This is not a good company to work with at all. They seem to have all types a little scams to make you pay more. They will make it very difficult for you to keep up with your payments and keep TU on if you ever get behind. If they make a mistake with your payment you will not be given time to clear up any issues they will disconnect so they can double charge you fee. And their system will post duplicate payments to your account if you are not careful.

I had been a loyal customer for several years with Just Energy, and they have been absolutely awful since 2021. But it makes sense when you find out they are going bankrupt. They shut off our electric without any notice, claiming I didn't make a payment, even though I had made a payment. They screwed us over when we moved and left the electric on for a month and then billed us for it. NOW I cannot get my final bill generated because "their system is down". Can't get any help on the phone because "their system is down". Funny how their system "went down" after we called them out on their mess. Funny how we can't get any help after they tried to give us the run around and we got hung up on while waiting to be transferred.

I was told while I was shopping in Sam's Warehouse by a Just Energy salesperson to switch provider and can cancel anytime. It took them more than three days to set up my account. I just found out that there is a cancellation fee of $175 when I created my account login. I was also told I will get a $45 Sam's credit. I should have known not to listen to anybody in public places where you won't be able to scrutinized a deal

If I could give this scam company 0 stars I would they blatantly lied about me paying my bill sent it to collections I paid it again and they still filed it through the credit beureau needless to say I'll be filing a fraud and false statement against them and possibly sue them

I am writing this review after a deeply unsettling experience with this energy company. I was initially drawn to their services due to their seemingly competitive pricing. However, my experience has been far from satisfactory. The company promised low energy prices, which was a major factor in my decision to choose their services. However, they have not lived up to their promises. Without any prior notification or explanation, my energy prices were tripled. This sudden and significant increase in cost has caused considerable strain on my budget. It is disheartening to see a company take advantage of its customers in such a manner. The lack of transparency and communication is concerning. Customers should be informed about any changes in pricing and the reasons behind them. This is not just a matter of good business practice, but also of basic respect and fairness. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this energy company due to their misleading pricing practices and lack of transparency. It is important to me to do business with companies that value honesty and customer service, and unfortunately, my experience with this company has been lacking in these areas.

Salesman ran up on me and my husband as we were bringing groceries into the house, and my husband told him no thank you. Dude proceeded to yell "Don't close the door!" as we did, because we told him no already. Proceeds to knock on our door after we shut it. We tell him to go away, not interested through the door. He knocks again, ignore it. Knocks again, husband knocks back hoping he'll get the hint. He knocks again, I yell at him to ** off through the door because why the hell is he still there? He's reading as crazy/dangerous at this point. He knocks AGAIN and my husband has to finally open the door and yell at him before he finally leaves us alone. Except now I'm getting text messages from this ** Tarrick saying he talked to my roommate (she also told him to leave us alone) and asking me when the best time to speak is. Why the ** does this unstable man have my phone number???????

When approaching contract ends in 3 months, Just Energy started to call me every day asking for a renewal. Even I said it is too early to discuss it but they just keep going! These calls were from different numbers so I cannot block them effectively. Stay away from this company. Very annoying!!

Horrible customer service! When you are lucky enough to get through the automated advisor and reach the department you were trying to reach, you will have the pleasure to talk to someone who does not want to talk to you. Save your time and nerves, choose any other provider. Run! Reply to your reply: It's funny you are providing the same useless phone number. This number is located on my Just Energy Bill (Canada) but when calling this number, you get to choose to be connected to 1. CenterPoint, 2. AEP 3. Oncore 4. Texas. No matter what step I chose, I never got through to talk to someone from Just Energy in Canada. Every person I talked to, transferred me back to the same menu. Call this number yourself and try to reach someone who can help you with your Canadian Just Energy Account and Good Luck!

My bill constantly goes up when I live alone. I didn't change anything or have any additional people over. In fact, I've been out of town half of the month. They promised this great plan of free nights but how..... My bill constantly increases.

Had a person in Kroger trying to sell me onto this idea and when I asked questions he said “oh no because you signed up in Kroger we wouldn’t charge you a disconnect fee. He sent me emails to show some of the things he had told me and just told me to click on accept. I did because I was able to read what I was accepting. When I got to a final page he tried to tell me “just click accept” but I realized he was trying to get me to “just click” on a contract to disconnect my electricity and sign over to them and charge me $175 to Disconnect if I didn’t like. When I told him “I need time to read all this before I sign” he quickly walked away before I could ask questions. After reading what he didn’t want me to read I realized it was a scam

Sales rep promised me things that weren't true, it has been more expensive than my previous provider and customer service is terrible. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

010324 Another sucker from Sam's club in store 3rd party sales person. Doubled my bill. 010524 Called customer service and they offered me a 34.3% lower rate but still 16.13% higher than my original electric provider. Really only 1.04 cents higher. The original incentive was a lower or equal rate plus the Sam's club $25 gift card & possible other future gift cards. Will see how this works in a few months. The new rate is fixed for 36 months. Still only giving a 3 star rating over the previous 1 star because I am yet to be ahead on this new rate or deal if that happens in the future. 020124 My current bill didn't go down at all. Still charging me the same rate. I guess I can call them liars now. Now I have to waste more time calling them and listening to them tell me another lie. 030624 I didn't call them about my February bill. I did get my March bill and they did honor the rate I had to negotiate to get. I'm still not ahead or even from changing to them but I will give it a few more months to see if I average out decently. I did get the Sam's Club $25 card. I'll add another star.

Horrible rates and customers service. Been lied to twice and cant even cancel the plan unless I give them even more money. Their website and app are horrible to use. There's also a 4$ service fee whenever you pay your bill.

I was at Sams Club and signed up for Just energy because I was told they have low rates and I would be getting a few gift cards the first one was after so many months having their service and that time is past I was suppose to get it in 48 hours and that time is also past. I checked for their number to call them and shows customer service open on Saturday till 6PM well I called at 11AM and not open. So I will cancel my service and get a good honest company. I will also contact Sams club about this

this company seems to have a record of ripping people off and then refusing to make any kind of restitution. Wish I had checked them out before doing business with them. Fortunately I was able to get rid of my contract with them, after seeing my bill double for the two months they robbed me ! To add insult to injury they never responded to any of my communications. Also think Sam's club needs their fingers smacked for allowing Just Energy representatives to perpetuate this fraud in their stores. It's called "Guilt by association !

Horrible Experience, It was a Nightmare! I wish there is something below 1 star! The agent at Sam’s Club literally lied that their rates are the same as DTE so she convinced me to switch my gas supply for them, and after doing my research I found out that their rates are x2 from what I am having from DTE !! I called and terminated the contract, after struggling for two weeks, and I couldn’t receive a cancellation letter to confirm that the contract was terminated. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to think of working with them, you will regret it !!!

I signed a three year contact with Just Energy because I was enticed by the low price per kilowatt hour & the company’s Green Energy stance. Boy was I mistaken. My electricity bills have been more expensive in the two year since I made the switch. On average, I have paid anywhere between $50 to $125 more, per month, than when I was with my previous electric company (Cinergy). I receive email notifications stating an estimated electricity bill for the month but the actual payment is always more. For example, for the month of October, our electric bill was estimated to be around $288 the actual amount deducted from our checking account was $323. I don’t understand how the estimated bill and the actual bill can change within a weeks time. It’s not because we are consuming more electricity. There are days where our air conditioner would shut off because the temperature inside the house was cooler. I still have another year on my contract with Just Energy but I have thought about paying the fee to break my contract & searching for a different electric provider.
