Amazing walk-in tub which we purchased to make it easier and safer to use. We're thinking this one addition will mean we can stay in our house much longer than if didn't have this. The installation by the professionals from American Standard was first rate. This is an expensive purchase so I'm going on the assumption the tub will outlive either the house or the occupants. An added bonus was knowing that the warranty, including parts and labor, is lifetime! The only issue we had was in the delivery schedule, there was a mix-up but all's good.
Using this tub is a great experience. We purchased it for the safety of a walk-in but find it's also good as a spa treatment. Twenty or thirty minutes using the water and/or air jets soothe any aches and leaves one really relaxed.
the salesman could use a better understanding of the actual product and I think they should experience an actual install to help them understand more about what needs to happen and the space it needs to work in. The install guys were fantastic. They resolved every issue as it arose and kept the mess to a minimum. They were excellent in knowledge, ability and workmanship.
Love it! Love it! Love it!
So far we love it. Takes time to fill but worth the wait.
Melekalekimaka great tub. Helps a lot for Arthur rites
great tub and service install crew. aperfect 10. would recomend highly.
I was pressured into making decision the date the sales rep visited me. It isn't that I don't like my walk-in bath--I just wish I had checked out possible other types of tubs before making a very expensive decision. Also, specifically I was not advised until after I signed that I would need to get a larger hot water heater which cost another $5,000.
wish I had been told prior to installation that my hot water tank was too small
Good quality, good service, Good expert installation.
The tub is well built. However, it has a major design flaw which must be addressed before a 5 star rating can be given. If siting, when you attempt to pull yourself into a standing position, it is very easy to brush your arm against the power drain button by accident. BATH OVER!
GREAT!!! FEELS WONDERFUL. WELL WORTH THE MONEY.
THE WALK IN TUB IS GREAT BUT THE REPAIR OF THE WALLS THAT WERE DAMAGED IN THE INSTALLATION OF THE TUB WAS TERRIBLE. A PROFESSIONAL DRY WALL INSTALLER AND TAPER SHOULD BE USED. SOMEONE CAME OUT TO LOOK AT THE WALL AND CEILING BUT NO ONE CAME BACK TO REPAIR THEM.
It took two months to get the tub we thought we had purchased. The installation people did a fantastic job. It wasn't easy but they did it amazingly well. When we used the tub some of the features worked intermittently and then not at all. A new control switch was tried to no avail. When informed of the problems, the company sent a box of parts (two each of pumps, motors, switches and controllers) to our home with no explanation. The box did not travel well at all and some parts were broken. It took another call to get a service call from the installer. The tub now performs as advertised.
I am enjoying my walk in bath. Just sorry I did not get the model with the heated seat.
The tub and physical installation was great. The electrical seemed to have been done by unlicensed electricians and was done incorrectly. The tub would not work. We had to get a different electrician to change the wiring, change the circuit breaker and re-wire the tub outlets.
The walk in tub is as advertised. Very good job on the installation. Overall the cost was more than it should be.
tub is good but. foul odor coming from drain. my plumber looked and said they didn't put a P-trap in. called Am St and they had the plumber who installed it phone me.he was honest about no p-trap.came here with jack-hammer to create hole in concrete floor to hold bottom of p-trap. odor stopped, but there is air in the line.my plumber says that when he hit sewer line with j-hammer he may have dislodged 'crude' inside the line.keep flushing & running water, and it may resolve itself.I'm doing that. The A-S plumber did tell me that he hit the sewer line. He is a good honest guy.
I love my Walk In Tub.It is so easy to walk in, shower or soak and then walk out without fear of falling. That was the best investment we made because my husband also love. Dora Hebert
