Engineer booked for Gas and electrical safety certificate plus EPC. Was told One engineer would be able to cover all three. Engineer called me at 11am ish saying he couldn't find the property. I described where it was. Called me again, same thing, this time he told me my postcode was wrong! erm my postcode is right. Maybe you can not find the address! Eventually found him rather than him finding my property. He told me again my postcode was wrong. I told him maybe the device he searched for it was wrong or that he just couldn't find the address as everything was correct. He then told me he was only here to do the electrical side of the work. I rang the company, they said someone else would do the gas side of things in the 8-1pm slot. The electrics guy was ready to enter my property but had no facemask. I had to provide him with one. He then lost his phone in my property and I had to call his number so he could find it. He asked me how urgent it was for me to receive the EPC certificate. I asked him why, as that seemed an odd question. He said his DBS (Disclosure barring Service) side of things had an issue and that it had lapsed and that he had to resubmit it in order for him to be able to produce the EPC cert! I couldn't believe it. After finishing and leaving he left his car keys and notebook in the property. Had to go and find him to tell him! No Gas engineer arrived before 1pm and I need to leave the property now. Absolutely rubbish service. I'm not going to say do not use, but I will say use with caution. A lot of caution. I expect a refund in full and have written to them to say so. Additional: spoke to them on the phone this afternoon (I called them, rather than them calling me)....'I'm not your slave' and 'Listen my friend'...were just two of the things the customer service agent said to me in the phone call. The Customer service chap also tried to justify the engineer who had said the postcode was incorrect! Wow! Check your records first and tell me if the postcode is incorrect! -From both the invoice you sent me and the work docket email they both contain the SAME postcode! Which is the same one your engineer had!...it is correct!!!!!!!!! ----------------------------------------------- Additional: In response to your reply: No – You did not ‘we assured you that we will try our best to send one engineer round…’ When I spoke to you before I booked it you told me that one engineer would do all three. That is not the same as ‘we assured you that we will try our best to send one engineer round…’ Yes. I assisted the engineer to locate the property with no complaint. Not an issue. My issue is being told by your engineer that ‘Your post code must be wrong’. He said that twice. Yet it is the same postcode in BOTH emails YOU sent me prior to today AND the same postcode I gave you. So it is obviously NOT an incorrect postcode. Perhaps you could just not try to point the finger and divert the blame and just accept it was a mistake on your part. It was a simple mistake on your part, but trying to blame the customer for it is both immature and unnecessary. Yes no special request was made prior re face mask. But, every other tradesperson (or guest or just person) who has entered the property has always asked if I would like them to put a facemask on before (the answer being yes) and produced on themselves. Not too much too ask is it? ‘Shouting’……Your customer service agent did not let me even half finish my sentences! My raised voice was to stop him rudely interrupting me. Please treat people the way you would be expected to be treated yourself. You talk about respect….your customer service agent did not earn it by constantly talking over me, not even acknowledging what I had said or the points I was trying to make (I mean, you have kindly acknowledged them here, so why was your customer service agent so belligerent and obstructive? I did not shout at him at all. Sorry but this is deflection on your part. Your CS agent referred to me as 'my friend' in a hostile tone and said to me 'I am not your slave' in a vitriolic manner and inappropriately. I played his game and did the same as him by cutting him off and lo and behold....he didn't like it! So, in the same way you mention politeness and respect, perhaps you can agree that this comes from within at your end from the very beginning? This review is not about the refund at all and please accept that you have put words in my mouth there by stating such an untruth. I note you completely disregard the point made about your engineers DBS check/status. He himself said that he can not submit the EPC info until it clears. How then, can you send one of your team to a job when they don’t have the ability to submit the legally required info?

Aweful. They subcontracted the job. Charged more than double what they quoted and then engineer didnt even finish the job. Then took days to give me the certificate which had mistakes and then more days to edit. Absolute waste of time and money and should be reported

Service was very good - easy to book and able to change the date. The technician was professional and respectful. Certificates arrived very quickly. Would recommend.

This company are simply AWFUL and should be avoided at all costs. They were incredibly unprofessional at every stage, untrustworthy, disgustingly rude and ultimately unsafe. (and if they are saying that there was subcontracting then this wasn't clear at all and they are clearly linked, my phone and email contact have both been through this company. Do not trust them at all)

Keep well away from these fraudulent crooks, their level of English standard is extremely poor and desperately require English language lessons. Their behaviour is completely unacceptable and have a habit of throwing cheap threats, the certificates are fraudulent and they do not vet their engineers whether they are gas safe registered or NIC EIC registered, please do not take my comment as only critic but back it up with the horrendous 1 star reviews left by other users!

When trying to contract a company for hire, I would normally go to the 3 and 4 reviews, but certainly the 1's really count here. This company is so terrible and disorganised. I had 4 visits, one where the engineer didnt even bring a can of smoke to test the smoke alarms (basic requirement), the second that didnt know what he alwas doing and also no one turned up. IT TOOK 2 MONTHS TO GET MY CERTIFICATE There was a load of things wrong in the certificate. Just to note that this was the worse experience.

When changing my home into a rental property, I ordered an EICR and LSC issued a pass, things went smoothly. But then two different electricians doing other work noticed issues and suggested the EICR should fail. When I raised this with LSC and requested a refund for the EICR, Emir was unprofessional on the phone, threatening to report me to the council for letting an unsafe property (well, it has never been let, and LSC are the ones who fail to properly run EICR tests, so go ahead...) In the end they refused a refund and only were only willing to send their "senior electrician" to do a second visit for free, but I don't trust them now and just paid for a second EICR by another company which confirmed that they did indeed miss 2 "urgent remedial items". To LSC, I suggest only using "senior electricians" to do your EICR. To potential customers, unless you know enough to be able to vet the person doing the EICR, I suggest you look elsewhere. To confirm this is the same LSC, I booked via www-landlordsafetycertificate-co-uk (replace - with .)

Do not TRUST this company. We paid for this company to conduct a EICR at our property that they failed due to a damage socket. The section in the EICR report where you put photos of any recommendations were blank and when I called the engineer they didnt have any photos to show me, meaning they completed the report incorrectly. I called my tenant who took a photo of the socket (by the fridge) which was in perfect condition. When I called the engineer again and sent the photo the reply was its damaged from the insider (conveniently). Unless I paid 190 pounds for the replacement of the socket they would not issue a certificate and the general cost of a socket is 40-50 pounds and it could've been replaced at the same time of the test. This company will suck you in and create issues and leverage from them. I have used this company for years and have always been very satisfied with their service and engineers, With only one exception. I requested that this particular engineer to be never sent again and they’ve honoured that. Special mention about Darren, the engineer. Very knowledgable and efficient. Gave me some good tips to ensure boiler and carbon monoxide units work at their best.

R Squire 25 April 2021, 13:40

I would be very wary of this company. Online they are promoting themselves using several different addresses, some of which have an address with a postcode that does not match. Eg: Ilford is most certainly NOT in EC1N. Furthermore, there are several positive reviews on here that are clearly fake and appear to have been added by friends, family, or the company themselves, to try to balance out the negative reviews, which are scathing and detail some highly concerning and unprofessional practices. The poor grammar and sentence structure of the responses from the company suggest that a new customer service manager is needed with some urgency and supports the many comments from clients that levels of customer service is very poor. The website contact form does not work, and the 'Meet the team' photos do not display - what are they trying to hide? All-in-all, as one of the other reviewers says, this points to a "bunch of cowboys" who simply farm out the work to sub-contractors, take payment, then have a random approach regarding whether or not to issue the required certification.

image
ayseand suley 08 April 2021, 16:16

Stay clear of these cowboys! They do not understand customer service and are non responsive and keep you waiting months. I booked and paid in January 2021 for two EICRs. They have been useless and keep making mistakes and are unwilling to resolve issues. I will now be escalating my complaint.

I Own multiple properties in 4 different countries and was not expecting an answer from the customer service in the middle of the night, but Landlord Safety Certificate did it. I am extremely impressed with their professional service and efficient communication and effective systems, not to mention their competitive price and valuable service. They beat all others on Quality, Price and Timing. and on top of that friendly approach but professional at the same time. I was also surprised how cautious and comforting their engineer was as he carried out his inspection whilst respecting all safety precautions during the pandemic and lock down period. Sorry for going on , but this company deserves all the stars

JC 02 February 2021, 19:06

Called to get a quote and the gentleman was incredibly helpful and organised my gas safe certificate and boiler service for a time that suited me with no problems at all. The engineer turned up and called ahead to notify me of his timing so I didn’t have to wait around and he was incredibly professional and efficient. The turnaround time from booking to the visit to getting the report was quick and seamless and not to mention a great price. Really pleased to have found this company and will certainly be using them again - they genuinely have made a big impression and a great company if you’re becoming a landlord!
