This is for a 2013 experience that still haunts me to this day. Whenever I need a giggle, I look up 'Hunter Express reviews', not because I like to see people getting screwed over, but I love how creatively expressive screwed-over people can get! This company is just an absolute stand-out. '1 star: Bad' is so woefully inadequate to describe their abject lack of anything approaching competence. I am gobsmacked they are still in business after 6 more years of the same 'service' I received. They managed to completely 'lose' my fridge. The company I bought from were never able to recover the fridge and had to get the manufacturer to deliver me a replacement one directly from their factory. The funniest thing, though, was when I got home one day, many weeks after the fridge originally went missing, to find a slip from Hunter saying they had come to COLLECT a fridge but no-one was home. Gosh, I wish so bad that I had been home that day. True story. The end. (This review has been edited because Hunter complained - I feel like if they spent their efforts on actual logistics and better customer service, maybe they wouldn't get such terrible reviews)
I have had a item in limbo from Sydney to Perth for three weeks now with no answers or viable response! Very disappointed!
Excellent service from the Newcastle Branch of Hunter Express - they went out of their way to deliver a difficult cargo- worked after hours to get the delivery on time.
I’d give this company no stars if I could. On the phone trying to speak with someone for ages. Product not delivered within timeframe. No communication and don’t return calls. Was told it would be delivered 1-3 days. A week later nothing. The lady answering the phone was good but could do nothing to help me. Worst courier service I’ve encountered. Please do not use them as a company they will make your customers very unhappy.
Good experience: I ordered a bed and mattress, I was able to track the items and it took three business days to arrive. The driver Karam contacted me by phone in the morning and we organised the drop off. The items arrived at the exact time he told me. He was polite and followed my instructions for drop perfectly.
Package is over a month late. Received a text one day saying I was not home when my package was deliver collect from local depot. I was home on this day and no one knocked on my door and no slip with any information was left. I have attempted to call Hunter express every day since with no success and have also emailed with no response. My package tracking number no longer reads. I am unaware of where my package is. The worst service I have ever received, not even able to find a contact number for any of the Depot is Western Australia.
I have used many couriers but Hunter Express is by far the worst. Purchased expensive TV from Appliance Central. Took two days to reach Adelaide from NSW but has been sitting in the Adelaide depot since 21/08. Don't bother calling because you will run around in circles to only be directed to a website or told to contact the seller if you item has no arrived. Called again to speak to someone and was on hold for 55 minutes before the phone hung up. When finally getting through I was told that a message will be sent to the depot to call me back. Not surprised no call back. No direct number or email to depot. Pathetic customer service.
Help! Please, can someone please just contact me and look into where my delivery is! Can't get any help from Hunter Express and when I go to where I purchased from they have no more information than I have, which is nothing. No tracking information on website, grrrr very frustrating. Can someone look into this please??
Driver delivered the wrong parcel to my house and removed the delivery label to try to cover it up. Lucky the phone number of the recipient was left on a small part of label still intact so we managed to find the owner of the parcel left at our house. After a week of waiting for our parcel we found that Hunter Express had marked it as delivered. No help provided at all, had to track our own parcel down. No communication or refund forthcoming from the company. Have sent them emails four times now. Decided not to buy from the seller again due to Hunter Express. Terrible customer service and two people would not have received their parcels if we didn't do some running around ourselves.
Not good. Apparently delivery was attempted yesterday. That's a total lie. I was home all day and would have heard the door easily. It says I was carded but I wasn't so now I have no idea where my package is, and where I am supposed to pick it up from. On top of that I was expecting them to deliver it to my door (like is paid $70) for as I don't have a car currently. When I try to call them up to call them up there is no response; completely automated, and when you try to talk to an operator their inbox is full with other enquiries so it's impossible to leave a message. When you try to call the depot, there is no phone number or email address listed so now I'm left to worry about where my package is and how I'm supposed to get it to my place. Great way to make a customer feel!
Absolutely shocking!!!!!!! this company should not be in business I don't understand why companies use Hunter Express. This is the second time I have dealt with this company and it has been a terrible experience, Tracking system does not work, if you manage to get through to a customer service operator you still are no further ahead no answers given. Come on Hunter Express people pay for the product and the delivery service get your act together and do the correct thing for your customers!!!!!!!!!!!! Josie Lymbery
Useless. Utterly useless. A package sent by Kogan was meant to take 5 days, then I was told it would arrive on the 7th business day before end of business, it is now 1724 and it is STILL NOT HERE! I have tried to call Hunter Express but just get automated bull. It has been scanned into 4 different depots between Melbourne and a location an hour out of Adelaide. It's disgusting.
My review has been revised as a Hunter Express representative contacted me and resolved my issue by having the depot on forward my package the next day. I’ll leave my original review below for reference. Changed from 1 star to 4. If there were an option for zero stars I would take it. Arrived at the Canning Vale depot at 3:20pm to pick up a parcel only to find the office closed even though the website says business hours till 5pm. Very frustrating seeing as this was a special trip 40mins drive for me. No email contact and after waiting 30 mins on the phone was told sorry they shut early. When I suggested that they deliver to my home as they weren’t there I was told they’ll do it for $140. What a joke. If you have a choice do not use this incompetent company. Can you give me contact details to give you my consignment number?
I would not recommend Hunter Express to anyone. No email address or phone number to enquire where your package is when it is overdue. I laugh at the page with pictures of people with smiles on there faces. I think they must be on drugs as this would be one of those company's that have no service what so ever The tracking is crap
I've just checked my tracking and says the items are out for delivery today. I have read so much mixed good and bad reviews. Should I trust this company to make a delivery out on time today? I will be home all day today. Should I be able to get a good experience when I can write a good review next? Not too sure and I don't want to feel miserable again.
We had a visit today from our account manager Jenny Whiting. It was lovely to see how serious Hunter Express is in regards to gaining feedback on there services. Jenny was lovely and answered any queries we had well as took any ideas and criticism onboard. We appreciate all the time and effort that has gone into improving there service.
Some of the drivers do not seem to be honest, an incident just last week where the driver told his supervisor he was told to deliver the parcel into the store room of a childcare centre, the truth was he did not want to take it into the centre. We work hard looking for new customers and hunters drivers simply destroy our efforts by not fulfilling their duty, then they still charge us 18.90% fuel surcharge !!
Customer service needs to improve by being accessible for urgent enquiries. I didn't get a reply to my urgent online enquiry and could not get through to a person on the phone for days. Thank you 'Con' for sorting out the problem which none else could.
the deliveries are always late, we have had a lot of damaged goods this year than any other year, lost ctns, goods sent to the wrong state. the delivery service needs to improve.
When we started they were great. A very noticeable and unfortunate downhill slide since then. The sales/account management team are too far from professional to be taken seriously. They were a budget carrier and so a budget service was to be expected, they are no longer budget priced but continue with a budget service
