I am very dissatisfied with the service and customer service with this company. Haven't had just energy for over a year and all of a sudden I get these messages saying I owe 32.08. For what I don't know. I paid it but to anyone thinking of going with this company DON'T. Very rude customer service and not very knowledgeable on the company.
Zero stars!!!!!! I should have looked up reviews before signing up. We haven’t had any heat or ac on for the last month and I expected the bill to be significantly lower. It is $50 higher than last month!!!! Our central air is turned off and somehow it’s higher than when we were cooling an entire house? What a scam. I am cancelling as soon as they open at 9! When they had us sign up they explained that we will see our bills go down over time and that is a complete lie. DO NOT SIGN UP!!!!!!!
Zero stars, employee mistepresented himself as another gas company employee, took advantage og my blindness and disability and fraudently signed me up. My caretaker came the same day and immediately called and cancelled. They sent me an email confirming canxellation, then 3 months later i get a bill for service, again another email that my service was cancelled. They send my money back to gas company, that i accidently paid to them. And now send me a collections notice 9 months later. Wth, doing a BBB REPORT today. Funny collections wont answer their phone. Im ready with all my emails, their collections threatned to put it on my credit. Bad company

Do NOT get persuaded to sign a service agreement with them! My bills were easily double what I currently pay now that my FIVE YEAR CONTRACT has ended. If there were a class action suit, I would readily partake to recoup funds and have retained all my previous bills as proof. As a single parent, I had a limited budget and the over payment spent could have better been spent on my children had I known - essentially, they are taking advantage of consumers to pad their pockets - NOT COOL. Additionally, there is a cancellation fee for closing your contract with them and the price makes it difficult to escape. Be wary of any "confirmed" online reports of excellent service and monetary savings - they are likely faux email accounts from the company...not difficult to do in this day and age. I question why this company exists or is even legal! ZERO stars. In fact, the business is so poor that they couldn't offer me money to remove this post. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! 21 October: Received a response from Just Energy to above post: "Hi there, thanks for your feedback. We hate to hear that you have not been satisfied with your latest bills and we would appreciate the opportunity to review your invoices to verify charges and see if there is a better fitting plan. Please reply with your account information, the best number and time to contact you so we can see what possible solutions we have for lowering your bill. Thank you, Gabriella, Social Media Advisor" So essentially JE didn't read that I am no longer with them (5 year contract expired and now paying less than half the cost elsewhere), they also couldn't provide the courtesy of examining my service while I was a customer. Within one week from this update, I will calculate and post the total amount charged by JE during my 5 year contract, as well as the cost of what would have otherwise been my service provider at the time and outline the difference. I cringe to think of what this total is, but if that doesn't discourage people from signing up with them, nothing will. Oh and JE: I plan to also write my Minister and MP.
Scam after 2 months you'll get a random added charge. I was out of town and used waaaaay less and my bill was twice as high thanks to them. Do not get talked into this.
My first contract was wonderful. During this contract, the bills were a little more expensive. I'm on disability and couldn't afford to pay my current bill in whole, so tried to make a payment arrangement for the other $100. I only needed a 2 day extension. They approved it, but only if I could pay half (which I currently don't have). Then the agent brought up me renewing my contract. She offered me a three year contract paying more than I'm paying now. Currently looking for another company because I'm not happy!
Had this company for 2 months now. My bill has continued to increase rather then decrease like they said. I compared my electric use from Ambit to when I switched over to just energy and the usage is the same but my bill has almost doubled. Not sure how this is even possible if my nights are supposed to be free??? Worst decision I made by switching.
I disconnected their service, they never sent me a bill and just sent me to collection. I never refused nor declined to pay. THEY SUCK, STAY AWAY!
I paid my bill and cancelled services and recieved a $100 check in the mail months later and now just energy collection is saying i owe $143.57 and its going to my credit this is the 2nd email i called just energy and they said i dont owe anything and sent a message for someone to contact me no one did the phone didnt go thru when i called just energy collection the first time the second time they hung up when i told them i paid and cancelled i was on hold for 45 min before i hung up waiting to speak to a manager the 3rd time
I signed up with a representative I met while walking in Sam’s Club. It was an impulsive decision. I found out that I would get free nights and then pay 18.5-24 cents per kilowatt the rest of the time for the 100% renewable energy when I received the contract via email. I knew right away I could not afford those rates. I contacted them to request cancellation. If I have to pay termination fees for service that has not even started, I’ll pay that. A single electric bill outside my budget would be worse than paying the one-time $175 early termination fee before the service has even started. I usually do my homework. I was having a bad day.
I am not understanding why they are charging me $150, when they discontinued the service. I should've never signed up. I have called several times and they hang up. Now I receive an email sending me to collections? I paid my bill, what is this extra $150.48? Please Just Energy, contact me and stop hanging up.
I had them first 2 years and switch to another company for a lower rate. I called into the company to notify them and was on the phone with a lady for about an hour as she canceled my billing NEVER once did she express there was no need to do such a thing as this would disrupt service with my new provider!!! My gas and hot water was cut off and I now have to pay my new provider a $75.00 reconnection fee. My thing is the customer service lady in that whole hour of asking a million questions did not once inform me of the unknown (to me) consequences. My only goal was to discontinue paying that company NOT to disconnect my service... (in GA it's all regulated by one company) Now I had to get my credit ran again, pay a $75 reconnection fee and am out of gas and hot water (single working mom with a son) for the next 48 hours. I called and spoke with some guy who transferred me to a "manager" per my request his name is so called Diego #15532 and all he did was give an apology and blame the new company when I asked for him to escalate it to his supervisor or superiors he REFUSED!!! and instead gave me this email cssouth@.... I'm a beyond furious and DO SUGGEST THAT PEOPLE BEWARE OF HOW THEY DO BUSINESS!!!
Just energy is the biggest scam
If I could give Just Energy 5 negative stars I would . when I first signed up with them I was paying .8 cents a Kwh. Over time I noticed by bill was getting larger. A couple of months ago I got my bill and it was nearly DOUBLE. Come to find out, my rate was raised to OVER 20 CENTS A KWH. These people are crooks. my final bill with Just energy was $443 and I live in a 2 bedroom apartment. I DROPPED JUST ENERGY LIKE A HOT POTATO. I hope the owners of this company are proud of the way that they steal from the working person.
My first contract with Just Energy was good. It was for 2 years and I was satisfied with my contract with them. The second contract was also good. The same thing. I was satisfied. When that contract came to an end I got into a situation with them that I had to set a new contract with them against my wishes but I couldn't get out of it without paying the exit fee. Being in my 70's and on a very fixed income I worked for days with them to come up with something I could afford. They offered me a deal that was a lot more than my previous contracts with them. Finally Delgado, the rep I was working with said he had the perfect deal for me. He went over it all, said that the final amount he stated to me included pass through and deliver charges. That was what I had before. Also because I live in a small living space and hardly ever use up to 1000 kw a month I was told this deal was for low usage. That's not what I got at all. My contract included a high delivery charge and I was billed 5 cents more for using less than 1000kw. My bill kept going up even though I kept my cooling set at 78, When my bill doubled I then set it to 79 sweating most of the time but trying to keep my bill where I could pay it. That month it went up $10 more. So now my bill is more than doubled. I am locked in a 2 year contract and if I had $175 extra I'd get out right now. I will never use this company again and I urge everyone that is looking not to use them. They tell you anything but they lie. They lied to me. If I could sue I would. There are companies that include delivery and pass through cost. Trieagle is one and I am anxious to get done with Just Energy and move to a company that does what they say. I know Tri eagle does because my daughter uses them. 1/4 of my social security check goes to my electric bill.
I believe this to be scam. I was promised a gift card of 70 dollars. It took months to receive it, then they gave me a none active card, nothing on it! I been calling for two weeks!! The number that came with the letter I get the same people helping and the same story of we will send it to that department and it should work in 24 hours. Nope not true! I been told this 5 times now! They used the gifts card to get u signed up. They promise but scam u and lie! Dont sign up for them! I been in contact with other customers as well and they get the same story. I will be making phone calls today and reporting them. I will be canceling my services!! They are a joke ! God forgive them and taking advantage of people and scamming them! I'm in New Jersey so plz dont fall for their scams!
It has been a terrible experience with Just Energy. I paid more to this energy company each month than what I pay for my car loans. I was supposed to save a lot of money when their rep made me sign up promising all the nights free and I can use our dish washer, washer/dryer in the nights. Let me tell you, we used to use dishwasher every day in the mornings and washer/dryer mostly in the evening before 9 and this was with previous electricity provider and I never paid more than $200 per month. Ever since I moved to this company it is all so weird how they bill. I have no way to verify how in the world we used so many units during the day when the majority of our load we are trying to put during nights which of course they said its all free. I have no way to verify they're not scamming some how. Y'all don't believe, I moved to this company and I started paying $450 on an average each month. The even more disturbing fact is we moved out of our house and now listed for sale. Since 45 days not even a single bug living in our house and I put the AC to 80 deg and that's all the electricity it is suppose to use except refrigerator. I still get ungodly 300+ bill for the month I don't use. Now, I just checked my weekly usage estimate and it showed me I'm heading towards estimated $270. How????? I mean HOWWW???? I'm not using anything and the doors are locked. I must have paid over $2000 in last 4 months which I never touched that amount for the entire year with Green Mountain or TXU earlier. 4 months with JUST Energy - Over $2000 (2 adults in the house) 12 months with previous providers - Less than $2000 (2 adults in the house) I will be reaching out to you guys for compensation towards all the scam and If I'm don't receive enough explanation of all this nonsense, I will be filing a compliant Public Utility Commission of Texas. I encourage everyone here to file a compliant against such companies. I lost sleep over my electricity bills.
If i could give 0 stars I would!!! Worst company ever. They reel you in saying your will save going with them! Our last bill $886 for a residential home! Not a business! not a mansion!! The bill before that $500 (mind you this is a 3 bedroom home and everyone is always at work). I called them to have them come check the meter, they said they dont due that and the amount is correct! This is absurd! I dont even think businesses have bills that high! BEWARE!! They are all about money! We never paid more than $200 before this company! DO NOT USE THEM!!!
I wouldn’t give them any stars if possible. I signed up at Sam’s with a nice representative which compared my previous bill from a different provider and said I would’ve saved about $20 on that bill if I was with Just Energy. Since my previous contract had expired and they were not offering me any reasonable rates I went ahead and switched to Just Energy. My bill is DOUBLED what I normally would pay in September! Never in 8 years have I ever paid this much! I called and spoke to Angie and she could not help me with this bill. She offered me to switch to a different plan for the following month but that was high as well. I asked for help with this bill and she said there was nothing she or any other representative could do except file a complaint and someone would contact me within 30-45 days! What?! Ridiculous! I’m switching and letting everyone on my Nextdoor know not to fall for what I fell for.
