Lovely guy called to the door offered me unlimited useage for €79 a month for 1 year I agreed signed up then 2 days later get an email saying it will be €99 a month which is way more than what I pay now found them extremely unhelpful over the phone wanted me to find information they already had and were asking for photographic evidence of the quote I just cancelled it there and then if this is what it's like at the start I hate to see what it will be like in the months to come

As others have detailed in their reviews, my bills with Just Energy have skyrocketed due to an expired contract. The total for the last three months was $622 and I live in a one bedroom apartment and I keep the temperature at 70 degrees. According to the Public Utility Commission of Texas website, "retail electric providers are required to notify residential customers at least 30 days before a contract expires". I was told by their costumer service representative, that Just Energy no longer sends out formal notification letters 30 days prior to expiration, instead they include the expiration date on the monthly bill, which is in a very obscure location in fine print. This practice is not an adequate attempt to notify customers that their contract is going to expire. It would appear that Just Energy is employing this faulty loophole to increase the likelihood that consumers will not notice or become aware of their pending expiration date, allowing the company to falsely justify charging the monthly variable rate. I have called and attempted to reach a solution with Just Energy multiple times over the course of a month, every time I am told that they are investigating the situation and that a manager will call me back but I have not been able to reach anyone or receive an answer. Their customer service representatives are unwilling to offer the previous fixed rate from our initial contract, forcing me to either continue paying their extremely high rate, or seek out a contract with another company while rates are at their highest due to summer temperatures. It is very burdensome to find time in my schedule each week and attempt to resolve the situation over the phone for over an hour, only to be told that someone will call me back. Just Energy must know this and it would seem that their customer service practices make the process intentionally difficult so that consumers will grow weary and give up on reimbursement.

Terrible service, unreachable customer service and rates more than double what I would be paying with Manitoba Hydro. What a scam. And locked in for a 5 year term. AVOID like the plague.

STAY AWAY! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!! I called and spoke to Alisha and requested that my contract which was to start on 09/01/2018 because I found out that the Just Energy rates were significantly higher than I was paying with my local energy company. Alisha assured me that my cancellation was effective as of 08/30/2018 which is BEFORE my service was to start with them on 09/01/2018. She also said that she sent notice of my cancellation to my local energy company. As of today’s date, 09/08/2018 my Just Enegy account has NOT been cancelled. Just Energy is showing on my new energy bill and NO notification has been sent to my local energy company. I tried to call Just Energy and they are closed!! My natural gas rate with my local company is $2.19. Just Energy is charging me $5.42!!!! The highest I have ever paid with my local energy company is $3.32. Just Energy is a scam!!!! RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! I am requesting that someone from Just Energy call contact me ASAP to resolve this issue. I am contacting the Michigan Public Service Commission regarding this matter as well.

A sales rep just knocked on our door. He tried to tell me that he checked our meter and we're being over charged. There's no way you can tell that from a meter. Then he said they're cheaper than anyone else around at $0.80/therm, which is nearly double their competitors. When I called him out on that, he said I was an idiot and didn't know what I was talking about. Stay away from this company, obviously nothing but scammers!

This company has the absolute worst service mindset that I've ever encountered in an energy company. I've only had service with them for less than 3 months and have already had billing errors, haven't received my bill and then been assessed a late fee and disconnection notice immediately after, and have sent emails and gotten automated responses saying that I will get a response in 2 days and then not even get a response until 3 weeks later...with a canned, unhelpful response. Note: I have a near perfect credit score and pay all of my bills on time so I'm not just someone complaining because I don't want to pay my bills and then leave a bad review. This company does not have their customers' best interest at heart and they sound like corporate drones, reciting policy from a computer screen and not taking into consideration what's actually going on in real life. I will be switching companies today.

I’ve been a loyal customer for over 4 years, the first 3 without a contract and I was very satisfied with the low prices. About a year ago I signed up for a year contract and when it expired I was gonna stay without any contract because of my previous good experience and trying to move out from my apartment. That’s when I got a slap in the face with a high bill! When I called I had to learn that they started to charge me c21/kw without notifying me about the price change! I was expecting to pay more, but not this much! Their best offer to stay was almost c14 after paying 9.8! I switched immediately and never will go back nor reccomend just energy to anyone. A store sales person offered c12/kw when I asked for non contract price... It’s a shame how badly they treat their loyal customers!

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE. DO NOT SWITCH TO THEM. Sales Agent from Just Energy called to our house in March 2018. Offered a good deal in comparison to what we had with Bord Gais. I was told that we could put our bill in credit by paying through Internet banking. Website advised to set up the IBAN and our account number as the reference when paying. Switching over process was simple. All ran smoothly .. I transferred 40e to the account in April. They eventually applied this credit to the bill in July. That was after sending 3 emails. Bill went out by direct debit in July. I've since transferred 80e on to the bill to put it in credit that was done in July and its now almost end of August and the money is not showing up as credit on the bill at all. I've emailed them 3 times and have NOT got one email back. I will be paying this bill with them and cancelling the account straight away. They're about as useful now as an ashtray in a Honda 50. When ye read this dont even bother replying to the comment. Just reply to the 3 emails i've sent asking for the money to be applied to my bill and the account closed as requested. If this company offer you a 'good deal' go back to your current provider, tell them what this shower of cowboys offered and they'll probably match it.. Its what Bord Gais did for us anyway. And thats why we've returned to them. If they EVER call to our house again they'll be ran from the door.

The company exhibits a continuing pattern of horrendous customer service. On May 15th, 2018, I contacted the company to change my natural gas service address from a Dallas, Ga to Acworth, Ga. I was informed it would be easy and taken care of simply. My service started at my new address on the 26th of May. I continued monthly payment as I have always done for the past 2.5 years I've used the company as a service provider. On August 2nd, 2018, there was a notice left on my front door at the new address saying my gas had been disconnected. I contacted the Just Energy. They admitted something went wrong in the billing but stated I might have to pay a reconnect fee. Absolutely ridiculous. Eventually, after quite some time on the phone, the fee was waived. My family went two days without hot water. I had to take off a day from work to wait for re-connection. And please keep in mind, this was after I had been paying month after month, on time, every time. Everything seemed fine. Today, I received another notice that my gas would be shut off. I called the company. No resolution. Asked for a manager. No resolution. They are now stating that even though they can see payments made, and I confirmed the last 3 months with them, there is still an outstanding balance of $175 that I absolutely do not owe. They state that the payments have been credited to the old address, at which I no longer live, and that I will need to pay for both addresses. Third call! They see the issue, they see where they made a mistake, and yet they refuse to correct it! I've lost money, I've lost time, and still, they are asking I provide more proof payment was made, even after they say they can see the payments! Whether through ignorance or a willful desire to collect more than they are owed, Just Energy has proven to be one of the worst companies I've ever had the displeasure of utilizing.

Very poor customer service team who make the customer nearly do all the running around to get stuff sorted . Had to ring ESB myself to get metre changed . Them they could not attach the new metre to my account to allow me to add meter reading . Can't wait until my yr contract is up to get away from them . My recommendation to all is to avoid at all cost . Not word the hassle to switch to them

I haven't been able to log into My Account on their site for months. For some reason they make you search by Zip Code first, and then that search is broken. They bill whenever they feel like it, sometimes on the 14th, sometimes on the 22nd, or any time in between.

As other reviewers mentioned I changed my electric supplier to just energy but their rate was 3 times higher than my original one. I ended up paying their 40 dollars gift card with high rate. At sams club they said everything will stay same and my bill was not going to go higher. But it was all a lie. How come they are allowed to lie and all we can do is just complain here? Their rate is about 0.07 but national grid's highest one was 0.05 in summer and as low as 0.03. Just energy says their rate is going to stay same but it is just a rip off. Get away from them. Get your supply from your electric delivery.

The sales lady at Sam's Club was very misleading regarding this company. She claimed that whatever rate we were currently paying, that Just Energy would compete if I called and let customer service know the rate. They didn't even offer a plan that compared when I called. I'll accept that part as being my fault for being naive. She also said that they would pay the disconnection fee "if I even had one" with my previous company (I made sure to ask). When the disconnect fee came in, I spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with costumer service trying to determine how they would handle it. I was told to email a copy of this fee to them and I followed their instructions. I never heard anything back so I called again. They said they'd put in a service request and call me back. When that didn't happen, I called back and was told that they only apply a portion of the disconnect fee to our account. I couldn't understand the customer service rep when I asked how I could be sure this would happen and how to show that it was paid. I'm already worried and fed up with this company, and I haven't even received my first bill yet... which I know will be higher than with my previous company. There was more, but for the sake of keeping this short (ish).. The reasons I switched over to this company were lies. Frustrating.

Horrible customer service. Incredibly bad wait time for help. fighting with them for hours and days over them changing a "exit fee" that should not be charged. You will NOT save money. you will NOT have better electricity. you WILL NOT have a good experience... As a college professor for business strategy and leadership, I assure you this is NOT a way to be a customer-driven company. VERY POOR...

Beware of "application direct to contract" sales tactic. They come door to door and they convince you that you are paying to much for electric- gas. They ask you to fill out an application to see if you qualify, but it is really the start of a service agreement. It is an attempt to get you to sign before you can research. To start, they charge 2.75 per month on top of whatever usuge fees that will be added. So right away, you are paying 2.75 that you weren't paying before. Other than that, it seems they are just a middleman in between you and your energy supplier and scraping money off the top. Maybe you will save, but not a guarantee. Not worth being locked into a contract to find out. Do your homework and if you already signed, be sure to cancel within 3 days so you don't get charged cancellation fee.

Just energy is the worst energy company in New York!! Their ratings are beyond ridiculous.. And it's all a scam . They target low income neighborhoods all around Brooklyn.. as well as Astoria .. the Bronx .. The company never motivates their team .. & the office manager is money hungry when it comes down to sales.. they have their workers .. work in all types of weather conditions.. They knock on your door demanding to see your utility bills..to sign you up for a bogus program to increase the cost of your light and gas .. All for Commission.

wife signed up with the intentions of a lower bill. company provided no service they could explain but charged an extra $94.86 a month extra on are bill. when i called and asked why was we being charged, and for what additional services they provided no one could explain. we have so cal gas so why would we pay a extra $94 a month for no special services. and furthermore why would so cal gas allow it? this company needs to be shut down a.s.a.p
