I have been a Just Energy customer for three years. I have recently put solar panels on my home and one of the reps changed my provider. I told the rep. from the Solar Panels that I wanted to go back to Just Energy because I did not want to pay an exit fee of $175.00 to Just Energy. I received and e mail from Just Energy, stating "Stay with Just Energy! Exclusive offer inside. I called and talked with one of your representatives today 3/7/19 @ 3:30 to about 3:35. Her name is Adriana. I told her that I had told my Solar Panels rep. that I was going back to Just Energy. I also mentioned that I needed Just Energy to provide my electricity in my apartment in San Antonio. I gave her the address and she said that she would check to see if Just Energy could provide my electricity. She then told me that this company does not provide energy to my address. I then asked her then what we could do and she said, she couldn't do anything and that I had to pay the entire bill of $360.73. I told her that I would be willing to pay what energy I had used but that it would not be fair to pay also for the exit fee, since this company can not provide energy to my new home. Since she could not help me further I asked to speak with a supervisor and she told me that there wasn't one available. I told her that she had my cell phone number and as soon as one was available to have them call me. it is 4:15 at the time I am writing this and yet no call. I am extremely disappointed in this company. I would sadly say I could not recommend Just Energy to anyone. I hope a supervisor can call me so that we can resolve this.
i had a rep come to my door and they signed me up without my permision i had to get a phone call and they told me i siwtched and i was like i did not they sighned everything without my knowledge!! I had to hurry and cancel that!
RUN.. I signed up at Sams Club in December 2018, their rep said that I will save on average half and perhaps more. I received my first bill last week after they completed the switch in January and they charged me three times MORE than my previous carrier. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THESE GUYS. I have learned a good lesson. If someone offers you to switch, make them show you how much you will save in writing. As a college student, I am frugal because of I have no money. These people should be ashamed of themselves for preying upon people with promises they know are not true.
Run from this company! I have been a customer for about 4 years and had a good experience with the rates and services until today! I moved from one place to another and transferred service in December and as of today I still have service at my old and new address! I went online and did the transfer and stop service for December 7th and 10th and I haven’t received not one bill to say I owed anything and that there was still service at the old address. How I found out is my husband went online to pay the new bill and was fishing around on the website and seen a total of $185 worth of charges from the previous address. How is that possible and we’ve been gone from that address since December 9th? So, I got on the phone with Just Energy for the representative to say, he doesn’t see where I submitted a request for the lights to be disconnected at the old address. I told him that the new service and the disconnection of the old service was done online and he outright said that there’s no proof and that there’s nothing they can do! First off, I’ve been a loyal customer to Just Energy and my record shows I’ve never had service at two addresses for more then a couple of days. I usually don’t complain or do reviews but it’s a slap in my face to charge me and see that I’ve been paying my new bill but haven’t been paying on my old bill! Clearly, that should throw up a red flag! I’m just through with this company! There’s a lot of competition and don’t need this added stress!
If I could give this company a "minus" star I would. My dad was "tackled" by sales people as he walked into Sams Club and talked into changing from AEP to Just Energy. They use their "rewards" or gift card to lure people in. He was told that his rates would be alot lower and that he wasn't locked into a contract. The first bill our electric bill was high, but figured it was from running the furnace more because of the cold temperatures. That's not the reason. Got another HIGHER bill so my dad spoke with AEP this morning and found out that Just Energy is charging us 7.1 per KWH! AEP is under 6 per KWH. Doesn't sound lower or any type of savings to me? My dad called Just Energy this morning to cancel and they were rude as can be! He asked for a name and a cancellation number. All they would give him is a number (77145) and said that it would be a couple of months before we are cancelled. So that's at least two more HIGH electric bills. I'm going to speak with Sam's Club about how this company preys on the stores reputable customers while they are in the store to SHOP! Not to be lied to and cheated into services that alot of people are caught off guard to buy. Them giving you a $40.00 gift card as a "reward" doesn't come close to what they are gouging and stealing off people with their charges. Not to mention the elderly and disabled that are on fixed incomes that will listen to their sales pitch of saving them money! It's not like they are giving out "free samples." I think this is downright criminal of this company! I do know that it's a very unethical and a desperate way to get customers.
I received a call from this number +1 817-886-0241 pretending to be from just energy she knew my name and instructed me to call socalgas and overall I don't like the way I see the charges it's skyrocketing. And it seems like the agent or someone in their office is a scam I'm so worried my whole information was given to just energy agent I regret signing up
One star is too many. Caused a $150 increase in my bill. All separated and clearly billed by just energy
I was talked into switching at a Sam's Club & told there was no savings but I would get a $45 gift card and "Perks". The price per cubic foot is almost twice the cost of Consumers Energy! Cancelled as soon as I could. Stay away from this scam!!!
Please leave me alone! If we say no, then stop ringing my doorbell and knocking on my door. Your salesman has come to my door 4 times in the last 2 days, the last time saying to my husband, “I’ll be back in 20 mins.” What the actual f do you people not understand?! No means f’ing no!! If my husband said no, then it’s no. Don’t say you’ll be back to talk to the wife! What the f Just Energy?! And your salesman actually had the audacity to say, “I know she’s home...” looking over my husband’s shoulder. So??!! You’re offering me a “rewards” points program?!! That’s what’s so bloody important?! (Really Just? How do your salesmen get commission from a FREE rewards program? Only a commission salesman is a persistent a-hole like this.) And please, for the love of holy hell, hire people with actual people skills!!
All lies!!!. They promise you will save money on your bill but my bill was coming out 2x more expensive every month. My gas bill would normally be $15-$20 a month and with Just Energy it was coming out $50 every month. Just cancelled with them as a 3rd party and went back to my regular gas company. Dont waste your time or money!! they will screw innocent people over for their profit!
It's a total rip off. I got tricked into it in Sams club with the claim that my rate doesn't change. My first bill went up by more than double. I could figure out it by looking at the rate per Mcf.
My contract ending soon. I don't want to renew it at all. While I made a phone call with a 20minutes wait, the service guy just hung off my phone once he heard that I am going to cancel the renewal after verify my account. Then another 4 6-20 minutes waiting for phone calls, never answnered and I sent them 4 emails never replied
Bills always come late and are unorganized with not properly having both power and gas on bills every month, making payments frustrating and not knowing an average amount to expect! Due dates are always within 5 days of bill arrivals forcing us to call AGAIN to confirm bad mailing schedule! I don't and won't do email payment and expect better services and due dates! Brutal English speaking on phone services too!
I was told this was a free service when I was stopped when I was doing my shopping st Sams Club. I got a bill in the mail and went back to Sams club hoping to see a rep. I did so I asked him and he assured me it was a free service to make sure people don’t over pay. Well I pay more now on my Electric bill then I did without them. Absolutely ridiculous!
I read the reviews after signing up to this company and panic set in... I was waiting for everything to go wrong! That couldn't have been further than the truth.. the switch over was all taken care of and I am saving money, which of course was the reason I switched!! So I was shocked at all the bad review's. It dawned on me though that I never actually write a review when things go well and I like most people tend to only write one if something goes wrong. So I'd like to say my experience was very positive... staff were professional and friendly. They did exactly what they said they would.
Don't go with this company, sales person lied to us and signed us up with out our permission; even after we explicitly told them we did not want to sign up. If a company is going to treat its customers and signing them up with out their permission; how will they handle bills, outages, and customer complaints. Do NOT go with this company, I am furioys with the sales person.
Awful customer service. They don't know anything. Their banking system charged double the bill which was paid. I made a huge mistake choosing them. Really thinking to terminate the contract before its end!

Again this company JUST ENERGY must close and out to business It the most thief energy company they overcharge the bill with numbers imaginaries, I will demand with the OFFICE of ENERGY MANAGEMENT and Consumer Complain to start an investigation because this business is a scam to prejudice all customers with overprices in their bills I will start to get all the evidence to demand it.
If I could give 0 starts I would . I have been a customer with just energy for 10 years now and just today I decided to cancel my membership. They don’t have no consideration for customers . So my previous contract finished and they never sent me a letter or notice or call or email explaining or asking if I want to renew my contract instead they prefered to continue and charge my normal rate which was really expensive being out of contract and a normal rate . So 3 months passed and I notice every month my bill was getting higher and higher so I decided to call them and that’s when they told me that my contract was done. So I got mad and the guy whom I spoke to told me that’s because they never told me it was done they’re would of made an adjustment on my bill but guess what 3 weeks passed and nothing and a new bill posted on top of the old one . So I kept calling to see when was the issue going to be solved and they kept telling me lies saying I had to wait . So 5 more weeks come and I decide to just put an end to it when I called and spoke to the manager they told me there’s nothing they can do that’s how much I owe. I was furious why promise a customer something and not keep your end of it ? And I been dealing with this bull for so long and nothing can never be solved . So I finally just decide to pay what I owe which was 582 and cancel my stupid membership and never again I will get just energy or recommend to any family or friends. THIS IS THE WORST ENERGY PROVIDER EVER DONT EVER EVER GET IT. They will treat you like bad once you a customer all they want is for you to sign up with them and after that it’s done.
