The experience was terrific. The last 20 minutes of driving to the launch venue was on slowish windy roads, warming you up for a nicely remote and rural start. It was interesting and fun to see and be asked to help with a small part of preparing the balloon before the flight. The pilot and team were fun, friendly and interesting. For me one highlight was being able to see London's skyscrapers in the far distance and, in the opposite direction, seeing the Channel, the Isle of Wight and that it is separate from the mainland. Overall an excellent experience. We're about to book again for next year.

Allie and her ground crew were brilliant from start to finish on our flight from Tiverton. We were incredibly lucky to have booked a date with good enough weather to fly on our first attempt! Be prepared - when you go ballooning, everyone becomes crew, and what a joy it was to be able to assist from setting up to packing up. The flight itself I couldn't possibly find words to truly describe it (its just a feeling I'll never forget) but just WOW! Allie's expert knowledge and guidance whilst in the air was next to none, along with the smoothest flight & landings. We were early risers and out for the AM flight, and boy did it reward us with some of the most incredible sunrise views. We were able to see all the way from Tiverton to the Mendips, as well as over to Exeter and the coast. I couldn't recommend this to anyone enough, and cannot wait to return for another flight. Many thanks to Allie and her team for making our first flight, the best experience possible.

Can honestly say I was very apprehensive about a balloon flight as not good with heights but I thoroughly enjoyed it so serene lifting up out of the mist was magic. Felt so save and would advise anyone to do this brilliant experience and staff were brilliant

What an awesome experience, brought it for my husband birthday! One more ticket off his bucket list. Booked it Friday 13th September 2024 @ Tiverton it was a lucky day for us the weather was perfect. Our pilot Allie Dunninton (what a lady) inspirational 💕 & her team A+++++++++++++ My husband hasn’t stopped talking, we were lucky enough while up in the sky to get a photo from our friend who was on the M5 at the time 😃

The experience was amazing 🤩🤩. The only thing that bother me is that I needed to wait for two years to have an experience. I can tell that it was worth it.

Pete (pilot) and crew (Terry and Dave) made us welcome right from the start, and involved us in both the preparation and packing-up at the end of the flight, making me feel part of the event. I can't think of enough superlatives to describe the flight itself - fabulous, serene, sublime, incredible - you get the picture. What an experience, and one that I can't recommend highly enough!

We were fortunate to have good weather and were able to take off on our first attempt at booking a flight. The team were excellent and those who wanted were able to get involved in preparing the balloon. The flight itself was beautiful, an oasis of tranquillity in our busy world. The skill of the pilot was amazing as we dipped low over the river and ascended to the tree tops and beyond to get incredible view across the valley and out to sea. It was an all together amazing experience and one I will remember for years to come.

We was lucky enough to get a flight on our first attempt which was great because it was our anniversary . Mike and the crew where very friendly knowledgeable and hard working , on our flight we had a very inquisitive young solo flyer who asked many questions and the crew were extremely patient and accommodating to his needs . Getting involved with the set up and packing of the balloon was great fun and added to the day . The flight was even better than expected lasted longer and it's so peaceful up there

Chris, our pilot, and the ground crew Eddie and Mike were fantastic. Made us feel at ease from the very first moment (especially as I’m normally a nervous flier!). Chris had excellent knowledge and guided us through the whole experience which was just magical. Floating through the air is something everyone should experience. My wife and I recently went on a virgin balloon flight, with was brilliant. The Pilot, Ollie and his team were great and we felt totally safe during every situation. Things were explained to us very well, and we would totally recommend Ollie and his colleagues and Virgin Balloon Flights

A first class experience all round. From all the comms and telephone messaging re whether the flight would happen or not, after several cancellations (totally understandably given the weather) when we were eventually able to fly the information was detailed and comprehensive. The flight itself was amazing. Russell our pilot was superb - very informative, and great fun. Clearly also a very skilled pilot given the scanning and selection of a landing spot and then the smoothest landing imaginable with hardly a bump. To see the countryside and the area where you live from the air is breathtaking and the whole Virgin experience was outstanding, with Russell being a particular stand out of the experience. I would highly recommend. Even 4,200 feet up you don't really feel you are that high up, except for when you take in the awesome views. It felt totally safe throughout and the basket and overall flight highly stable with very minimal movement. Helping to get the balloon ready and inflated and then deflated and packed away at the end really helped to give an appreciation of what goes into setting it up and how the balloon works. All in all a highly enjoyable ride!

Our family had an amazing balloon flight over Bristol with Virgin Balloons. We watched a beautiful sunrise as we set off from Ashton Court Estate, we flew over the Clifton Suspension Bridge which was spectacular, and after nearly an hour in the air we landed in Chipping Sodbury. This was an incredible experience and our pilot, Mike Petteford, and the crew were very friendly, helpful and professional. We would definitely recommend flying with Virgin Balloons.

Despite the weather being perfect each time, they have cancelled our flight twice due to “poor weather conditions”. I’m convinced Virgin cancel flights in hope that after 18 months paying customers have forgotten about it and the expiry runs out. How on earth can you expect to run an air ballon business if the weather is always bad? (apparently). No refund. No swapping experience days. Don’t bother booking or you’ll waste your money.

Skilled and friendly team, worth every penny.

We had a fantastic evening ballooning out of Ashton Court, Bristol. We had been waiting 2 years and 3 attempts to get favourable weather. It was worth the wait. Matt the pilot was excellent as were all his ground crew. Everything went very smoothly. I just want to do It again now. Highly recommend this experience.

Had an excellent balloon experience at Graythwaite Hall, in the Lake District. Pilot Ben Raven and his team were all excellent in making the experience a memorable one. We flew over Lake Windermere on a beautiful, sunny morning and the views were breathtaking. Had a gentle landing, and good fun with everyone helping out to 'pack the balloon away' at the end of the flight. Would highly recommend the experience.
