I would have rated 5 stars but staff members need to give more attention to checking customer details. Having agreed a delivery date I took the day off work to be there to take delivery of my bike, only to receive a phone call late morning to say that the bike had not been dispatched as agreed. Another date was arranged and the bike arrived 4 days later. I experienced problems tightening the headset, even after watching the workshop video, and would highly recommend using a torque wrench when setting up the handlebars and adjusting the seat post etc. I am however, delighted with my new e bike (Beat Bike Toba) and would not hesitate to recommend this particular brand and 50 Cycles.

The bike I brought I am very pleased with, it is a joy to cycle, Beat bike Toba. The sales service is about on parr, not brilliant customer service, which you would like for spending that sort of money

I have owned the Battery Bycycle for some time now. The german made cycle is of excelent quality and gives the very best service. I may have it serviced sometime soon in a shop in Bristol recomended by 50 Cycles. This is normal after sometime! Very straightfoward and approachable firm to deal with. Rob.

I have had my bike for 6 years. getting the right spares on the website is frustrating and, as I ride every day , the lack of service agents is appalling. I would love a new bike but service in 2 of the shops was so poor that I left without a purchase. Test rides should be available in all sizes NOT just for those 6'6" and over!!!

The customer service was adequate but the product did not live up to expectations. I have since sold my expensive Kalkhoff bike and purchased a cheaper (half the price) folding bike with pedelec AND throttle control which whizzes up local very steep Cornish hills with no problem. My partner who has a disability has purchased a similar bike and is now able to cycle for the first time in over thirty years.

The staff in the shop in the city centre location above the "Bear Pit" where friendly and appeared knowledgeable. I'd test drive an electric specialised bike with disaterus results (snapped chain at 15 mph...ouch). So I decided after a few months to try again found that the Cube suited my needs and at 1/2 the price of the specialised bike I decided to buy it after a hassle free test drive! I placed an order for the bike after reserving it a couple weeks earlier in my size and in my preferred colour red to match the pick up I'd bought the wife. I don't drive myself but don't mind getting a lift. We are planning to cycle to Hong Kong and I'm disabled (from a motorbike accident) the push bike has become my wheel chair and the electric bike has become my stallion ;) I placed my order paid a deposit of about 700 and arranged a 1 year interest free loan for the balance I could have gone to another shop and gotten a 2year deal but this was not an available with 50 cycles. I chose to give them my business as they had given me plenty of time and some of them were my customers at The full Moon Backpackers & The Attic Bar. After a couple weeks I called up asking what was going on I really needed help getting around as my other leg had started playing up (collapsed arch) I was told that there had been a problem with my loan application I advised them after some consternation that if they put me in touch with the loan company I could sort it out, which I did. (I've been cloned) I then got a call from head office to say that the bike I'd ordered was not available (even though the same lady had been in the shop when I paid my deposit) in the specified colour and had in fact had never been available! As you can imagine I was not happy but agreed to take the same bike in a different colour (first world problems). I think a little discount etc could well have been offered along with a proper explanation. Instead I was made to feel extremely disapointed and that my loyalty was well miss placed. When the bike arrived the new guy running the shop (all of the previous staff had mysteriously disappeared) was under extreme stress English was his second 3/4 language and he was on his own. I had to ask him to set the bike up for me (panniers etc) which he happily did as to turned out incorrectly but compared to the other staff and under the circustances forgivable. I can't recommend 50 cycles even though I will still use them for continued servicing I kind feel it's amoney problem within the company but i could be wrong?

Bought two electric bikes one had a fault which they couldn't find so the bike was replaced . The other bike has been back three times for different things under warranty one of the items that was rectified has to be replaced again at my expense . More trips to Loughborough than I care to think about all at my expense .

Purchased my Pro Connect over 3 years ago and without doubt it has proved the best bicycle I have ever bought. No maintenance problems whatsoever. Have not even given it a drop of oil. Occasionally switch off the power to give myself a better workout and it performs just as well as any ordinary geared bicycle. Replaced the saddle post in the first couple of weeks with a sprung post to give myself a smoother ride on the uneven roads in my area, but that is hardly the fault of the bike. Would recommend 50 Cycles to anyone.

I tried to contact 50 cycles on numerous occasions and despite all of the right noises I gave up as they were clearly not able to keep their promises. I am still awaiting a response from their sales manager from May 2016.

Very supportive and honest in the buying decision phase. Bike arrived on time and they immediately responded when I had a subsequent follow up question.

I think I made the right choice buying from 50cycles. I'm also glad I chose a Kalkhoff integale, it's a real quality bike. So glad I didn't go down the cheap Chinese route. Pete
