Really pleased with the finished trio three floor lift. After a few teething problems were sorted I and our visitors are really impressed. A very smooth ride at a reasonable rate, with barely any noise, using just half a kilowatt. Tucked into the corner of all rooms it is not at all intrusive. Admittedly, the first floor has to have a lift shaft around the lift for fire precautions, which requires a separate door. If you get a three floor lift make sure the lift shaft door specification includes a window with appropriate handles on both sides.
The experience of buying a Stiltz home lift has been excellent from beginning to end from initial enquiry in late summer 2022 to obtain literature to the installation of a Stiltz Thrulift in our new home in May this year. The three installing engineers were terrific and the lift was completed in two days.We had some initial hiccups in use but the technical support was brilliant, the duty engineer skilfully talking me through what I might have been doing wrong – he was far too polite to say ‘user error’ but it probably was! Every phone call made to Stiltz was answered promptly by a cheerful human whilst the follow-up admin post-installation has been superb; technical issues, customer survey, extended warranty arrangements all handled most efficiently.
The fitters who installed our lift, did so knowing it had been fitted wrongly. They never informed us of the problem and we only found out because of the noises and scrapping sounds it was making. When this was pointed out, the fitters came back twice and still did not tell us of the error. It was not until the second visit that new and correct fitting items were sent by the company was it hopefully assembled properly. Having had the lift fitted because of disabilities we were still left sleeping in chairs downstairs until we felt the lift was safe. edited review following reply from Stiltzs We were advised the lift instillation would take one day. It took two days because of problems the fitters encountered while assembling the lift. the fitter came the following day to complete instillation. We were not informed of any concerns or worries and were told everything was okay and fine and he asked us to sign that he had completed instillation. When we mentioned about the grinding noise that concerned us along with the movement. We were informed, it was nothing to worry about and it would disappear as it bedded in. The grating or grinding noise became worse and was worrying. On further inspection we were informed there was a problem and the lift would require the assembly to be removed so that the problem could be rectified. This was concerning to the extent that we felt unsafe to use the lift. We are disabled which was the reason we required the lift. So while waiting for the mechanical problem to be rectified we slept downstairs. The following week the fitters came again, spent a day dismantling the lift, only to be told they required some new parts before it could be assembled properly. A lorry arrived and fork lifting a large box onto our property and the fitters arrived again and spent another day removing the lift and re-assembling it again with new parts. We were asked again to sign that the fitter had completed the re-assembly completion. It is quieter now and we are very careful when we use the lift and hope no further problems occur, although while re-assembling the lift, they damaged the ceiling, which although minor is beyond our our capabilities to repair as ladders would be required,
Professional and helpful team at every stage. From our initial enquiry to the final handover of our lift, we felt looked after. Stiltz did a wonderful job and left our home clean and dust free at all times.
First class service from an excellent company. We ordered a Trio through car, wheelchair lift in 2022. Stilz agreed to install at a time of our choosing and were happy to hold the order over until we were ready. Because we were building an external lift shaft it took sometime to find a suitable builder. Here Stilz again came to our rescue and put us in touch with one of their subcontractors. The work commenced in September and was completed in three weeks to a very high standard. The Stilz installation engineers were friendly and efficient, the lift install was completed in two days. We would recommend this company to anybody looking to install a personal lift in their home.
Efficient and timely from first enquiry to installation. Good tradesmen, tidy and friendly. Lift looks good, not the cheapest but worth the extra.
After initial problems obtaining info. from a particular individual, everyone at Stiltz has been extremely helpful and efficient. Can't praise them enough.
I would like to thank all those involved with the installation of my stiltz lift from builders, electricians, installers and anyone I may have missed, they were prompt, very professional, very polite ,cleared any mess up, inside /out rubbish was collected, would highly recommend the lift to anyone was shown how it all works & what to do incase of an emergency, say a power cut showed how the remotes work & the key for lift door, very pleased with it all a very big thank you also for the parcel , Kind regards John & Doreen Burgess
Great experience with this company from start to finish. No pressure sales, and a brilliant team of fitters. Excellent customer relations staff too. If you are looking for a lift we would fully recommend Stiltz Homelifts. In our opinion it’s much better than having to move to a bungalow or having a stairlift.
Absolutely fantastic from start to finish
My wife has dementia and fell and broke her hip but since we had the lift installed life is a lot easier. It makes getting up stairs easy and fast. We like it and it means we could stay where we are. Thanks for doing a great job.
Company very professional, kept to appointments, everybody I spoke to was able to answer any questions I raised. Actual lift installation took four days, people arrived on time, very polite, cleared up after themselves, very little mess. Given a demonstration on how to use the lift with the accessories. Pleased it does not take too much space, unobtrusive in corner of room. Pleased with purchase, certainly a benefit for my husband.
Efficient. Worked out how to fit a lift in a challenging location.
I have deleted my negative review after several discussions with their tech staff in USA.
I am temporarily deleting the review of my experience today in my new Stiltz lift, pending the resolution of serious technical issues. I am doing so based upon assurances from Stiltz that the matter will be promptly addressed and resolved.
All staff very competent and having understood the urgency of our situation made sure that the job was planned and executed as quickly as possible. The lift lived up to our expectations.
Great lift, excellent fitters, looks great.
The good: Stitlz provided an in house lift for my mother-in-law, which she was very happy with and it enabled her to move around her two story house for a number of years. The bad: service charges and renewing the guarantee seemed to be very expensive, especially as the engineer didn't need to complete any repairs during any of the services. When my mother-in-law passed away just before a guarantee renewal period was about to start, it was incredibly difficult to inform the company of this. I emailed (no response) then called the company when a message was left on the answer machine at my MIL's house. On this occasion I spoke to 2 different people and had to explain again, one member of staff was incredibly insensitive and seemed just to be out to get more money out of us to uninstall the lift. A few days later I got a call from another member of staff about us having requested a lift removal (we had not requested this). Then finally another call about a week after that asking about renewing the guarantee again. Each time I spoke to someone they had no idea of the situation and it seemed there was no system for communicating internally when someone dies. This makes things difficult for relatives having to explain over and over again that their loved one has died. I really think the company should have systems in place to deal with this situation given that they sell lifts and a large proportion of their clients are probably elderly and frail.
Professional, helpful and friendly company with a good product
Good response to sales enquiry. Good and comprehensive sales visit made decision to order easy. Technical survey very efficient and detailed. Installation team very good, very good finish including carpentry skills
