There is plenty of room IN the large space where both my quilting machine and my computer desk are situated; the problem was, this massive piece of furniture wouldn't fit through the doorway! It was even difficult to get down the hallway, as the sofa/bed rubbed the walls on both sides. The massive design (deep back, wide overstuffed arms, heavy legs) was larger than I expected, based on the online pictures. I completely rearranged another room for the piece, and it works in the new space. (The mattress is quite comfortable.) Just shows you're never too old to make a mistake. For a twin sofa-bed, this piece really is larger than it needs to be, but it's a fine piece of furniture.
I ordered a Broyhill sofa and loveseat Special and couldn't be more pleased. They're both amazing pieces of furniture and perfect for my front room. Planning to order another Broyhill set for my family room as soon as possible. Sofas and sectionals did an outstanding job and I would recommend them strongly if you want the best on-line deals! You won't be sorry at least not with my experience with this wonderful company!!
I have learned an expensive lesson about ordering furniture, even higher-quality furniture, online. I was leary about ordering furniture, sight-unseen and spoke to a sales rep, Ian, who reassured me that everything was going to go smoothly. I told him I read about the horror stories and that I was afraid it would happen to me. He assured me that they are using a new delivery agent and that those were things of the past. I found a set I loved and I bought it hook, line, and sinker. In mid-December 2014 I placed an order for a top-grain leather Klaussner living room set for $4283 based on a leather sample that I was provided from sofasandsectionals.com / InteriorMark. I was given a delivery date range of 8-12 weeks. I received an email on January 28 with waybill stating that my order was being shipped. After that, I received no further correspondence, no delivery set-up date, nothing. In mid-February I emailed sofasandsectionals.com (SS.C) to see what was going on and was told it was at the local deliver carrier ready to ship and that I should call them, so I did. On February 11th the deliver company informed me that only part of the order was ready for shipping, as the sofa was damaged and had to be sent back. I reported this to (SS.C)/interiormark (IM) and then then had to place another order for another sofa and had the remaining furniture delivered. The love seat, chair, and ottoman were delivered, with an indention in the ottoman's fabric from someone stacking something heavy on it. I thought it would come out, but it never did. The sofa FINALLY arrived on 5/2/2015 with the wrong legs, which caused the sofa to be about an inch or more shorter than the rest of the furniture. I emailed SS.C/IM and let them know the sofa had a random set of legs that didn't match and they scheduled for the correct legs to be sent out, and scheduled a repair technician to come out to place the legs onto the sofa. I also asked if the repair technician could look at the dent in the ottoman's leather fabric which was also STILL there. They confirmed that they would. After this, I noticed that there were several places in the new couch's leather that the material was cracking and splitting, which high quality top grain leather should not do. Upon further inspection my husband and I discovered that two different types of leather were used to construct the sofa, a sturdy thick leather which the back and sides were encased in, and a thin, fragile, easily damaged leather that covered where the skin touched. This was confirmed by the presence of extra leather material included for repairs under the seat that were also two different types (thicknesses) of leather material that was included for repairs under the seat. It didn't make sense to wrap the exterior of the sofa in sturdier leather and wrap the areas where the body touches with the thinner, softer stuff. Most reputable furniture companies doe the opposite, as where the body touches gets more wear than the sides and back. Being that the furniture was already splitting and cracking in less than a month's use, I realized there wouldn't be anything left to it within a year and did not want to pay that amount of money for sub-par leather that wouldn't last, so I decided to send it back. Upon notifying SS.C/IM of the issues, including photographs of the damage, they informed me that that type of wear is to be expected of high quality top grain leather. That was an ignorant statement, as everyone knows that the more you pay for leather, the more durable and sturdy it should be. I was then offered a $400 incentive to keep the damaged furniture, which I turned down. I was told that I would receive a partial refund (-$400 for return shipping) within 5-10 business days of the furniture pick-up being confirmed. The furniture was picked up on June 20th, I promptly let the company know. On June 22nd I received a credit memo for $876.00 via email, and knew that couldn't be correct. When I emailed them back and inquired about it, I was told that due to a clerical error, they had sent the credit memo for the wrong thing, and that it would be corrected and I would be sent a new credit memo. On June 29th I emailed and let them know that I had still not received a corrected credit memo or a refund to my card. I was told that the case had been escalated to upper mngt twice via email, and once when my husband called on July 6th, 2015, in order to get the refund processed. I emailed twice more since then, and have yet to receive word on it. It has been over 10 business days and I am still without furniture or a refund. I was afraid of getting the run around and I realize now that's exactly what has happened. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in hopes that they will help to get a resolution. I thought that the issues of ordering online wouldn't happen to me and I was wrong. I have since been working with a local furniture company to find a sofa set that I love, and is a better quality (American Premium Leather). However, I cannot pay for it until I receive my refund back from Sofasandsectionals.com / InteriorMark. Just shop local. If I ever get my money back, I'm still out $400 that I had to pay to return the crappy furniture that I never would have purchased in the first place had I know the leather quality was not very good.
First, they claim to be a "small " company but every time you call you can never speak to the same person who originally took your order. My order took much longer than the allotted 6 weeks. Then a piece was damaged and it took 2 weeks longer so in all I had to wait like 10-12 weeks for my sectional sofa. Also I had to accept a "damaged" but repaired piece to keep from waiting another 6 weeks or longer for another piece to come back out to me. Never ask for the customer service manager "rock" or something or other because he will never return any of your calls. He isn't a man of his word and he just placates you to get you off the phone. The only salesperson I could get to do anything was Troy and I believe all I wanted was someone to tell me the truth and I would have been ok with the delay. Also once the furniture arrived it was the wrong color. "Rock" made it seem as if I didn't accept the furniture He would be fired and destitute so a guilt trip was added to my misery. That he was really doing "me a favor" by seeing if he could get me a 10% refund. I spoke to two ladies during this fiasco who was very nice and tried to see if they could help and the process kept dragging out. Once the furniture arrived you have watch the delivery people for the will check all of the blocks that say everything was great and you sign a paper that you actually didn't fill out. Also make sure the delivery people come in and wash their hand before unloading your furniture for their hand are filthy and you end up with black smudges all over your pieces and then they put on rubber gloves when they bring them in after they have already gotten dirt all over everything. When you order your furniture make sure you understand what" left arm and right arm facing" really means or you will get your set backwards. When you tell them " when you are "SITTING DOWN" you want the arm on the left, make sure the person taking the order understands its common sense what you want. So this experience wasn't the greatest for me, however the quality of the furniture is great , the leather is like sitting in a cloud although it was the wrong color, it ended up being good in my room so that was a up side. Everyone that has been in my home says that my living room looks like a magazine ad. I had 3 more rooms to do but I am terrified of a repeat experience. I love my sectional and I appreciate the kindness "Troy" showed me in the end and All they really had to do is be truthful.
Arrived later than expected date. Had to reach out to customer service several times for updates. Was told they would contact me before charging credit card that did not happen. Saw the charges after the fact on my credit card statement. Delivery guys chipped molding on door frames when bringing in item into home. Furniture had a few scratches. No follow up was made to me about furniture delivery satisfaction of the item or delivery itself. Overall the furniture is ok
I received my sofa and chair in perfect condition , love the color and way it performs .. Thank You so much..
This is the first review I have ever written, but since this was the most disturbing purchase fiasco I have ever had in my many years of living, I have to let anyone out there who is looking for anything from this sham of a company, BEWARE!!!! Just as in many of the comments on here (yeah check out before buying!), the company is incompetent. Very similar issues. Fact: Ordered $1622 sectional on Nov. 5th 2014. Fact: March 25, 2015 I officially cancelled my order due to non-receipt. I felt that, given such horrid....and I do mean horrid customer service, especially from my forced-upon sales rep the ever incompetent Kristen, and "manager" Rock, I became increasingly concerned about the final product, as well as customer care if anything was wrong in the shipment. How could I work with these people?! At one point I requested a different sales rep, someone I had communicated with pleasantly in the elusive Kristen's absence (and I do mean Absence!), only to be told that I couldn't switch sales reps and had to remain with Kristen. Can you imagine that?! I own a small company and would NEVER treat a client in such a manner. Especially as this request was made after Kristen completely boggled my order, to that point. This company deserves to be out of business as they promise and promise, leaving people hanging. I will extract lessons from all this, including reading reviews all the time for big-ticket items, and hopefully if you, the reader, sees this review along with other reviews, you can make a better-informed purchase decision.
although I was reluctant to order online this type of purchase, I must say that the product and service exceeded my expectations from the initial contact with Tom the customer service person when ordering to the delivery of the product as promised. No issues what so ever.
I am not satisfied with this purchase. The power recline on the left is having issues and not working part of the time since the first week. It works so slowly that I wish we had purchased manual recline. There are issues with the overall fit of the leather and pulling of the stitches. We own a Palliser sofa/chair and ottoman that are 20 years old that look Just as good as this new piece.
The furniture was delivered in a very timely fashion and was well organized. We received the furniture with no problems and would definitely use this company again.
Everything was great except for the timing. The delivery was to be within 4-6 weeks. They barely got it here within the six weeks. This could have been avoided by the company processing the order in a more timely manner. However, everything else was great. The sofa was actually even better than expected. Sleeps very well. Color is what we wanted. The delivery company did an excellent job.
No complaints about anything.
The process of ordering my sectional was simple, customer service was easy to contact and able to make any changes/corrections when necessary, and the Rowe Furniture Dorset sectional is perfectly upholstered in a gorgeous fabric. It's just what I wanted. The only delay came during the inspection before delivery—it took about a week longer than I had anticipated. Delivery was timely once arranged and the delivery men were on time and assembled the furniture quickly. It was an all around positive experience shopping at SofasandSectionals.com!
I ORDERED FROM THIS SITE LAST WEEK OF APRIL. THE COMPANY STATED IT WOULD BE DELIVERED WITHIN 3 WEEKS OF ORDERING. IT IS JUNE 24TH AND I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED MY DINING ROOM SET. I HAVE BEEN CALLED TWICE TO SET UP DELIVERY BUT THEN TOLD" I'M SORRY YOUR ORDER IS NOT READY TO BE SHIPPED. WE ONLY HAVE PART OF YOUR ORDER SO WE WILL CONTACT YOU WHEN THE OTHER PART COMES IN" I HAVE HAD TO CALL THEM MULTIPLE TIMES ASKING WHERE IS MY TABLE. THEY HAVE MY MONEY THOUGH.
The website was very user friendly, I felt. I also called to receive additional assistance from a sales rep, and he was very courteous, helpful, and polite. I was kept informed about my purchase through email updates. I was a little less than happy with the original shipping company, but when I called and asked to switch, it was handled within 24 hours, very efficient. The company that did finally deliver my sectional was very friendly, professional and again helpful. My husband and I are thrilled with the sofa. It is extremely comfortable and fits perfectly into the space.
Outstanding furniture and a great value.
Technicians were prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable about any questions that I had about my delivered items.
I ordered a love seat in January. A month later I was told the manufacturer discontinued that model. I selected a different brand and manufacturer: Lane "Garrett", and re-ordered in February. I was informed that the manufacturer had a backlog and my order would be held up. Sofas and Sectionals dropped the price on my order for my inconvenience. I was told I would receive shipment of my order in mid-March. In April I had still not received my order and was told it would be shipped in early May. Still no shipment, and Sofas and Sectionals gave me a five-year warranty on the love seat for my inconvenience. I finally received shipment on May 28. From initial order to final delivery took approximately five months. We are very pleased with the piece of furniture. The staff at Sofas and Sectionals went out of their way to to assist us, as did the delivery company. Our dissatisfaction is with the length of time it took to manufacture and deliver the love seat. This was my first, and probably my last experience of ordering a "non-stock" item on line.
Ordered on line. Very accommodating sales staff. Great deal due to price matching. Delivered by the deadline as promised. Beautiful sofa.
We love our new furniture. The delivery was fast and very professional. Highly recommend.
