We're buying a house and hoping to complete in mid-September. However, Greenbelt is proving incredibly hard for the vendor's solicitor to reach. The solicitor has received a canned response and been told to expect 20 days response time from Greenbelt. Not being able to get the management documents from the company into the hands of the solicitors is holding up the whole deal, and putting our completion date (and purchase) in doubt. Not being able to speak to a Greenbelt representative is infuriating. Who can we speak to to resolve this?

Recently having dealt with Nick Upton as Greenbelt I can only say that he has gone above and beyond to work with me and residents to resolve a difficult situation for residents. Nick was quick to respond, took ownership of the situation and kept me updated all the way through to a resolution. It has been a pleasure to work with him on this and resulting in a satisfactory outcome for my residents.

Terrible customer service. Already pay council tax and are entitled to get the same services as everyone else? Think again. You have to pay extra. You can’t call the local council for fly tipping they refuse the service because Greenbelt “manage” it. So you have to pay extra for every Tom dick and Harry who use /vandalise/fly tip on the estate you live on. Council saves money not giving you the service you pay for and Greenbelt charge you extra, and more extras admin fees, so called site inspections to inspect the work of the contractors that they tender the work out to. It’s a money making cash cow. I have had my bills in dispute for at least 4 years. Do not expect any response from them, they never reply and then have the cheek to charge “late payment fees” on bills they issue in advance ! It has already been established in a court that they can not charge late payment fees, yet they continue to do so. The bills are uncapped and unregulated. Greenbelt have a detrimental effect on house sales. Buyers often pull out of house sales because Greenbelt have written themselves into your house deeds. In regards to Greenbelts reply My bills have been in dispute for 4 years as you very well know. You can not charge late payment fees as you very well know. A court case proves this as you very well know. As for your “we offer a specialised service” it’s not offered! It’s written in to peoples house deeds!!!! They have no choice no say on anything. That’s not an offer. You have not reviewed any photos or work carried out, if you have the. You acknowledge my dispute which you say you have no knowledge of? The government will intervene the people are starting to fight back so Land maintenance companies like Greenbelt can stop holding people hostage for land that you own and expect residents to pay for. It’s land that can not be built on. It’s land that belongs to you. Residents have no rights to it. Why should residents pay extra to you for fly tipping when they already pay council tax just like non land managed households who can access that service with local councils but get being on a new/newish build estate we are refused that service. Where is our council tax discount for having a private land management ? According to the council the grass cutting, other services we can not access would not be worth knocking money off yet your services are charged so much for? That’s not a fair policy. It’s a way to make more money out of freehold property owners after purchasing their homes. The people on the estates are forced to have Greenbelt. It was not our decision, and you are monopolising on the situation. I have never signed or agreed to Greenbelt as a land management, our original plan of our property/ estate does not have your land outlined on it. You sent a new plan with it on. The original plans with our sale does not include or mirror your plan provided much later. Very sneaky of you!

If I could rate them 0 I would. They are supposed to maintain our communal green area on our estate and every year they fail to do so. Residents continually email and phone whoever they can get hold of and we get fobbed off until the very end of the summer when they will half heartedly send someone out to prune and cut until another year goes past! This is unacceptable it is a green space for the community to enjoy and for children to safely play and they continually fail to safely maintain it and it now is severely overgrown, hedges are over growing onto footpaths and it has toxic hogweed on it. This is the worst maintenance team I have ever had the misfortune to deal with and I'm sorry they have the contract.... Wish they didn't! Horrendous company to deal with!

Since “selling our home” in June which requires Greenbelt to issue a certificate of conformity as part of the covenant. Our solicitors have chased virtually daily Greenbelt to issue the certificate. After more than 2 months Greenbelt has failed to even respond to out solicitors, Estate agent, myself. Solicitors have in writing informed them they are jeopardising the sale and purchase of 3 properties. Response ZERO. This so called company is outrageous. So for a annualservicd charge of circa £200 which has been diligently paid for 13 years they are now holding at risk the sale and purchase of over £ 1.2 million of properties. Can anyone, myself, solicitors, estate agents get any form or response from Greenbelt. Simple answer id NO. Since my contact Marc has responded. Stating the first time our solicitors contacted them was July 21st. This is the email sent by our solicitors stating Greenbelts lack of response is prejudicing the completion of the properties. What he omits to mention is our solicitors provenly had sent since early June the request to issue the certificate of conformity numbering several. Together with numerous telephone calls on the same subject. Should this be disputed I shall have no hesitation in requesting our solicitors to publish every letter, email and telephone recorded call. Your decision Greenbelt. Tell the truth or face the publication of every item, which will legally prove, your company does not tell the truth. No excuses, do it or we shall do exactly what we say. Or take the decision to appear in court, which will prove you lie.

They do not do their job. The hedge of my front door has now blocked the passage no way to walk through, the car park is full of trees and hedges, only came once last year, and now its summer the hedge will be growing everyday. Having lots of insects and bites on the walls. Won't recommend at all.

Greenbelt is the worst company it is my misfortune to deal with. Their idea of annual inflation is nearly 15 times the normal rate of around 2.5%. Why is this allowed year after year. We are at their mercy. How many workers and retired people get annual increases of this magnitude. If it was your power or internet supplier acting this way, you could either go elsewhere, or the annual increase would be capped at a reasonable level. The government needs to take urgent action against these robber barons. There is no point in contacting Greenbelt for an explanation, when they only reiterate the built-in gross unfairness of their scheme. I live in the smallest/cheapest house on the estate they "manage", yet I pay much more than some of my neighbours. I don't even have an allocated parking space, but have to pay for upkeep of the drainage area in the car park at the back of my property. I do not have a garden or any gates, fences, hedges or grassed areas around my property. An equitable way of calculating payment for Greenbelt fees, would be one based on rateable value, as is council tax.

I moved out of my house at the end of May and the solicitor informed Greenbelt. We have since received a bill for the next year and now a late payment charge as we did not pay it as we no longer live there. I have contacted customer support over the last 4 weeks and no reply. Is this review the only way to get a response??

New build Maintainace Company, standard dont give a **** attitude just give us money. Picking up the litter doesn't mean chop in to tiny pieces when your mowing the patchwork of weeds (because theres barely any grass in the so called grassy areas). EDIT: below response makes out that this is a recent problem and that concerns have been addresed. This is not the case my inital contact was on 08/04/21 so its been nearly 3 months and nothing has changed, Standard empty promises never filled, absolute joke of a company.

Don't deserve one star but won't let me give zero! If 25% increase since we moved in isn't enough being billed and extra £1500+ for unknown damaged kerb on our estate is disgusting! No explanation, no name on the letter, no reply in 6 weeks. This company care about nothing but making money!

Again greenbelt send me another yearly bill but again aren’t dealing with my query of charging outside of my title deeds! What I find astonishing is the amount of positive feedbacks that have recently appeared on here lately! They are rude and ignore me and the work they do is appalling I wish I could publish pictures.

I had a couple of questions to ask about the proposed weeding of our local field. Marc Higgins was really helpful. He dealt with my queries promptly and in a very friendly manner.

Again the Greenbelt Group Limited has saved my bacon, when there was absolutely no skin in the game for them to do so. I cannot thank Adam Cooper enough for his swift and diligent action when infact he did not have to help us at all. Adam you are amazing and the 'little people' like really appreciate what you do for us. I was on the brink of loosing my house deal and you rescued us. We are eternally grateful. We literally do not know how to thank you. When I saw your email tonight I literally broke down and cried from shear relieve and absolute humble gratefulness that somebody like you will be so helpful when you could have put me through a pile of paperwork. You Sir are like Tina Turner says .......... SIMPLY THE BEST. And I hope one day I can be of service to you or somebody else helps you when you need it. What an absolute STAR. I really really am so very humbled and gratefull.

I have been utterly disappointed with Greenbelt since 2006. They promise and assure me on each time I contact them and then simply deny that they made any promises at all. The bills they send are fictional and I can prove that they charged us for work not done or charged unbelievable costs for very minor repairs but again they they simply lie when contacted. It is shocking that we pay council tax and on top paybthem double for doing nothing.

As a residents' association we have an excellent relationship with Greenbelt Group Ltd who manage some of the open green spaces and play areas in Hamilton (Leicester). We frequently find that complaints about land management in Hamilton are misdirected to Greenbelt. This is because there are multiple organisations managing the land e.g. Exclusive Property Management (aka Woodlands Amenity Management) and Leicester City Council and its not always clear which organistaion is managing which area of the land. This is an area we are working with Greenbelt to help clarify. We have a good relationship with our Customer Liaison Officer Nick Upton. He really appreciates the value of Community Cohesion and is always willing to help whenever we ask. Whether it's a contribution to our Community Newsletter, a helping hand with our Community Litter picks or attendance at our Committee meetings. Nick always goes the extra mile! Also most importantly we have amazing innovative SUDS managed by Greenbelt Group, which has helped us feel safe during the storms.

Received bill from Greenbelt, the breakdown of account is a joke. Woodland inspection £330.00. No woodland exists. Remove dead Tree £400 yet another lie, go on google street view the same 6 poplar trees are there and that is an image from at least 6 years ago, Greenbelt is part of David Wilson homes, the breakdown of works carried out is a complete fabrication this is a major scam by David Wilson homes and Barrat group.

Have tried to contact green belt group on 2 occasions ( 17 & 27 May 2021 ) without success. The amenity land outside of a play area directly in-front of my house has not been maintained for over 6 years. I have been re turfing/ cutting and maintaining the area at my own cost as it directly affects the enjoyment of my property. The play area is derelict with weeds nearly 5ft high! There has now been a metal barrier padlocked to the entrance making it look even worse as if that was possible!
