Same story as many others on here. I paid for an item Dec 2012, a present for my son. It was delivered but faulty, so was returned to Wae+. I ordered another brand of the same item, was in stock but still had not come after 10 days. I got the usual "5-7 days" or "Supplier problem" etc. After 3 weeks and item had still not arrived I asked for full refund, was told "2 working days", then "wait until the end of August", still no refund. They do not even reply to my emails now. Reported to online police fraud, Birmingham trading standards, Watchdog and anything else I can find. They are a scam and should be shut down!
This website is a scam designed to separate you from your money. Whatever you are thinking about how good the price or the website looks forget it,it's all just a scam. They have no stock and will only give you the run around,avoid at all costs.
I ordered a cordless vacuum cleaner for £60 on 28th June last and I am still awaiting delivery. I am being told there are no operatives available to receive my telephone calls and the web site just tells me my order is awaiting delivery. Think before ordering from this site.
The website and prices look impressive. However, even after seeing that the ASUS PB278Q 27" monitors were in stock, it was only after I ordered that the reply came back that there was a 3 week delivery time. A phone call to customer service confirmed this because the goods are shipped from Germany. 3.5 weeks later, an email was sent saying that there will be another week's delay. After 5 weeks I decided to cancel my order, 3 months later I have received no refund and have passed the matter to my credit card company. Great website, very professional look, absolute dire service.
I'm so disappointed that before I placed an order online.I did call up to ask of the tablet in stock and the customer service officer told me its in stock.So I placed online and paid for it .The delivery said will be in 8 -10 days. Patiently waited after 10 days and I call up to enquire. The customer service officer told me its out of stock and don't know when will be in stock. So I don't wish to wait anymore and asked for refund. He told me it takes 30days to refund. After waited for more than almost 50days now but no refund taken place.I've tried to call them ,emailed them but they keep saying its in process . Until now I don't have my money back. So I strongly disagree of recommend you all to buy any products here regardless of price. Really bad customer service at all.
I bought a Brother DCP-J140 on 6th August and payment was taken on that date. Despite the website showing the item as "in stock" a delivery date of 22nd August was given to me via email. After two phone calls asking why my item was taking so long to deliver and why it was still showing the order as "processing" 10 days later, I rang and cancelled the order. That was 19 days ago and I am still waiting for them to return my money. Avoid them like the plague and hopefully they will be out of business soon instead of wasting potential purchasers' time! UPDATE 9th September. I received a letter today from Baines and Ernst Administrators to the effect that WAE went into liquidation on 2nd September and that I should contact my credit card company for a refund. WAE must have known about this for ages yet it appears that they have continued to take our money regardless. If anyone wants to complain about their conduct to the Administrator, you can do so by emailing [email protected].
I phoned to check that they had a high stock count prior to ordering an A3 scanner - spoke to a nice chap who assured me that all was well and they had over 20, so went ahead with the order. Phoned 20 days later, complaining that this had not been recieved, only to be told that they have had none in stock. But they would send one of similar value or higher and that they will send one over as soon as possible. Phoned today to be told from a "supervisor" that I was "lying" and that all he was prepared to only refund me the money and not esculate my complaint. Very poor!!
I ordered on 20-06-13 and was indicated (by the site) the delivery would arrive between 04-07-13 and 09-07-13 (over 2weeks?! okay, good enough I suppose considering the 25% saving compared to other retailers with the same product). After the 3rd email reply from you I realised it was your protocol to send automated messages to inquiries about late products so after multiple phone calls, during which I was told on two separate occasions "it will be with you by the end of the week" along with being told "there is a problem/delay with our European warehouse, can you wait another 7-10 working days?" a few times. I decided to do abit of research on the company (should of done this pre-order). I have not come across one positive review and have read horror story after horror story. It appears as if the company has undergone a rebrand and I have also read the company has been investigated by the BBC (panorama I suspect) and the Guardian, who discovered the company was employing people to write up positive reviews. After phoning trading standards today I was told they are a known problem and was advised to request a refund, which I did. I did however try one last time to get a 'straight' answer from the WAE+ customer service team but was simply given the usual 'fob off' answer of "another 7-10 working days". From the date of order to the date of cancellation (today) the whole ordeal took 10 weeks and 4 days (74 days) I can't stress enough to anyone reading this; stay well clear of WAE+, by far my worst online shopping experience in over 15 years of purchasing online. If my money takes a further 30 days to reach my bank account like alot of people on here are reporting, this will not be a good move by you. Believe me :)
I would not normally order from WAE but they supposedly had stock of a particular product I needed, so I placed an order on 31st July for £801 and after 3 weeks it was still "processing". I had to order elsewhere so cancelled the order with WAE and requested a refund. All I have received is an automated email saying it is being processed and they still have my money. Nobody ever answers the phone and I think they must be going bust. I have had to pursue the matter with my bank and I am seriously concerned I have been conned. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!
Ordered item in June 2013, still not delivered by mid July. I canceled the order and still waiting for my refund in September, 3 months later. Awful customer service too and you will wait ages to get speaking to someone when you ring. Will never purchase from this company again. Be warned!
rubbish stay clear if you value your money
When I ordered a laptop from your site the order stated that I would get the machine in 3-5 working days. The page showing the status of my order was very poor, showing that the order was "on schedule" even on the fifth day after the order when it had clearly not even been dispatched! I would probably still be waiting for the machine now if I had not phoned up to query the status of the order. The salesman I spoke to apologised profusely but offered me no recompense for the delay, and I still had to wait a further five days for the order to finally arrive at my door. I probably would not use you again if it was not for the price saving compared to other online shops. In fact I have just told a friend about you but warned them about the poor response time
Ordered a mobile phone on 22nd June which according to their web site was in stock and was due to arrive between 3rd and 5th July. Goods did not arrive so e-mailed them and received a reply 8th July that stated my order has been slightly delayed and will arrive in a few days. I asked them to confirm the date and they said I would receive it within 5 to 7 working days. 9 days later I still did not have my mobile phone so I phoned them and was told that they would recieve a shipment at the end of the month (another 12 days time). So I cancelled my order. I received an e-mail to confirm this and was told that they will refund me in full. Up until this point I did not realise that they had already taken the funds from me as most companies I deal with dont take the money until the goods are dispatched. I also had to wait a further 25 days for the refund. So the whole episode lasted from 22nd June until 14th August. This is a dreadful company to deal with and my advice is do not use them.
Have been waiting two months to receive my order with no contact as to what has happened.
I am usually careful about who I do business with on the internet but must confess I slipped up in this case. When I placed the order the website said the item (Sennheiser headphones) in stock but when it had not been delivered three weeks later I was told it was part of a 'delayed shipment' and was promised it would be with me the following week. So much for it being in stock. After another three weeks they finally admitted they could not fulfil the order but had made no effort to issue a refund, which I was told would be done in the next few days. I eventually did get my refund, ten weeks after placing the order and only after threatening legal action. I then ordered the headphones from Amazon and got them three days later. Don't be seduced by the low prices quoted as they mean nothing if the goods do not arrive.
Ordered a TV at the beginning of July , cancelled on the 26 july and still waiting for a refund in which i dont expect to get . After reading the reviews here i put a dispute in with my credit card company well before the 30 days i have to wait for a refund knowing it will take two weeeks for the credit card company to respond , i dont want them to keep my money any longer then the the 30 days they state. Below is one off many emails i sent I am just sending my last email to say that your service is probably one of the worse i have come across. To be fair the people i have spoken to have been pleasant , but i expect them to be very busy dealing with complaints. I don't expect to get a refund from you so i have requested a section 75 from my credit card company who are use to dealing with your company . I have also spoken to Mike Gutowski who you probably know. I do hope you manage to sort out your problems and stop letting your customers down , before you get shut down or run out of people to con Regards Mark
On the 10th August i placed an order with WAE+ on their online website for some computer components this order was placed on the belief and as advertised that these items were in stock. on the 12th Aug I contacted WAE+ to clarify delivery date and was told that these items were out of stock and were in a warehouse in Germany, the delivery date could not be meet and thus the order was canceled and was advised a refund would be actioned, I would reasonably expect the refund to have happened within 7 days as a required by the Office Of fair trading. I am still waiting for the immediate refund on 30th Aug, even after many emails a and phone calls If you buy from them prepare for a fight to get your money back
I ordered a Netgear WNCE2001, which after 2 weeks had still not been dispatched. When I contacted WEA+, they said this item was no longer available - despite it still being advertised on the website. When I tried to order a cheaper, replacement item, I was told I could only have a store credit for the difference in price, not a partial refund. The only way to get a refund was to cancel the whole order, which I have now done.
I order a 3d television from WAE on the 16/07/2013 and pay for it through my credit card. I phone them a few days later to find out the date of delivery, they refuse to give me a delivery date, but i received a e-mail stating that the order is delayed by 5-7 working days, i receive a second e-mail on the 18/07/2013 stating that i will receive it between 19th and the 23/07/2013. I did not receive the television on the 23/07/2013 so i phone the company about the order. The person i spoke to told me that the order is delayed so i will receive it with in the next 5 to 10 days time, at this point i cancel the order and ask for a refund. I received a e-mail on the 23/07/12013 stating that the refund will be processed and back in my account soon. I phone the company on the 02/08/2013 about the refund, The person I spoke to tell me that I will get the refund on the 23/08/2013. I ask why are you holding to my money so long, he reply, we are following protocol. Please avoid this company like the plague. This has being reported to the credit card company who refund the money and give WAE 45 to respond, so I will have to wait for another 50 days for the final outcome
I am still waiting for a full refund after my item did not arrive when it was promised. After numerous phone calls and emails not one member of management or supervisor (as promised) has made a phone call to me. Offshore call centres that were no help what so ever! Do not be fooled into thinking it is a company easy to contact in the UK? They still hold my £290, But were quick enough to take it from my account on the day of the order Very unacceptable service!
