FAQs
Having purchased a new property nearly 5 years ago with open spaces managed by Greenbelt I was sceptical of the company and the business model and still am to some extent. That said we have made a concerted effort to engage positively with Greenbelt and have had a lot of very positive engagement with Nick Upton, customer liaison manager with Greenbelt. He has gone over and above to address many of our concerns and brought about positive change in a number of key areas. We now enjoy a much more positive dialogue with Greenbelt and Nick and the site manager are doing their very best on behalf of residents. I would prefer we did not have a private management company but I can see Greenbelt are making strides to improve and put customers first.
Hi, I am urgently looking to get a response. I have emailed and called and heard nothing back yet. I am selling a house on Hooper Way in Tonna, Neath. A that I am waiting for is paperwork from Greenbelt. From reading other reviews on here I am petrified that it will all fall through and I could lose out on £1000s of pounds. I don't know what else to do put write on here hoping to get some sort of feedback.
I don’t know what to do. We found out when staircasing our property to 100% that Greenbelt had a hold on the title deed. After paying the fee to release it and the solicitor providing the necessary documents we completed on the house to own it fully in April 2021. Due to a change in circumstances we had to put the house on the market almost straight away. We managed to get our application at HM Land Registry expedited due to the circumstances but they currently have the application on hold because we still haven’t received the certificate of compliance from Greenbelt yet... it’s been approx 2 months... The solicitor has tried contacting them via email (no response yet), I’ve tried contacting them via email (I’ve tried 5 separate email addresses and no response yet). I’ve tried calling (apparently the legal teams phone line is no longer in use because they are so busy) and the customer services person I spoke (whilst lovely) said that only the legal team can help me with my request. Both us and the solicitor have emailed multiple times stating how urgent the situation is. We have been told that if we don’t receive the Certificate of Compliance by tomorrow our buyers are going to pull out which means we both lose the sale of our property and the purchase of our new property. I am sick with worry because I don’t know what else to do, I’ve tried everything I can possibly think and I have a feeling it’s all going to come crashing down tomorrow because the company that manages the land of the estate hasn’t responded to a single email in 2 months... it seems ludicrous to me that this company has that much power in this process and after all the hurdles we’ve jumped through it’s all going to come to an end tomorrow because of this (unless by some small miracle they get back to us with it tomorrow). Sharing my experience now with no real expectation anything will come from it, but thought it best people know our experience UPDATE: I can’t believe it, we received the certificate of compliance today! Excellent news going into the weekend and a massive weight lifted off our shoulders (hence the update from 1 to 4 stars)
I live on a Greenbelt site and I am very fortunate to have access to a large open space, woodlands and lovely walks on my doorstep, I've never had an issue with their customer services department and always found them to be polite and helpful. Keep it up.
This company are responsible for undertaking the landscaping at Blake’s Mead estate in Felpham West Sussex. Since moving in 5 years ago I have raised concerns about the lack of landscaping undertaken. And have been told on numerous occasions “it has been done to a satisfactory standard”. Well I have videos and photos showing NOTHING has been done in the areas they say they have done. I have been in conversation with a manager who’s name green belt have asked me to remove but he is a customer care officer. Funny how company’s don’t like honestly and you can freely google this mans name and job I have basically told them to take me to court. With the evidence I have they can not win. No replies have been forthcoming when I have said take me to court but they just keep saying it’s done. So we are in a circle. I will not give my details yet until Green Belt post there reply then I will post the honest answers to there post. Thanks Marc for the reply. As you will know from my last email to you. With video attached. The area in the video has not been touched and as mentioned in my video for over a year. As you are so keen to make it look like you have done the work I will over the weekend do a full video of all the areas under your concern. And post them to you via email again. This review is now doing the rounds on the Blake’s mead Facebook page and I’m sure more negative reviews will be forthcoming. Cut the grass Remove the rubbish Remove the dog poo hanging on the bushes All part of your remit. Do not ask me to contact the council again. We are paying your company to do that job. Bring it on Green Belt.
Never had a problem with greenbelt until now… Always thought they have done a good job keeping our estate maintained but now we are in the process of selling our house they have become a pain! Myself and my solicitor have been trying to contact them since the start of may. Though we did get a response to an initial email we have since had nothing. Getting through to them is impossible! This has caused a delay on my sale and chain. We were meant to complete last week but are still waiting on a reply from greenbelt. Nightmare!!!!!!!
How are these cowboys even allowed to function, it's like they don't exist and when they actually arrive a bunch of nursery children could do a better job. The company is purely set up to make profit not manage open spaces just pure profit. There owner is probably sat on a cruise somewhere in the Mediterranean whilst greenbelt commit daylight robbery of there spaces. The government need to get involved and shut these cowboys down.
Honestly this company is a joke i never see them on the estate, There is fly tipping that they haven't even sorted out and how can they justify there Cost on Bills, and 40 pound admin fee for what sending me a rip off bill which is online,
The password c216 turned out to be c2l6 it took me 4 phone calls to establish this. No one was available to answer the previous calls. The system kicked me out because I entered the password 3 times even though I only entered it once. I suggest you simplify your password.
Have never had an issue with greenbelt and they maintain our development very well. We are in the process of selling our house and my solicitor has been trying to contact them for around 3 weeks now with no response. I have also tried calling and have not gotten through which is causing a delay on my sale and chain!!!
Appalling company. In the process of selling my house & the queries raised by solicitor have been outstanding for 3 months!!!! We have emailed & rang repeatedly the customer care team along with other people in the organisation and literally no response! Absolutely disgraceful
Never had a problem with this company. The people working there are very knowledgable and helpful.
Great work. Happy with the service.
Very poor service Greenbelt do not carry out the annual maintenance at my location. It is a company called Russel landscapes. They seem to get off with anything. It would not surprise me if A Greenbelt supervisor had never visited Kinmundy Heights in Peterhead . The grass they are allegedly maintaining is at waist height and has enveloped the boundary fence of my property
Greenbelt are cowboys Greenbelt are cowboys, standards of work are not adhered to whilst at the same time they charge for site inspections that never occur. Still waiting 8 years for them to finish a fence on the development which has been left in an unsafe condition. Avoid at all costs. repsonse on the below - after numerous contacts they are very hostile company. fence was removed after 9 years but no replacement so now just large hole. rest of development is a dump so supervisory visits must be completed by a man in blindfold....
I have always found Greenbelt to be proactive knowledge and approachable. The entire operations team all fully horticultural trained and helpful Can't recommend them highly enough
Very helpful and friendly
Great service!! Guys on site always do a good job and any time I have ever had a problem it has always been dealt with swiftly.
Just had a bit of turfing done. A few local lads turned up and decided to rearrange it all over the place. Chap with a clip board turned up to obviously evaluate the job. He not only sorted out the jigsaw puzzle and put it back but it was just as tidy as his team had done previously. I wish all people took a pride in their job like this guy. Well done.
Overcharged and enforced. Daylight robbery
