I bought my Kalkhof Pro Connect Xion 30G electric bike from the Hampstead Wick branch of 50 Cycles in June 2014. The service was excellent, plenty of advice and the opportunity to test several bikes before taking my final choice for a long test ride in the nearby park was great. I had a minor issue with the bike after I got it home which was resolved with a quick phone call. I live in Devon so have had the bike serviced locally, and therefore cannot comment on long term after sales service. I did email them about something else, again comparatively minor, about 10 months after I bought it and never received a reply, hence knocking off one star; I eventually got the help I needed from my local bike shop. The bike is fantastic, I have used it for many long rides and it performs brilliantly. I would definitely recommend the bike, and 50 cycles for choice and advice pre purchase

Great service from staff 'in store' with a good range of cycles to test ride and nice safe area to ride around on an unfamiliar cycle. Staff had good knowledge of the products and gave good advice when I was deciding which cycle was best for me. I was excited at the prospect of receiving my new £2k + cycle. Very very disappointed that it was not delivered on the day agreed, I had booked a day off work to ensure I received this expensive item. After a phone call to 50cycles they advised my cycle was still in the warehouse not 'out for delivery'. After expressing my great displeasure they offered me a some side panniers worth £11 which I didn't need as I already had some! Even more disappointing is that there was no follow up call/contact checking that I had received my cycle nor that I was happy with my purchase nor to check if I had any questions or concerns about its set up or use. The only contact from then to date have been regular emails regarding sales of new cycles - having spent over £2k I won't be changing my cycle for a long time. In summary staff and product choice = good; ability to appreciate the impact of missed delivery day - very poor - unapologetic; 'after sales' care/advice = non existent!

Bought two Kalkhoff, one Integrale i8 and one inclusive in your showroom in Bristol . Excellent Service during the sale Procedere and verry friendly staff. Also verry competent six weeks Service was conducted. And last but not least we are verry happy with our Beiles! Michael&Batalja from Bristol

50 cycles is a reliable company. My electric bike was delivered to me in Australia. Problems experienced in the importing process were caused by my inexperience. An importing approval and declaration as to the non-existence of asbestos in the battery, were not obtained by me in a timely manner, causing return of the bike to Loughborough. The bike arrived via FedEx and in very good condition, well packed with most of machine fitted together. Although quite heavy, about 21 kg including the 3 kg battery, the 500 wh battery and 250 watt electric motor provides excellent acceleration. It's range, using each of its 3 power settings, over undulating bike tracks, is about 130 km. Yes, I am very pleased with this bike and confidently recommend it to any prospective buyer.

Had 2 kalkhoff cycles since 2011 . fantastic strong build , up to date technology , lots off happy miles throughout the country at 66 hope to have many more . absolute 5 star cycle's.

We purchased two Kalkhoff electric bikes one was ok the other was a Friday afternoon job with several faults despite being expensive bikes. 50 Cycles were slow to respond to our complaints and it took several phone calls before receiving any form of satisfaction.

Poor after sales help with problems and was never sent the pump which should have been included and which I was promised. Bike is great though.

The bike you sold me is too heavy for me and I cannot peddle uphill. I have to push the bike up a hill and then get on it. I need a lighter bike and a lighter battery. I have to transport the bike on a carrier to the park as I do not feel safe on the roads -again the bike is too heavy to do this, Therefore I I have not had many pleasant experiences of riding the bike. I regret buying it.

Great Service. Even liaised with the manufacturer who picked up the bicycle after an issue promptly fixed it and return delivered it to my place of work with no charge.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable hour trying out bikes and getting help picking the one I wanted. The chap serving my was very patient and friendly. The after sales care was excellent as well. Would get my next elecrtric bike from them, though the one I have is showing no signs of needing replacing anytime soon.
