This was a fantastic gift! The entire experience was wonderful. After purchasing the vouchers, they arrived in a beautiful gift envelope, making it perfect for presenting. Our first booking was postponed due to the weather, but Virgin extended the validity of our voucher without any hassle, so there was no stress or pressure to rebook quickly. The balloon ride itself was perfect. We were fortunate to have a stunning day amidst a series of rainy ones. The flight took us right over the city, which was amazing, and we even flew over our house. Sadly it was too early for our teenagers to wave up at us, but it was still a lovely experience :-) Overall, it was the perfect gift and a wonderful experience.

Amazing experience! I was lucky enough to fly the fourth time trying and oh my God, what great of an experience was it. Our pilot, Mike was really knowledgeable and quite funny. He briefed us in, and then told us that that day there's going to be a press release for the balloon fiesta that day, which meant that another 10-15 balloons will be up in the air. This made our flight even more special! Going up, above Bristol, in the light of dawn and seeing the city from above with all those balloons was truly mesmerising. We had a steady landing, no issues and managed to not turn over. We helped pack up the balloon with the other three crew members. I can definitely recommend this experience to anybody and definitely can recommend Virgin balloon flights for your experience. This was a birthday gift for me, but it's a gift to give to anybody.

My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our Virgin balloon flight. We had a few cancellations due to weather, but the text service let us know when there were spaces on flights, and we finally got to go up last week. Mike and his team were very welcoming and explained everything that would happen. It was fascinating helping o get the balloon ready an seeing how it goes up. The flight itself was a fabulous experience, so peaceful and at the same time exhilarating, with far-reaching views. The bubbly at the end of the flight was very welcome, after we had helped to pack the balloon away. A great all round experience that I would thoroughly recommend.

My husband bought me this as a gift for Christmas 2022. I had 3 failed attempts to fly and was lucky on attempt 4. Weather was perfect Setting was also very good. We all helped to set up the balloon before a frantic attempt to get into the basket. We managed without too much drama and the assent began.within only a minute or 2 weeks were asked to stand and enjoy the view And boy what a view. The flight lasted around an hour,as expected. The landing was good,better than anticipated, and then we had to pay k it away.... Great experience.all in the balloon chatted to each other which was great as a few of us were flying solo... Would I do it again...he'll yeah

Excellent flight today, pilot was amazing, the ground team were on it and the flight was so smooth and definitely going to do it again. If you are thinking about doing it, you will not be disappointed.

Phenomenal experience. We had eight cancelled but when it happened was worth the wait. Can’t help the weather. Helping to set up with friendly team. Ben was a great entertainer, taking us up to 3,500 feet and brushing the tops of the trees, amazing control. Thank you for ticking a box for us. Highly recommended

The pilot and his team were extremely professional and friendly. The pilot’s knowledge and experience of flying was impressive and he answered many questions throughout the flight. The experience was so good, my husband and I would like to book a flight every year. The flight was peaceful, beautiful, and rejuvenating. We had a great sense of wellbeing whilst looking at the beautiful Welsh countryside and its incredible views. We highly recommend booking a flight with Virgin balloons.

Alex the pilot was very pleasant, clear instructions, and gave us a very smooth flight. The whole team were efficient and timing was prompt. I was aprehensive regarding the landing, but it was smooth and no bumps at all. Durham was our chosen starting point, but changed to Bishop Auckland due to weather conditions. This was a pity, but the views were still lovely.

What a perfect balloon ride! Weather was the best it could possibly be, was a great location, Peter, Tim and Keith were great, lots of laughter - not to mention a lovely glass of bubbles after we landed. The whole experience was perfect and I can’t wait to do it again 🤩

The day was perfect. Nobby and his team were so friendly and helpful. Nobby was a great pilot and was so knowledgeable about the area, geography and anything else that he was asked!!

Amazing experience. Getting up in the balloon over Bath and the surrounding countryside was breathtaking. Nobby, our pilot was great, very caring and considerate and also a professional, keeping our safety at heart. I personally enjoyed getting involved in the inflating and gathering the balloon at the end of the flight, it made me feel part of the team.

Very friendly pilot. Nobby explained everything very clearly. I had an amazing experience flying over Bath, such amazing views and a gentle landing followed by a cup of bubbly. We were blessed with perfect weather. Please can I go again ?

It has been an amazing experience. Peter and his colleagues made everything easy and clear. Everyone scared me about the landing, it was easy and safe. We didn’t have lots of wind and the flight was over in one hour. Only recommendation is to bring a hat, to cover your head from the burning heat of the balloon. We went high as 2400 feet, the most surprising thing was the quiet, I never heard such a silence. So nice and relaxing

It’s was a fantastic experience from start to finish we had Dave and flew over York, it was great how they get you to help put the blow up and down definitely recommend

The balloon ride, staff that managed it on the day, interaction and involvement with the setup and put-away was first class. We watched another hot air balloon company (Company not known) next to us and the Virgin team (Tom Hook was ours) were far superior. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was that it took 5 years to get in the balloon having booked it in 2019, due to covid then from 2021 onwards multiple cancellations down to UK inclement weather and other 'operational reasons', whatever the latter means. If you are looking to propose to your future wife/husband on the day or have other things that are date dependent be prepared to re-book multiple times, as our story/experience (we confirmed on the day) is far from unique. However when you finally get in that basket and take off the experience is outstanding!

What an amazing Balloon flight me and my Grandson had today. From start to finish. Amazing views. Would definitely recommend

We had Dom as our pilot. Having a World Champion on board was an honour. From the start of us helping out to put the balloon up. The 2 attempts that failed due to the velcro top. But the 3rd time lucky we were up. The views were stunning over Buxton, Dom was happy to answer questions but it was soooo peaceful. And I think taking 3tines for it to work meant we got stunning sunset views! Down safely & the right way up! Then deflating the balloon as a collective was fun. Then a cheeky glass of fizz & the end finished off a perfect day
