way to do a nice job .
I got the walk-in tub for my mother. She is 87 years old and she has problems moving around and getting in and out of the old tub. The walk-in tub, she enjoys, and it has made bath time more enjoyable. Most importantly, it has given her back her freedom and the massage and jets helps to ease her back and knee pain. This tub is so marvelous that there is a line of family members waiting to use it.
Truly a great improvement over a standard tub. The only problem I have is the length. If it were the same length as a standard tub, my knees wouldn’t hit the front wall when I recline on the seat.
Although a glitch came up on our installation the experience is overall great. The Liberator walk-in tub has been a welcomed item in our household and we look forward in its use as originally planned. Thanks to the team, especially Alexis, who has been so instrumental on correcting the small glitch. Would recommend this product to everyone as in our opinion, it is an excellent product and performs as presented to us.
The tub itself is great BUT The installation workmanship is very poor when it comes to the finish caulking. Guests who use our restroom remark about the caulk instead of the tub
The fact that water can come into the tub with the lever not pushed forward is a design flaw. Water leaked on floors in my tub costing me over $17,000. The tub needs to be designed so that water cannot come into the tub unless the lever is pushed forward.
We needed to modify our house to accommodate our needs as seniors and a key need was a walk-in bathtub to replace our beautiful but potentially dangerous clawfoot tub. We considered a number of vendors but ended up choosing American Standard, not only because of its strong reputation and years in the business but also because it took responsibility for installing the tub and offered a lifetime warranty not only on the tub but the installation as well. The installation took two days and was handled very professionally and with maximum consideration of our home and personal comfort. We would not hesitate to recommend American Standard!
Along with its good looks, the walk in tub is an added good purchase for us. Its functions are easy use and the hardware is attractive. We love our tub.
They men we dealt with were great. They told us what to expect and how to manage it all. The installers were great. Cleaned up their mess and assured us they would take care of any problem we might have.
I enjoy the walk in tub it was just what I needed but when they make a mistake and switch the hot water knob and cold they should come back and put it like it is suppose to be. Everything works just find like it suppose to I know I made the right decision
I really love my walk in tub. If you really need to just soak your tired body nothing is any better. Forget about the stories of being cold because as fast as it fills you don't need to worry. My trick - before I get in I put just a little water in so I won't be stepping into something cool. This inch of water does wonders for you. Now let me touch on draining the water out. I know what they have said in the advertisements which I didn't really pay a whole lot of attention to but it is true. The water just goes zoom. Faster than my garden tub drained. Really. If you don't believe me just try it. No you can't have my tub back. Sorry.
American Standard's installation crew showed up right on time, figured out the details of a very difficult installation (after which they discovered that the 'old' tub that had to be removed was not a standard cast iron - which was the most common installation type for the mid to late 1950's, which is when our home was built - but, was in fact, a steel tub. They had to use numerous blades to cut this tub out of the original bathroom.), got the mechanics/details sorted out & were still able to successfully install our new Liberator walk-in tub and right height commode all in the same day. In short, they were amazing. We love the new installation!!
The bath is very nice but had the installation people come back for repairs in the bathroom.
took to long to put in and mess up put handles in back words as wateer spout at door and repair to make it right a lot of come back in a few weeks to fix ti right
Jets are too strong and not adjustable. Blows water all over.
very helpful to ease arthritis pain. Can.t take medication other than otc. This tub replaces my whirlpool that I was unable to use any longer due to physical disability. So far so good
They sell you a tub that is to small. Then you call them they will put in a walk in shower and then you ask about the price different they say they are not walmart and they don't give money back so I had to $16,900 for a walk in shower and they took the tub.
We are very happy with our new walk-tub. The installation was well done and very professiuonal.
They did the job fast , one day and took all the old waste material. Great job.
Installation was fast & efficient & done well. The product functions as well as expected. I love it
