Purchased an electric Snow Joe ...used it twice and the chute fell off. Snow joe would not help with replacing this item. I urge you not to buy this item. It is poorly made and will not hold up. Save your money..or buy a shovel ..

We purchased our SnowJoe electric (corded) snowblower 3 yrs. ago, and we’ve been very pleased with it. The snowblower does an amazing job moving the wall of crud that the plow leaves at the top of the driveway. Because of changing climate patterns, this unit did NOT see a lot of use during the past 3 Midwest winters. If snowfall is minimal and not wet and heavy, it really is easier to push it off the driveway with a shovel rather than manage an extension cord up the driveway. A couple of weeks ago we cranked it up for the 1st time this winter. It did 3 passes up the driveway and then the motor just petered out and would not restart. When we purchased it we opted for a 2 yr. extended warranty, and fortunately that came into play. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with SnowJoe’s Customer Service Dept. In explaining our situation to Crislyn Amimince she was polite, she listened, and kept us promptly informed via email as our paperwork (scanned copies of original invoice and extended warranty purchase) was reviewed for warranty coverage. Within a couple of days, the result was that a brand new unit would be shipped to us. When I inquired about having the broken one serviced, we were dismayed to find out that there is no ability to repair these units, and no part numbers are available or referenced in the owner’s manual. BASICALLY, WHEN THESE STOP WORKING THEY BECOME LANDFILL ITEMS. That is very disappointing to us and we feel that is an unacceptable stance for a major company to take in today’s “save the planet” culture. For that reason alone, we probably would not purchase another SnowJoe item, preferring to opt for a brand that offers repairs to be done if needed. SnowJoe shows a lot of concern for customer safety as you ready the defective unit for disposal, but honestly we would have been happier to have the unit repaired (since it saw minimal usage) and put back into service. Today the new unit was delivered and we still have more winter weather ahead of us. Our fingers are crossed that we will get a LOT of usage from this replacement snowblower, and will not soon add another piece of garbage to a landfill. Again, the customer service we received was beyond excellent!

Winnie Apohan was very professional, polite and patient with my frustration about the pressure washer situation. She handled everything very well and got the matter resolved.

Bought Snow Joe Snow Blower 5 years ago and enjoyed using for perhaps 20-25 hours. It was a large 80 Volt 2 stage blower and worked well until the auger stopped working in the last small snowfall. The Snow Blower operates forward and backward, the lights work, and the chute turns. When I depress the Auger Trigger, the Auger Motor does not turn the pully belt. The Auger shear bolts are good. When I removed the motor cover, and pulled on the pulley belt, the Auger moves. Everything points to the auger motor. Christine Reamillo answered my email and it was obvious that she was going to be useless. Gave me a ticket number but didn’t follow up. Who repairs and where could I get a new motor if that is what it needs? My followup phone calls were eventually answered and they suggested buying a new blower.

Love the Snow Joe product line, especially this snowy winter. Had a technical issue which a company representative named Alex did respond to. It was hugely appreciated and left me pleased with my purchase and trust in the brand.

Planed Obscelences I purchased a ion 100 V 24sb snowblower 4 years ago and the required battery is no longer made. I want to share my letter to the CEO of Snow, Joseph Cohen which was sent one week ago and I have not yet received a reply. I tried to resolve my problem with customer service to no avail. I cannot believe that a snowblower purchased 4 years ago is already discontinued and the batteries required to operate it are no longer available. The call centre has no authority to solve problems and apparently calls cannot be transferred to a supervisor. Dear Mr. Cohen, I'm writing to express my extreme frustration with the repeated problems I've had with my Snow Joe snowblower model ION100V-24SB, and the lack of support I've received from your company. I was told by your customer service team that the model ION100V-24SB is discontinued and the batteries specific to this model are no longer available. I did not even get 4 years of use from this unit. I must start by complimenting the customer service agents i have contacted. They were very friendly and sympathetic to my issues. Unfortunately they are not empowered to provide a solution. I bought a Snow Joe ION100V-24SB snowblower from Rona in St. Jerome, Quebec in February of 2021. Invoice attached. Unfortunately in winter 2022 the auger pins broke. Customer service told me the replacement parts were backordered. After several email exchanges the solution offered was to send me a replacement snowblower which solved the problem until the following year. Order # ORD0000xxxxxxx. Winter 2023 the auger pin snapped again. I signed up for an alert on your website when the part is back in stock. I checked your website in addition to waiting for the product alert and still no replacement part available yet. This time I was offered a credit for the value I paid for my snowblower if I purchased new one. This solution was completely unacceptable to me and I have been using cotter pins instead of the auger pins which break much more frequently but at least I could use my snowblower. Winter 2023 I had a problem with the chute assembly. The cables were jammed and the chute stuck. I called customer service and was told this part is not available and the suggestion was to purchase a new unit. This brings us to this week, one of the batteries failed. I spoke to customer service yesterday and I'm told that Snow Joe no longer supports this model or carries replacement batteries and was told that the only solution was that I need to buy a new snowblower. I asked to speak to a supervisor as i knew that my issue would require intervention from a higher up. I was told that the call agents have no way to transfer a call and they could only request a callback. I've contacted the Quebec Consumer Protection Office to understand my rights. They informed me that under Article 39 of the Consumer Protection Act, your company is obligated to provide support for this product for a reasonable period of time. I cannot be expected to go out and replace this snow blower while the current model is close to $2,000. simply because you no longer have parts. Replacement parts should be readily available. I hope you can help me find a resolution to my problem.

Snow Joe 24V X2 SB22 - Brushless Cordless Single-Stage Snow Blower Purchased this product, and it's easily the most poorly designed and poorly performing piece of equipment that I've ever purchased. It dies every 15 seconds, the batteries don't charge and unseat themselves when you're blowing snow, the power in anything other than 2" of fluffy snow is lacking, and the upper handle bent after the second use...and the company can't send a replacement part.

When I first bought the unit it was great, it could throw snow like crazy. However the batteries didn’t last, so before the second season I bought a second set of batteries at almost the same cost as the whole unit. Season 2 came and one of the original batteries wouldn’t take a charge, they did eventually replace it after the season was over, so season 2 went with 1 set of operational batteries. Season 3 this past summer I went to maintain the batteries, 5 of the 8 batteries are bad. Finally after months they sent me 2 batteries so I could at least have 1 working set, both were bad. They will not replace the batteries, they say they will give me a refund, I just have to tear apart the snow blower and send them pictures and return the batteries…I have repeatedly asked for a shipping label to return the batteries and they keep sending me the same form letter saying I need to confirm my shipping address. I do and it is in the email chain at least 8 times. Then nothing happens until I AGAIN request a shipping label, and I get the form letter again.

STAY AWAY from this dishonest seller! I purchased a shovel online and they are playing games by refusing to refund a partially delivered item. They sent the shovel but NOT the lithium battery and battery charger which was part of the PAID order. They are trying to avoid sending the full order AND refusing to refund. Needless to say, I am in the process of reporting them to The Department of Consumer Protection as well as having submitted a credit card dispute. DISHONEST and DISRESPECTFUL toward customers. Avoid this scam seller AT ALL COSTS!

I was given a snowblower for a Christmas gift, thankfully we have not had major snowfall that we have had to use it since received as a gift. Unfortunately, the time I needed to use it, the batteries did not work. I had to provide numerous videos proving the batteries do not work. We were sent new charging ports instead of batteries, still again the batteries would not charge and do not work. The batteries were then finally replaced, but again did not work. Again, they did not work. We were once again forced to provide numerous videos proving they do not work. After proving they don't work, we then needed to provide proof that we discarded the batteries. Again, batteries were replaced, and shockingly, the new ones DID NOT WORK. When I contacted customer service again about this ongoing issue I was met with "please provide proof you discarded the batteries" so I did, now I am being told that I did not provide the proof. I was also informed that they no longer have any batteries in stock. This has been going on for over a month. I would not trust this company, nor would I recommend them to anyone. Stay away from this company because you will continue to get replacements of nonworking items and have to provide so many different things in order to even receive a replacement and/or a refund.

I purchased the Snow Joe shovel. I have only used it twice. The first time 2" of snow, the second time 8". It works great! I love it! Powerful little machine, easy to handle. I am 77yrs old and have no trouble using it. I just read a lot of reviews and it sounds like their customer service is not the best. I just called to let them know how much I love their product and got a woman from the Philippines who could not understand one word I was saying to her. Her English was so bad I couldn't hardly understand her. After me telling her I was very happy with the product she asked me what was the problem with my snow shovel!I told her that they need to hire people who can speak and understand English, I then just hung up the phone.

I purchased a shovel and used it only a few times and I called today to inquire about a replacement and was turned down. I would not trust a company who does not stand behind their products and assist customers.

Does not follow their Return policy. Purchased an extension wand for my power washer that did not fit in August 2024 using PayPal. I was promised a refund that has yet to be provided. Zero support from Shop Joe except multiple requests for documentation all of which I’ve submitted. I will not purchase another item from this company again. The worst experience I’ve ever had. I opened a dispute with PayPal. First shop Joe said “we can’t help you until you close the PayPal dispute” I closed the PayPal dispute and now Shoo shoe is saying we can’t help you “”Open a Case with PayPal” In my opinion this is a perfect example of not caring about customer satisfaction. I prefer to do business with businesses that stand up for customers and stand by their return policies.

This is a difficult review to write. I’ve been a snow joe customer for years. I have over 1/2 a dozen of their products. While the product so far have been fantastic, the company is going to hell. I spent over $243.00 on an updated cordless shovel. I’ve had the 11 inch for years and it’s always been great, I wanted the 12 inch but for a very long time it wasn’t available. So when I got a notification that it was available, and they had a deal for it with a battery, charger, cover and an ice scraper, I immediately ordered. Well that’s when it all went to hell. Snow joe shipped my order to the wrong address. So I filed a claim with UPS. UPS found my order and sent it back to snow joe. After contacting snow joe to let them know, snow joe informed me that a replacement order was unavailable because it’s now out of stock. So instead of doing the right thing and finding me another one, or giving me a different model at the same price, they are refunding my money, and as a consolation they are giving me 15% off a future purchase. I don’t need a discount, I want what I originally purchased. They seem to just no longer care about customer satisfaction, so in the meantime I’ll look into a different brand, or maybe get lucky or snow joe will get more inventory. So be careful when ordering from snow joe, if they screw up they will not make it right.
