Our previous insurance company we had been with about 40 years. We’ve never had the customer service we have now. They go above and beyond to help you. Thank you!

I have never made a claim, so I cannot respond to that issue. What contacts if have had with Acuity has always been handled well and timely. From conversations with friends and neighbors, Acuity's coverage and premiums are the best by far.

So far all seems good. Haven't really had to contact you for anything so no news is good news in my book. I appreciate trying to keep my fees down. Thank you!

The insurance is great, but I worry that the cost is getting to be more than my budget allows. Anything I can do about this?

I have business and auto insurance through this company. I was recently rear ended wile I was at a stop light. The insurance company was very friendly staffed and was on top of everything. Everything was covered no hidden fees with the policy I had. I was fortunate that myself and my daughter were okay and that the insurance company covered the repairs to my truck.

My agents, Rob Barbine and Stacy Stowell, were extremely helpful when helping us bundle home and auto insurance into Acuity policies 2 years ago, and again during renewal this year. They did a good job of understanding our needs and making sure the policies met these needs. I very much appreciate all of the protection provided in my Acuity policies. While insurance is more expensive than ever, I feel that I Acuity offers excellent value for the cost.

I was with Acuity, found for me by agent Linda Evans of Insurance Source (worst agent ever), for 12 years, since 12/26/12, and they had always treated me very well. (Acuity's Billing Dept., that is--not Linda Evans. Linda treated me like the cold, uncaring b***h that she is, in spite of how I ALWAYS treated her with civility, respect, and forgiveness, even when her knuckleheaded, pea-sized brain screwed up--like not telling me about how I needed to make sure my auto insurance cancellation date from my previous company she had found for me carried me all the way through the date of my new carrier to prevent a gap in coverage, for which the industry penalizes you and makes you pay a higher rate.) Acuity even allowed me to make smaller min. payments than what was called for. Their Billing Dept.'s compassion, understanding, and patience were great. Never had a bad experience with them, every one of their associates was cordial, kind, professional, helpful, compassionate, and didn't get bent if I had allowed the policy to lapse. They got the underwriters to reinstate me several times, were always compassionate toward my financial plight, & let me make small monthly min. payments that would cover me for a certain period of time. Wellll, that all changed last week. I had had a week from hell and had forgotten to pay my premium (the Cancellation Notice statement was in a letter tray behind my chair--out of sight out of mind), and their underwriter Tim cancelled my coverage--even AFTER I had borrowed the money to make an emergency payment on their website this past Friday that was higher than usual and included a reinstatement fee. (I tried calling them to make my payment by phone as usual, but they had closed for Good Friday. So I had to make the full payment on their website instead of making a partial one as they had allowed me to do so many times before.) My agent--LINDA EVANS OF INSURANCE SOURCE--emailed me that Acuity wouldn't reinstate me because of my "payment history over the past five years" (never mind the previous seven) and they were no longer insuring single-line policies--i.e., they'll only insure multiple lines now, like car bundled with house--which is extremely limiting and stupid business. (The name of my new CD.) She said this was non-negotiable. After a few choice words, I moved on to hunt for a BETTER insurance company--one that knows how to treat its customers. Thank God I found one who was amazing--an A+-rated company with an agent with great customer service qualities--courteous, cordial, caring, personable, thorough, professional, intelligent, kind, compassionate, down-to-earth, accessible, knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating, and resourceful. I've had very few customer service experiences like this one, even those that have been great. Hers was extraordinary! I can't think of enough nice things to say about her. She reviewed all my options with me, found me coverage that was great, tweaked a few numbers and coverages and limits, communicated clearly, accommodated my requests, and got me coverage that went into effect the same day--TODAY! Since Acuity had left me high and dry, I needed to be sure to get same-day coverage in case anything happened. Linda Evans is a cold, dispassionate, uncaring, hard-hearted b***h who never gave a rat's ass about my financial struggles and hardship and thus the difficulty I had with paying my premiums on time periodically. She's also not the sharpest tool in the shed, if ya know whut I mean. Words like "braindead," "dufus," "idiot," etc., come to mind. (And if she tries to contest any of this, I've got EVERY phone call we ever had on recording. I learned years ago through bad experiences with jack***es like her to record all business calls.) But hey: If you're a masochist who enjoys being disrespected, yelled at, sniped at, argued with, and having your needs ignored, then LINDA EVANS is the gal for you. In fact, if you're having financial trouble and are really struggling to make ends meet, and you want a good reaming, make sure you contact LINDA EVANS AT INSURANCE SOURCE and ask to be covered by ACUITY INSURANCE. Their Billing Dept. is great, but their underwriter TIM not so much. Linda YELLED: "THEY'RE NOT GOING TO REINSTATE YOU, BARRY, YOU'VE ALLOWED THE POLICY TO CANCEL TOO MANY TIMES AND ALL FOR JUST A $500.00/YEAR POLICY!" Guess we know why Linda's in the insurance game. It sure isn't to help people, like it should be. Update 4/15: Acuity posted this vanilla, cookie-cutter reply. Then a rep, who didn't even see fit to identify him/herself, emailed me & asked me to provide my policy #, which I did. Then I never heard back! Then they asked me to edit out her and Tim's names from my review--when I suspect it was a convo btwn. those 2 that resulted in them cancelling me.

Your premiums are too high!!! And your products don't meet our needs as a very very small business!

Having an insurance co. out of town sucks.NO PERSONAL CUST. SERVICE. NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. Always waiting on you instead of the other way around. I don't see a long relationship here. So hope this was a useful review, NOT
