A sewer vacuum truck with wheels that came up to the window on our Subaru pulled right into the inside lane I was in & the tire pushed me into the right curb scraping the side of the car. I can't remember the amount of damage, a couple thousand maybe, but the Acuity adjuster accepted me as responsible. I didn't see the police report but while we waited for the police the driver & his boss who came to the scene were apologetic. The police talked to them separately than us so so don't know what they said but she & they were city hires. The truck driver said to me he was moving into the right lane to enter the highway entrance ahead. There was no turn signal because every light on the truck was blinking left & right. The adjuster said it was my fault because I was "in his blind spot". Seriously, that is what he said. Not that it excuses the driver's actions but this is a massive truck with multiple large mirrors that shouldn't be on the road with a blind spot. I can understand if the adjuster decided the least expensive given the cost of litigation was just to repair our car but I didn't appreciate the insult to my intelligence of the reason & wonder if some of my premium increase this year was due to the accident.

I unfortunately had to make 2 claims on one job, both claims reps were very polite and helpful, I have been with Acuity for 6+ years, always had been affordable and easy payments, hopefully they keep me, I hate to have to make claims

We were looking at a vehicle out of state and decided to purchase after test drive that evening. I left a message for our agent before driving home since after hours by this time. No problem getting coverage when agent contacted me next day.
