Ordered my laptop 5 months ago. No point in reviewing it then. Waited until I used it for a few (5) months. I ordered i7 processor with 16G ram and 256gb ssd storage (don't require more as I save everything on portable storage) It came well packaged and within the time they stated. The appearance is as new and still only takes 10 secs to boot up. Really pleased with the performance. I did buy the 3-year warranty as it was excellent value but it looks like I may not need it. I would certainly buy from them again.

Bought for my family member who is into photography and required an update on his current machine. Went for the i7, 1TB ssd drive and 16 gb of ram as the software he uses is quite labor intensive. Paid half of what the big firms wanted and the laptop hasnt disappointed in any aspect - would defo use again and recommend

Great product, laptop arrived with the specs as requested. The outer casing was HP and had very minor scuffs on, nothing outside of usual wear and tear and did not look at all bad. As advertised the lap fires up extremely quickly, no complaints. Ordered on 26th November delivered on 4th December. Thanks guys and gals

Laptop was received in 9 working days. Well packaged. I7 Chip, 16g Ram, 500g SSD plus DVD, 3 USB ports as requested - all for £380. Works beautifully, boots up in under 30 seconds. A far cry from my HP Laptop of 2009, which was state of the art when I bought it!! A small company, which will only get bigger based on my experience. Be a bit patient on delivery and you will be delighted with the result.

Bought a hi-spec laptop and got it within the time frame agreed (staff shortages) I am very impressed with the laptop, runs like a brand new one! Anyone wanting a great laptop built to your specs, these are the people you should buy it from. 3yr warranty, hi-end specs, all working fantastically. Highly recommended!

On-line system enables you to specify the specification and warranty you want. Delivery included by courier with very secure packaging. Laptop is completely refurbished and appears as new yet at a cost significantly below a new device. My only (slight) issue was the lack of phone contact and delay in response to emails due it is stated to staff resource shortages. However, the quality of the product more than mitigates this.

I Never thought that you could get a computer built with top spec for less than £425 with a 3year warranty. The whole process from start to finish was extremely fast and very easy to order. I must say that I searched on the big companies sites but to be honest the Gadget Centre blew them out of the water. When delivered the computer looked brand new with not a mark on it. The Spec I ordered has performed exceptionally well. It is extremely fast and from what i have experienced so far I can't wait to put it to work. This is a small company but it is taking on the big boys and in my opinion winning. I give them top marks and would recommend them.

Excellent service from start to finish very intuitive website with lots of different options and price points. The laptop I received was refurbished to an excellent standard and delivery was extremely fast. Will definitely buy again.

If I could give zero stars I would, I spent £389.00 on a refurbished PC from this place. Now I understand the laptops themselves are second hand, but my screen was pulling away, keyboard was extremely dirty and case as a whole was so scratched and damaged it was as if it got thrown down a flight of stairs, the laptop took 3 weeks to get to me from the date of order, when I brought it to gadget centres attention, fair enough they said they're 'not sure how it slipped through, and that I would get a replacement within 5 days on me sending it back, I sent it back on 1/10, which fair enough is a Saturday, but I tried to contact them on 3 separate occasions as they had the laptop back and I hadn't received a notification of it being shipped to me, this went on until the 26/10 with no response, I went to my bank to get the refund, and they have the audacity to ask why? DONT USE THIS COMPANY!! I can't stress this enough

I am so pleased with my new computer. Built to my specifications so no compromises. Amazing value and quick service. I am so chuffed I can't resist not telling my friends about Gadget Centre.

Placed my order Oct 16th and was delivered 28th Oct. Twice the spec at half the price of what you can get at well known chain stores. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending. Cheers lads 👌

The ordering process is really slick and straight forward, build your laptop using the specs available and the GC drop brand new components into an old chassis, which is a great concept. They then also, very slickly accept your order and then your money and that is where the slick operation ended, took a month and when the machine arrived it wasn't the correct speck and the battery was useless, however...Gadget Centre got back to me, sent me a brand new battery and gave me a partial refund to account for the missing hardware, hence redeeming themselves. I initially gave a 1 star because of said issues and very slow communication. The long and short is, they're struggling with staff and they have a brilliant produce so cut them a little slack, they will eventually deal with you and you'll get a really good machine. If you're in a hurry for a laptop, contact them first to see if they can cope. I'm now totally satisfied, if there weren't the initial snags, I would have given 5 stars.

Excellent choice to build to your own specifications and great advice on their website. The laptop arrived well packaged and ready to go I unpacked it and opened it up and it booted up within 20sec much faster than my old one. The software loaded has everything you need to start. An excellent product provided with brilliant communication at every stage of the process

Received my laptop 2 weeks after ordering. It was broken so was immediately sent back; though took another 2 days to get the return information. It is now 3 weeks after ordering and I have no laptop and had no information when it will be sent to me. In addition I ordered accessories at the same time and they've not been received or even confirmed as being dispatched yet. Edit: finally received my laptop into the 5th week after ordering. It is decent and you can't really tell it is refurbished. The speed on start up isn't fantastic but once it is up and running the performance is very good so far. 4* for the laptop 2* for the customer service and communication

Brilliant. Laptop arrived a little late(understandable as they are a small business just trying to stand up). It was looking almost new - just a few scratches maybe!! But a functional laptop at such a price while reducing environment impact of e-waste. I feel so good!

2ND UPDATE (01Dec22): After notifying Gadget Centre that I wanted to return the 2nd laptop for a refund on 19 Nov & having chased them on 23 Nov, allowing them the 48 to 74 working hours their automated email response requests, I'm still waiting for them to contact me. It feels like a credit chargeback will be the only means of obtaining a refund for the unsatisfactory product & poor experience to date. Bearing in mind that my 1st order was placed early in October, it's almost 2 months since I decided I wanted a new laptop. I feel I'm justified in having run out of patience... UPDATE (19Nov22): First laptop wasn't working, so I had to email Gadget Centre (they don't answer their phone) to arrange for a replacement, which arrived on 17 Nov. My original order date was 8 Oct '22. This replacement worked, but was big, heavy & poor quality, with an unstable keyboard, multiple scuffs & scratches. It booted up fairly quickly, but the keypad was quite clunky. That combination of factors & the overall experience mean that I've decided to return it for a refund & I'll buy something newer & sleeker. Gadget Centre, when they do communicate, are open, honest & apologetic, but they've clearly overstretched themselves. They aren't the 1st company to be guilty of increasing sales before they ensure they have the infrastructure & resource to cope & they won't be the last. From the look of earlier reviews, they have clearly done a good job for past customers, but I wouldn't currently recommend them...
