Great product supplied, but indifferent customer service, both in store and lack of responses to emails. They seemed more interested in the, at the time, Birmingham bike show where they would only meet prospective customers rather than properly looking after someone who had just spent nearly £5000, bizarre behaviour!!

excellent service + my 3 year old Kalkhoff Endeavour Impulse S10 XT now shows 200+ miles range in Eco setting + no hills are too steep - that's world beating performance + I weigh 120Kg. A lighter rider would get even further on a full charge!

Good quick action once I had tried the bike. However had to return service book for completion. It got lost and for some reason they have yet to send another although as agents for Kalcoff I would have thought that these would have been readily available.

First class service from start to finish. Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. If you are in the market for an electric bike give these guys a call or pop in and see them you won't regret it. Highly recommended.

From Aberdeen to Loughborough is not an ideal situation to be in to purchase and get fitted up for an electric bike. However as I could not get the Haibike model I was after locally I came to see yourselves and was delighted with the knowledge and service provided by your staff. It's not all about the bike which is excellent by the way it's about the service and barring some delivery damage everything has worked out to my satisfaction.

I received excellent service when I ordered a bike from 50 cycles at their Sayonara Sale on 7.10.17. I particularly liked being able to trial ride a number of bikes on the large cul-de-sac outside their Loughborough Headquarters. Thank you Mike Conway. You were very friendly and helpful. Douglas

I have given one star for two reasons . Firstly the bicycle was a disappointment because no matter how hard I pedal it doesn't deliver the power smoothly it comes in fits and starts and Jerks not what I was looking forward to. No matter how hard I pedal it only delivers a small amount of power according to the bar on the Control Panel . Secondly although the staff at Twickenham were most helpful I returned the bike after 10 days because the weather was so bad I couldn't get down earlier and they saw it was in perfect condition and I happy to take it back but the accountants at head office said no it was too late I had to have it. I look forward to your reply before I put a review on social networking

Absolutely totally love my bike. It has transformed the amount of cycling I do. I now commute to work most days, which I would not ever have been able to do before as it's 7 miles each way with several ferocious hills and I always have a lot of stuff to carry with me.

Excellent advice given. Personal preferences understood and accommodated. Delighted with my purchase which has exceeded my expectations for combining exercise and exploring the countryside.

Having been told I needed to lose weight and do regular exercise for medical reasons I purchased an electric bike on Ebay, which in hindsight was a mistake as I knew nothing about them and in particular one of the most important aspects about an e-bike, the battery. Although the newly purchased Wisper 905 SEL had been a good initial introduction to the joys of e-bikes (even though I had to buy a new battery within the first month), I was fed up of getting covered in oil etc when the chain came off. After a lot of internet research I went to see the Kalkhoff range at 50 Cycles new shop in Loughborough and went for a test ride for about half an hour. The staff were really helpful and knowledgeable and there was no pressure to buy, only that I looked at what was right for my own situation. I ended up purchasing a Kalkhoff Integrale S11 belt drive which is seriously good. A very sturdy bike with 11x gear levels at 5x power levels there are no inclines I now cannot beat, albeit you still need to pedal just that the assistance level is adjusted. The battery (on top power mode) still lets me do 45 miles without recharge which is around 3hrs cycling. This bike has not only contributed in a major way to my health getting back to normal but has also re-kindled the enjoyment of being out on the open road on a superb piece of engineering that is reliable beyond comparison and extremely well spec'd. I'd thoroughly recommend the bike, the 50 cycles store and also the staff in helping anyone find what they're looking for in a knowledgeable and relaxed way.

My bike has been a joy. I recommend to anyone who will listen. I am hoping to buy another for my partner if the sale is still on.

I bought a Kalkhoff bike for my wife online with no problems. I would suggest that anyone who buys a Kalkhoff, change the tubes for tubes with schraeder valves. Easier to pump up and check the correct pressure. (Using a car foot pump and pressure gauge.) Also when charging the battery, keep charging until the charger is cold. This will ensure the battery is fully charged. I have a British bike with a throttle. My wife wishes she had that on her Kalkhoff. Easier to start on hills or push up a steep slope. Other than that she adores her bike. We both have bikes with 17 amp batteries, necessary for long distant travel. We travel a lot further on our electric bikes than we ever did on non electric bikes.

Clear and helpful attitude throughout all the process - from demonstrating, trial, explaining the product, to sale and delivery. Did not have any warranty issues, so cannot really say how this would work. The only thing is on the pricing - sometimes they send an offer, claiming a "spectacular special" discount, but then a month or two later you can see that the regular price became less than that. But that is a widespread practice anyway. I guess the best strategy is to buy only when you are going to really use it.

Problems with ordering bike in 1st place. Issues with steering column - back to shop twice - still not resolved. Not impressed by the poorly engineered part. Told that the only way to fix it would be to weld the steering column! I live 70 miles from shop - difficult to return for fixing problems etc. Would advise only buy if you live local to shop.

Just the best place to buy an electric bike! Try beforev you buy, expert advice and super aftercare.

Bought my bike unseen, no test ride, from across the ocean! I absolutely love the Kalkhoff! I had an issue at first with the different charging voltages, but 50 cycles actually sent me another charger! I see lots of newer machines, I think those might be fun, but that Bosch drive is so awesome, I’m afraid anything else would be a disappointment.

Great deals on electric bikes

my bike arrived on time, and was very easy to get set up. I really love the bike and my local bike man has contacted 50 cycles once and found them to be really helpful. Absolutely no problems, and I would use 50 cycles again.
