What a lovely way to spend an evening. From meeting with a friendly group to the celebratory drinks we were guided by a knowledgeable pilot. Russ boosted confidence and provided interesting commentary.

After being a little nervous initially, there was absolutely nothing to worry about. The pilot (Peter) and crew (Keith & Stuart) were extremely friendly and made the entire experience amazing! Would definitely recommend to anyone to do and this won’t be my last balloon flight! The views and calmness were breathtaking.
Swetha my little daughter and my wife Matcha lakshmi took me to the ride on hot air balloon from Oxford ice rink place and we have started early by 8 AM .The experience is amazing and memorable and after nearly 1 hour sky view pictures recorded in the minds we are landed in a farm land and started packing the balloon and participated in the transport of basket & balloon.

Our pilot was absolutely amazing and she made the trip so enjoyable. Aside from the flight being breathtaking, we loved being part of the team assembling and deflating the balloon. She was fascinating to talk to and really involved the kids in the whole experience.

We had beautiful weather with some wispy mist and then clear skies and a gentle breeze. Our pilot, Nobby Simmons filled you confidence and made you feel at ease. He pointed out landmarks below and answered everyone's questions. We had a lovely soft landing and then Nobby poured us a glass (well, actually, a compostable plastic cup) of champagne whilst telling us a little about the origins of ballooning. All in all a fabulous experience.
The pilot and crew were very informative and gave clear instructions. We had booked the flight in 2022 but due to weather conditions etc the days we booked weren’t any good for flying eventually on the 17th attempt and over three seasons we were rewarded with a brilliant experience .

We flew from Bath in September. The Pilot (Nobby) and ground crew Glyn were fantastic. Very upbeat and professional. We had a majestic flight bath to the south west with stunning visibility and views. This was our third booking attempt and it was worth the wait.

After a number of attempts, myself and my son finally made our balloon flight this year. I have given 5 stars for the actual flight experience since it feels unfair to mark the experience down because of the numerous cancellations due to weather (obviously beyond the control of Virgin) conditions on the day. We finally took off from York racecourse early morning and what a brilliant hour in the air it was. The day was cloudy but our pilot took us above the clouds to see the sun; absolutely amazing to see the shadow of the balloon on top of the clouds below; something I'll never forget! The flight was as smooth as silk to a maximum height of approx. 2,200 feet as we drifted a few miles from our start point, landing with a slight bump. We helped to set up the balloon and then fold it up after landing and after a quick toast to a successful flight we were taken back to our start point. Overall event time approx 3 hours and totally recommended, but be prepared for your flight to be cancelled more than once due to the British climate!
This was such a great experience. My friend who accompanied me was scared of heights but went on to love the whole evening. We were blessed with a glorious, late summer evening and the whole crew were great. Special thanks, however, are needed for our fantastic pilot, Nobby, for making us feel so utterly safe. He was so informative and the whole experience is something I will never, ever forget.
