Had been waiting for my refund over 2 months now. Can’t wait any longer. They keep promising they will refund but that never happened. I don’t trust them anymore especially after reading all these bad reviews
I'm giving a big 0 to vayama. They won't respond to emails on time and they lied to me during the covid 19 period where they told me in March 25th that they had sent the cancellation request to swiss airline and when I talked to the airline in that was not the case.shame on them for even during these unprecedented times they are trying to take advantage of people

This company is worthless. When you book you don't get an immediate confirmation like other booking sites. It takes 12 hours to get a confirmation. Their process is antiquated. Then when you have a problem such as a cancelled flight, or a decision to cancel within 24 hours, they try to charge you change fees despite DOT guidelines which says you are entitled to a refund with no fees. You have to fight with them. I sent them links about DOT law to prove my point. Bad process, dishonest people. Book directly with the airline itself and save yourself a por of grief
I would like to give 0 to vayama. I paid the compensation fee for the cancellation and the airline cancelled my flight. I never got email response regarding to the cancellation refund from vayama, except the formal automatic message response. So I had to request the dispute to my card company and finally got refund but not the booking fee and any compensation.
My flight was scheduled 4/15/2020 and was canceled by the airline 4/13/2020. The airline contacted me and issued a refund to Vayama. Vayama contact phone is not manned and they do not respond to emails. I have submitted multiple requests with no response. Vayama has my money and will not return it.
This would be a BIG 0 stars if it could be. I have also had the exact same problems with Vayama regarding refund due to COVID. I did dispute it with my credit card. As a result Travix (parent company in the Netherlands) sent a response (form letter) to my credit card company indicating there was not a refund issued from Turkish Airlines (which I have an email indicating the refund was made in their end. He indicated there was a voucher and listed the number. It’s a voucher that was never seen by more or communicated to me. It ALSO DOES NOT SAY WHO ISSUED. Was it Vayama or the airlines or Travix? No one knows and there is no way of using a voucher as a part of payment for any of the three companies. My credit card canceled the dispute so now I have it back on my CC. I have a “unknown voucher” for no set dollar amount to be used NOWHERE ! Been waiting since March 14 th.
Vayama is a scam! We requested for cancellation because we are NOT flying anymore due to covid19! No emails or updates at all!! Never book on this website! Emirates cannot help us because we booked with vayama!! Rating is zero! Return our money! It's May 20 now and our flight is coming on June 4. So what do they expect us to do???!!!
On April 5th, 2020, I received an email from Vayama notifying me that Aeroflot had cancelled my r/t flight from Los Angeles to Moscow. Since this was an involuntary cancellation and Aeroflot had suspended all flights from LAX, I was due a refund. Vayama instructed me to do nothing and not to contact them as they would be the ones initiating the refund request. However, 1 month later, I still had not received my refund so I sent Vayama an email asking why. Immediately, I received the same impersonal automated reply telling me to do nothing and that it may be weeks before I received a refund. The Department of Transportation rules for all airlines flying in or out of the United States in regards to tickets purchased by credit card, is very clear and that all travel agencies or airline ticket agents must refund the full amount of the ticket price, including any associated add-on fees within 7 days. Since the COVID-19 Pandemic, the DOP has publicly further clarified that those rules are still in effect and that neither the airline nor the travel agent may modify this. I spoke with Aeroflot's main office in Moscow who told me that Vayama must initiate the refund request since my purchase was done through Vayama. They also gave me a direct contact to an Aeroflot rep in Los Angeles who told me they have no record of Vayama ever initiating that refund request. Therefore she was unable to process my refund and could only offer me a travel certificate good for future travel on Aeroflot which I declined. She encouraged me to contact Vayama again to request my refund. The Aeroflot rep also told me that is a very simple process on the part of Vayama and that it only takes a few seconds to make the request. To date, I have not received a response from Vayama nor has my credit card been debited with the refund. Due to the circumstances arising from the pandemic, I have been patient and understanding but 6 weeks and counting is a lot more than 1 week. I am very disappointed at Vayama's lack of service to me especially since I even purchased their optional "service" package.
I booked flight for June in Jan with transit. One of the transit flight was canceled by THE AIRLINE itself so I can't even go if I want to and with restrictions in a lot countries, I decided to cancel. I just needed the refund as the airline can't provide the service any longer. Email 2 times with phone number provided. Second time added the note to call back for confirmation. Received automatic response via email and no customer rep call back. Sounds like a company you want to do business with??? Avoid this kind of company where they don't care about letting you the status of your inquiry.
I booked with vayama for a trip to bali via Singapore airlines late in 2019. When things started getting cancelled due to covid19 and reading all the reviews for vayama via social media I was scared I wasn't going to get my money back. My flight was for April 4th and was cancelled by the airline, so I sent an email requesting the refund and I'd be happy to book again in the future on March 31st with all my booking information, I received a response on April 1 that the refund process had begun. My refund finally came through a month later on the first week of May. I hope this helps put some people at ease in getting refunded.
Please do not use vayama for booking your flights. Customer service is zero. Since March have been trying to reach them view email to no avail . Concerning my flight that was cancelled due to COVID19. They would not respond to emails.
I have had the same extremely frustrating experiences with Vayama as most of you. As of now, if I could give a 0 rating, I would. However, in the interests of helping out the community, I will say that I took Victor's advice and wrote a detailed and emphatic e-mail to the 3 executives whose e-mail addresses were listed in his post. Within an hour, I received a phone call from a Vayama rep in their Amsterdam office with an apology and a promise that I would receive a refund as soon as they received it from the airline. (I checked directly with the airline, and confirmed that no refund had yet been processed.) Obviously, we'll see whether Vayama honors this commitment (if so, their rating could increase!), but sending the e-mail at least got me the chance to talk in person to am actual person, obtain information, and get some promises from Vayama personnel that, if they end up bailing, I can try to enforce later either with Kayak, my credit card company or in court. On Jan. 2 I booked a family trip to Japan through Kayak.com. Then Covid-19 happened and I called Vayama to cancel my flights on March 11. I was assured that I would receive a refund within 30-45 days. When no refund arrived, I called Vayama on May 6 to inquire and was told that the refund had been processed. After checking with my credit card, a refund was NOT issued. I called right back and was assured that the refund would be issued by the end of the week. I checked my credit card today and STILL NO REFUND. So today I called and waited for a long time. When I finally get through to an agent, after I gave my booking number, THEY HUNG UP ON ME! Next phone call is to my credit card. Hopefully they'll be able to refund over $3K of money wasted on Vayama.

I bought tickets to travel in April. Fly was canceled. Air Canada told me I have to go through them to get my money back. I have e-mailed several times no response. I Phoned them, they are not taking calls.
Me and my friends brought the tickets from Bankgkok to Korea. But due to the covid 19 the flight was canceled. I have contact the VAYAMA Including the email from the airport line. They agree yo refund our money back . This happened in March 2020 till now we still no received our refund. Plus they not responded our email. Please everyone, don’t Buy any ticket from them. Sincerely.

They are not a reputable company, they are not regulated. I am surprised they have not closed down. They should not be allowed to trade in the western market. I don’t understand why these companies are not regulated
Worst customer service ever. Stay away from them as much as possible. Booked a ticket through them (Turkish aiways) and the ticket got cancelled by the airline due to covid 19 travel bans. It's been 2 months now since the cancellation date and I am still waiting my refund. Spoke with turkish airlines and they have already processed my return to vayama (a month ago). But all I got from vayama were some useless junk copy paste email 'dont contact us we will refund your amount but it can take months' Of note: This is my 2nd experience with Vayama, first one was a disaster too, it has indian people's in their CS and 99 percent of them are highly unprofessional. Would never buy tickets from vayama again ever.
