The lift is a well designed and engineered product that was installed by friendly, efficient & professional craftsmen. The disruption to our normal way of life was minimal during the installation and they always cleaned up following the work undertaken each day. The company also kept us informed at each stage with good communications by email & phone.

Everything was done with care, consideration for us and great workmanship. It was a complicated installation and it needed to be done by an expert workforce, which Stiltz provided. Everyone doing the build was both caring, charming and knew their business. We are delighted with the finished product, and it has been much admired.

Expert installation. Lifts very unobtrusive even in a smaller room. Easy to operate and extends your ability to stay in your own home.

The quality of any supplier of a complex electromechanical product can be judged by the way they take ownership of and resolve unexpected issues. The building team arrived on June 29 and rapidly discovered that the surveyor had not got everything right and it appeared that the work done by our plumber in advance to move CH pipes, radiator and power was not sufficient. It soon became clear that everything was OK, with half a day wasted by our plumber who had been on standby the building work could begin. It was completed on Friday afternoon, the building team cleared up and left. Early the following week the installation team arrived, all went well...other that they left a deep gouge in the wood floor in our hall. They took ownership of the problem and worked with us and the builder that had laid the floor in 2011 to replace 2 boards from the stock we had retained for just this sort of issue. The floor was repaired today so the job can be signed off. I've given 5 stars, but really it should be 4.5, because of the damage done, but 5 stars for resolving the problem. The lift is first rate, the installation inconspicuous and the whole procedure, for a complex building process, painless. I think that perhaps they could improve communication between surveyor and both client and head office a little and explain that in any 50 year old house when existing services need alteration the customer has to pay for this, working with the Stiltz surveyor. A clear report detailing the required work would have been helpful. In our case this preliminary work cost about £2000 in all. Bottom line: good product, Good Company and highly Recommended.

The whole experience was about 8 weeks from first contacting Stiltz to installation. The men who installed the lift worked extremely hard over 4 days. It was more intrusive than we realised as the whole floor had to be taken up and built in furniture had to be removed which we hadn’t realised but the workmen were brilliant and ensured that our curtain pole could remain. Every house is different and they dealt with problems that arose calmly and imaginatively, really can’t praise them too highly. A glitch that arose after we had carpeted the ‘lid’ of the lift was quickly resolved by Kevin the lift engineer. It has fitted in to our sitting room extremely well and whizzes up to the study. The lift itself is amazing. We hadn’t realised it would be lined in carpet which coincidentally is the same colour as the sitting room carpet and fits in very well with the study decor. It has a built in mobile phone in case you become stuck if you are alone and need to contact Stiltz. It’s extremely quiet and we are delighted!

Although initially detailed information was difficult to obtain and there was some delay in getting the installation arranged the actual installation was excellent. Efficient, considerate and left the site in immaculate condition.

Process from start to end was first rate. No hard sell, just useful information. Kept informed at all stages and contacted by installers day before. Building and installation teams arrived as scheduled and both were very professional, did an excellent job and were very helpful. Both product and workmanship are of a high standard and I would not hesitate to commend this company.

The whole process from exploring the options for a wheelchair lift through to the completed installation was excellent. We were especially impressed by the build team and the installers, no mess and no damage. The quality of the lift seems excellent too!

Lift is wrongly described and explained. The customer service following installation leaves a great deal to be desired. We were reassured that the lift would work if there was a power cut but it only works for about an hour so if the power goes off during the night I am left with no way to get down the following morning.

We were kept well informed of each day's work. All the workers were pleasant and courteous. Disruption was kept to a minimum. Plenty of surplus wood for our woodburning stove.

The whole process was seamless and efficient. The salesman make it clear what could be done and where the lift could be fitted. Then everything from survey through planning permission was handled for us. The installation was completed in 2.5 days. All those involved in the process were charming and the workman cleaned up after themselves. We could find no fault in the whole process.

From the moment I phoned to enquire to the salesman visit to the final installation, every member of this company were excellent, polite and professional and a credit to the company. I have two elderly parents with early stage dementia and unsuitable open plan stairs which they had fallen down a couple of times, however they are insistent that they are remaining in their own home. Despite the dementia the salesman was courteous to my parents, included them in the conversation, but aimed the technicalities at me. There was no pressure sales. A stipulation of going ahead was a press and go lift not press and hold to go, as I feared they would forget to hold and get stuck half way between floors. Installation was arranged on Thursday & Friday just before the bank holiday weekend and just before I was going away for a short break from the Sunday. Unfortunately on install the lift software did not include press and go but press and hold. Despite their initial protestations that nothing could be done until after the bank holiday, I explained that I couldn’t leave my parents without this function as I had been escorting them up and down the stairs. This company, although they had made a mistake with the software, arranged for a software upgrade in the office on the Friday evening. An operative arrived on Saturday Morning to upgrade (Midlands to Lincolnshire trip). Unfortunately this also failed. A repeat of this was undertaken on Saturday with an operative driving from Cheshire to Midlands to pick up the software arriving in Lincolnshire to successfully complete the upgrade early Sunday morning in time for me to teach Mum and Dad and catch my train to Paris. Although sometimes things go wrong it’s how a company rectify the issue that makes the difference. Considering the Bank Holiday weekend and the pressing deadline of my train Stiltz went above and beyond. Thank you. Mum and Dad have lots more independence with this lift. I would highly recommend.

I have spent a long time answering a survey with your reviewer this morning, so I shall not complete any more surveys.
