Not going to waste my time even writing a review, you can easily tell from simply googling that these guys are crooks. Wish we had done it before the thief rang the bell and shook our hand. Contact me when the class action occurs. I want in on that. In regards to reply by just energy: You think we HAVEN’T tried to resolve this by contacting you!? We literally have contacted you over a dozen times. We either receive rude customer service who couldn’t care less and are hang up on us or leave us on hold forever or empty promises from customer service people who say “Its all taken care of, no worries, you will get a credit back in a couple of weeks” Only to REPEAT the same phone call all over again! Empty promises! We even messaged the CEO on LinkedIn and NEXT we will be contacting our local news who does newscasts on these rip-off companies! Update: After inquiring with PG & E about the the best course of action to cancel our account with this company and get some resolve to our repeated requests and phone calls to Just Energy (repeated phone call went nowhere and resulted in being hung up on, left on hold forever and empty promises), PG&E told us to file a complaint with the Public Utilities Commission. I highly recommend if you are having issues you place a complaint. We finally received a phone call from someone at Just Energy who said they would handle it and refund us the money we had repeatedly been billed despite calling multiple times to cancel our account ( we had called immediately upon getting our first bill when we realized we had been scammed). We had hope after that phone call....BUT....RIDICULOUSLY we received a phone call from Just Energy a few short days later attempting to COLLECT our past due balance. This is crazy!? How is this place in business? Update 7/17/19: Received another phone call attempting to collect money that we do not owe. Also realized that the same number has been calling us repeatedly every day.

Did not turn up at arranged times on several occasions. Would not refund money. Now pursuing legal options.

No stars ⭐️ is not a option. Houston customer service management is a passive aggressive Queen from the montrose were the office is. I too am gay and I would usually prefer to have another friend. My electric was turned off over 88$ in May. This is the worst experience ever.. After switching my electric off I went to another. I would never send another dime.

Would give zero stars if that was even an option. One of the worst companies I've dealt with over the years. Over priced and shady. Unknowledgeable staff. Calling me asking for payment when bill was 2 days over due and had no outstanding balance owing.

As a 15+ year client with Just energy and a individual who hs been working in a customer service industry for 40 years I find it unaccpetable that this company refuses to listen to their customers, make appropriate changes, has no follow through on requests and then calls only to hang up on a customer with out asking all the pertinent questions. Here are a few things that we have been trying to get fixed over the last 3 years... name change on the account with a renewed contract, a new contract which was sent to us and signed and returned to Just energy, and having someone listen thoroughly to our concerns. The last thing that prompted this review was a phone call just received from someone at Just energy asking to speak to the first named person on the house and when they were advised that he wasnt here and we wouldnt be giving the message to that person they hung up saying that is your right. What should have happened is a question as to why that person wouldnt be getting the message or how could they help us or maybe how we could help them to achieve the desired outcome. As the second named person on the house and the decision maker in the house this has finally prompted me to write a review and I/we will be moving our business to a provider that understands customer service and what being polite means. It is really too bad that Just Energy deems long time customers as problems they would sooner see let go rather than work with them to achieve the best for both.

**FRAUD ALERT** Due to lax and negligent business practices, Just Energy has allowed a residential energy account I be fraudulently opened in my name. Despite my best efforts to seek a resolution to this matter and have the account closed, Just Energy refuses to communicate with me regarding this matter. At all costs, avoid doing business with this company. I have filed complaints with the Houston Police Department, the Federal Trade Commission, the Public Utilities Commission of Texas, and the Better Business Bureau. I am incurring ongoing financial damages due to Just Energy's delay in addressing this matter. As such, I have referred this matter to an attorney in order to pursue this as a civil matter and seek compensation for ongoing damages. I do not recommend that any person do business with this company. Due to irresponsible and negligent business practices, you may find yourself in a bad situation with no semblance of resolution. What's worse, despite my repeated efforts to resolve the matter directly with Just Energy, no member of their staff has contacted me directly in over a month or attempted communications.

I have no reservation in recommending Just Energy, for all Solar needs / Installations.. Great Customer Relations, Service and from my aspect, have a CAN DO APPROACH. I used Just Energy for years for both my house in Houston and the apartment in Dallas area. When I was in Dallas area last year. I change my power plan in October, I was clearly told there won't be a early termination fee if I call in to cancel the service before I move out. I called Customer Service on Jan 8, and was told the provider was switched on Jan 4. (It was my apartment management switched it instead of me). The Rep lady helped me waived the early termination fee and I paid off all the balance in the call. I confirmed with her before ending the call, I'm good to go, there's no pending expense for me. I received call from Just Energy today saying I have $175 balance in my account. I asked what's that fee is? The answer is that's the bill from 12/6/2018-1/4/2019. But I made my final payment on the call on Jan 8, the statement 12/6/2018-1/4/2019 was available before Jan 8. We ended the call since I need to verify my payment record. I called CS back and this time I was told that $175 is the early termination fee. I said it was waived in my call on Jan 8 but they kept repeating that you switched the provider before you call us. I told them the problem was solved in the call on Jan 8. It doesn't make any sense to me, I paid off all my balance and someone comes back later telling me "Hey, you owe us $175, give me the money." The call was then transferred to a supervisor and again he kept repeating the same thing. And he had new excuse, he said my request of waiving the early termination fee was denied. It is a very good excuse because there's no way for me to find the evidence. If the request was denied, why I was told the termination fee was waived. Who made that decision then? Can a Rep confirm with the customer of fee waiver without any approval from a supervisor or manager? The call was ended without any solution. I don't want to waste my time on listening the same or maybe new excuse from them. I called in again and made the payment of $175. I will cancel my service for my house in Houston tomorrow. Good Job, Just Energy!!! You made good money from me!!! And you lose a customer forever!! $175 breaks a 4-year relationship. Please be VERY careful when you deal with Just Energy if you have to. Keep record for everything, ask for confirmation email when they promise you something on the call. What they said on the phone really means nothing. Good Job again, Just Energy.

Just Energy has twice made major mistakes with my account. They cancelled my account twice and allowed another person to sign up for my account without providing me any notification that my account was being cancelled. When I called to talk to them about this the first agent hung up on me. When I called back the second time I was transferred to the wrong state and then had to talk to a third agent to get service. The agents are very rude; they are not helpful and don't want to work with you. They refuse to admit that they made a mistake. They think you are lying and will not help you. I would not use this company. I have switched to another provider, Scana, and have received much better service.

What a scam. Just received a collection notice to my late Father's estate. He doesn't even use them and doesn't appear he is even in their service territory. Routed to endless phone chain. Person at 800 number refused to let me speak to a supervisor. It's a joke to call it a customer service department. Will report to all authorities for attempted fraud.

I get this stupid letter in the mail saying my utility account is past due. I’ve never Had first energy. Never will. It’s all a scam. My electric bill is through another company that’s automatic deducted and my gas is on a co op auto deducted as well. Sad that this country has come to this and sooo many scams. What happened to honesty and working for what you have. Ridiculous

They are the most expensive electricity company out in Texas! They have no common curtesy when assisting a valuable customer. When you have a question they take a long time to answer. I would never advise Just Energy to anyone.

Nice representative (E B) inside Samsclub explained me that they will help me switch to Just Energy as a gas supplier with DTE without any change in price. My bill will only show Just Energy as the supplier. He promised there will not be any change in billing. Now I got the first bill and to my surprise it was 3 times more than what I was paying to DTE. This is a trap and rip off by Just energy (may be representative). I am not sure how Samsclub will allow them inside to sell the product to their members.

I was recently charged a procurement charge by Just Energy on my Socal Gas bill for this month and last month which doubled my monthly bill. I called Just Energy to get information on the charge and the representative said she had never heard of that type of charge and to call back in 72 hours to becuase she was going to put in a request to the billing department and have them look into it. Why couldn't she just transfer me to that department!? She said she couldn't and to just call back. I'm very upset!

Hoping I didn't make a mistake doing what I did. Did not get a full explanation of what I signed up for. Young lady was very sweet and friendly and I was in a bit of a time crunch, never explained that my suppliers were changing. Made a mistake doing that once before with the promise of saving money on my electric bill and it turned out to cost more. I will give this a few months and hope for the best.

I never had any services with Just Energy, however their "collections department" blackmailing me for past due account for $50. Filed complaint with BBB. UPD. Later I found that they switched my service from my local carrier to their company without my authorization and signed me up for 5 years. When I asked to provide me with the copy of the agreement they told that I signed commitment over the phone. Unbelievable.

Today I received a letter in the mail advising that Just Energy did not have my correct email address, even though I have been on e-billing since becoming a customer several years ago. This tactic to get me to call in in order to sell additional products does not sit well with me. It should be noted that I routinely get the usual billing and furnace filter notifications, so the letter is an outright lie. If I wanted to subscribe to any additional services, I would contact my provider and not expect them to use skulduggery to force me to take time out of my busy day to contact them. Next time I get a letter like this, I will simply ignore it. :( For any of you who receive a similar letter and you are already on e-billing, beware. This is a tactic and should be ignored.
