£35 delivery to get laptop back after sending it to them as under warranty, they also didn't fix my corrupted windows saying that it's my fault for installing antivirus, so wasn't included in the warranty.

The laptop has arrived today. First impressions are very positive. It looks like new, everything works as expected and seems to be to the specifications ordered. Only downside so far was the delivery timescales which were substantially longer than advertised. Looking at other reviews this seems to be a recurring theme. Perhaps the Gadget Centre needs to be a bit more realistic. Maybe underpromise and over deliver rather than the other way around.

Product and pricing wise this company is good. The reason why have left such a low star rating is how misleading they are. Do not believe in timeframes showing on their website. It is false. They wait until an order is placed on the website, then once a customer complains they send a pre written email (it seems to be standard practice) to say that due to back orders they will have long delays in getting the products out to customers. Realistically expect order lead times to measured in weeks not days. Such a shame that a company providing a great affordable laptop service is so blatantly and deliberately misleading to their customers. The worst part is that even though they are 100% aware of the issue - they still do not update their marketing to reflect the honest truth.
When you are selecting the components you want to build your laptop the Gadget Centre ordering process makes it easy to compare the parts you are selecting to make your dream machine with what is actually needed and with what is available elsewhere, it also gives you time to double-check that what you are about to order is value for money compared to what other companies can offer. Other companies I checked out for laptops just weren’t so flexible. With regard to the laptop I ended up with - I am really happy with it, I got a better spec than I thought I would be able to afford at about half the price a new one would have cost and for a few extra quid I have a 3 year warranty.
Appliance arrived, & have managed to transfer all items from my old tower computer. However there was NO handbook of info to explain what the external ports are for, & what can be fitted into them. Plus no Mod No etc, to Google the info.
Excellent service. Wanted a new laptop as mine was getting on a bit, had heard of Gadget Centre so thought I'd give them a try and they were great. Very well priced, easy to navigate site, slightly delayed on getting the laptop out but that was a parts issue, laptop is working as expected, 10/10.
