Finding the right home was difficult for us - a complicated situation. But it’s difficult for everyone in different ways. Lottie gave us the advice we needed about care homes - something we knew nothing about. The people behind the website are friendly and want to help. They listened carefully and responded in a way that was individual to us. Throughout the process of choosing, arranging and settling our mum in to her new home Lottie was there ready to answer our questions as caring experts. I fully recommend Lottie.

Amazing for all impartial information that is vitally needed when you are being bounced between GPs and social workers, hoping someone will tell you what to do but none of whom seem to listen to your elderly parents needs. A real hand holder at a stressful time. I contacted various homes and viewed them thanks to this site and we selected the best one for my father. Information on CHC is useful and I’ve promoted mum to ask for this. There’s nobody to give the advice you need - everything is left to your own decisions which need to be sensible, rational and for the good of everyone involved at a time when you may be confused with so many emotions. Our family have two elderly parents at different stages of dementia and care needs. We found ourselves with a double challenge of a suitable respite home for our father and then suddenly our mother had to move from residential to nursing home. Hannah at lottie.org supported us through this difficult journey.
