I ordered my extended hedge cutter about 12 midday and there it was delivered next day before the afternoon was over. Excellent service. This is my first Mitox bought new, I have got a brushcutter/strimmer which was secondhand and it was that machine that gave me confidence to get one new.

A piece broke on my multi-tool hedge trimmer, but it was replaced incredibly quickly, arriving the day after I sent all the details requested, with no quibbles. Great service and really reassuring that the warranty was honoured without any stress.

B3C really does work!! Revived a dead chainsaw like magic. Will use it in all my petrol machinery from now on.

Mitox 28LH Hedgetrimmer I purchased this machine 2 years ago for my Garden Maintenance business so I thought it might be useful to write a review. Assembly was straightforward using the excellent Operators manual. The engine started without a problem so long as you follow the starting instructions especially the cold engine operation. I love the cutting head angle adjustment which is one handed unlike other machines I have previously owned. One niggle is the on/off rocker switch which is too close to the throttle lever meaning I quite often accidently turn the machine off. This is very frustrating especially if I am on the step ladder. A slide on/off switch would solve this problem. Overall the machine has been a pleasure to use over the 2 years and I have had no problem in recommending the product.

Delivery was prompt and efficient. Haven’t yet used the new strummer, but it was to replace another smaller model of the same make and we were happy with that.

I've been reading the reviews out of interest. many show a persistent issue with engines dying and refusing to rev. I will say that this is unlikely to be a problem with the machine, but due to modern fuel and occurs with all makes of machines. It is essential to use fuel stabilisers to avoid this. I add I am a machinery dealer, but I have had a 331SSMT multi tool for 7 years myself which has proved an excellent machine. Yes I look after it, but its also done some heavy work more than it is really designed for with no problems.

Excellent piece of kit. It replaces my trusty Zomax which gave up after 12 years but is no longer sold. The Mitox is even better made, started first time and looks as though it will keep me going for at least another 12 years

Easy to order online and fantastically speedy delivery. (Faster than a very large online marketplace!)

Bought a mitox 281 mt from a local dealer and after a few uses it would run for 20 minutes then die. I took it back to the local dealer as it was still under warranty several times but they couldn’t solve the problem, they said they couldn’t find an issue with it, they even said they changed the carburettor (which I very much doubt) and still the same issue. I now have to adjust the air screw regularly through use to keep it going which is difficult do with the harness attached as you need to locate the mixture screw by touch while trying to balance the machine, the dealer even gave me the tool to do it! Although this fault has been present since new I doubt mitox will do anything as it’s now out of warranty.

I have had a 28MT multitool select for about 5 years - here is my experience: 1. the impeller rods linking the engine to the work head are prone to uncoupling (and the internal rubber sleeves become loose) making swapping over the tool heads very difficult - this first happened during my second week of ownership - Mitox support told me to make a 40 mile round trip to an authorised repair shop for a repair or to try to fix it myself (and invalidate the warranty!) 2. The pull cord mechanism inside the engine broke - another trip to the authorised repair shop - fixed under the 2 year warranty. 3. The hedge cutter gear closure fell apart while I was using it - then the gears in the cutter started to jam and eventually bent and self-destructed (you can see an example of this on youtube) - I asked Mitox support for replacement parts but they said I had to buy an new cutter (these aren't cheap - £129) - the new cutter impeller spline didn't fit the old model - I had to cannibalise the old broken head to fix this. 4. The fuel pipes and tank gasket have been replaced perhaps four times (this is actually not so unusual for petrol tools - they are regular service items). 5. Many of the hex nuts on the unit have fallen off and had to be replaced 6. the chain saw pruner has proved to be excellent - keep the chain sharp and it will go though branches like butter. All in all, it has spent about as much time on my workbench as it has in use. The engine seems robust but the rest of the tool suffers from poor design and construction.

This is a new company to me, but l called because l obtained a 2nd hand chainsaw, & wanted to get as much information about it that l could & to find if parts were still available. Because l was impressed with the service, I decided to buy a good quality brush cutter. As l ordered it before 3pm, l had it delivered mid morning the following day, & found everything in excellent condition. Hopefully l will be using Mitox more in the future Andy Reed

Would avoid! Bought a brand new 550 UX Brushcutter, used it for roughly 6 hours and the petrol tank has developed holes in it, not even on the outside casing, right on the inside next to the shaft, no way anything could’ve pierced it! Obviously cheap plastic. Not fit for purpose.

Have a Mitox hedge trimmer, since I bought it I only ever get 4-5 minutes running. Then won't restart for a couple of hours

Sir I bought a mitox blower /vac two years ago . For a short time it was working fine then it would not rev, started ok took it to my local main dealer, small bill no change to the machine. My friend next door bought a strimmer and a blower. the strimmer was great but he also had problems with the blower which were not resolved. strimmer 4stars blower/vac1 (just for starting) do not buy , save your money
