I can thoroughly reccomend this company, the reconditioned laptop works like a dream and was VERY reasonably priced. I bought a top of a range machine which would have cost me £1000 plus new. Despite minor hiccups caused by staffing issues I believe, they were polite and responded to me well. I will use them again

Laptop arrived well packaged. Excellent product, all working as it should and everything installed as ordered. Would definitely recommend. Very busy company so orders taking slightly longer but worth the wait and we'll priced

Waiting times are longer that the website promises, as they seem to have some staff shortage. However, anything else is brilliant! People, please, stop complaining about some wear and tear you may find on the case or battery not performing as new! They are REFURBISHED machines for at least HALF THE PRICE of the new ones! I received mine after just under 2 weeks of waiting, it suits my needs. I installed my favourite Linux on it and it just "flies". Battery is ok, but even if it wouldn't be, I would simply order new one from Amazon. Gadget Centre does reply to emails, but it takes 2-3 days. They are reasonable and hard working team. Thanks for your work!

A few days after the repaired laptop was shipped, the company contacted me about a dead laptop battery. They informed me that they didn't know anything about it and sent a new laptop battery in no time. A very professional approach, for which I am very grateful. For this reason, I am also updating my opinion on this company. A company worth recommending, very good quality product, I will definitely use them again in the future

Laptop is excellent and as specified. Was nervous buying reconditioned tech but very satisfied. Will buy my next laptop from them again. Only negative was it arrived slower than I had hoped but I suppose I should have expected that being a smaller business.

I was thinking about a replacement laptop and came across their advert on facebook. Ordering was easy. It came quickly and as described. Works great.

Great laptop. High spec's so far so good. Laptop is in very good condition you would not know it is a refurbished one. Comes with windows 11 already on it. From when order was received took just over a week. Bought to replace an old 9 year old laptop. Well done all at Gadget Centre keep up the great work.

Hi Spec laptop for around 60% saving on new. Slightly slower delivery than expected which appears not to have been addressed for a long time! Good visual quality (graphite foil wrapped screen is nice touch) Battery life a bit short and this too seems to be pre reported so the company could at least offer a new one as an upgrade. Personally I would have loved for the detailed specs to be printed out for my review, after all a buyer becomes the owner so its not a secret is it. I'm not sure how the 3 year warranty I purchased will stand up if I decided to upgrade any of the components for myself, and I believe the breaking of warranty seals for this purpose has been accepted in UK courts as reasonable. Only 4 stars as I don't think the actual specs should be a secret But i did know what I was doing when I bought it

For around £350, I received a laptop of a spec that’d cost me over £850 to equal brand-new. Easy online specifying and pricing process, smooth transaction, and it arrived within a fortnight, (as their popularity had ensured a massive order backlog) and I’m pleased with the almost instant start-up time and blisteringly quick performance. There are some very cheap extended warranty options too. However, I can’t quite give it five stars because… The Gadget Centre’s MO is to put together a bespoke, speedy, high-spec laptop using good-quality brand-new components, assembled and built into the chassis of an old non-functioning laptop. This is a great idea from an environmental point of view, but the machine I received was built upon an 11 year old Toshiba chassis, whose original design dates back to the turn of the century, and is getting on for 4cm thick. (Also, the speaker is so tinny, any kind of vid-call sounds like I’m chatting to Smurfs, so a headset is essential for chats & viewing media) A friend who also got a laptop from GC, was pleased to receive one in a slick 10 year-old Dell chassis that is 2.2cm thick, so there is an element of ‘luck of the draw’ with what you get. Nobody has manufactured a close-fitting protective laptop case for anything thicker than 2 to 2.5cm for over a decade, so my existing (rather expensive) hard-case is useless, replacement impossible, and travelling with the thing is going to be a ballache. So, I’ve got a Ferrari engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and steering; shoehorned into the chassis of a lumpy old truck that, although it performs like a sportster, won’t fit in my garage, and is going to be a pain to park anywhere. Conclusion: Great idea if you’re on a tight budget, or don’t want to risk your shiny £1000+ laptop in perilous situations or with younger accident-prone children. Good ethical company, high-quality product for an unmatchably low price; but maybe they need to introduce a ‘nothing thicker than 2.5cm’ rule when selecting old laptops to raise from the dead, in the same way Dr Frankenstein should have been a bit more choosy when sourcing a brain for his experiment.

I have purchased a laptop off Gadget Centre which I saw advertised on Facebook, I had been watching it for a few weeks, as I had three laptops from a reputable company which let me down, I decided to give Gadget Centre ago. I received it, it was well packed and delivered when they said it would be, I have used it for a couple of weeks now and it has turned out to be working well, fast as they said it would be. I can say that I am pleased it and it is better than I hoped and a lot cheaper than the ones I have had to return to the other supplier well done Gadget Centre.

Saw an advert by Gadget Centre on FB, and was sceptical around refurbished tech equipment, but I needed a new laptop urgently and being able to spec it myself exactly meant I could tailor to my budget. Ordering was easy, and with the opportunity I was able to spec a much better laptop than had i bought new via traditional outlet routes. Only took just over a week to turnaround the order and I now have had an excellent laptop, exactly as I specified, for the last month. I would recommend this buying route via Gadget Centre to anyone as my unit is so far as good as new and for half the cost.

Great value laptop with software loaded and a good warranty. Well worth it for someone who wants a practical laptop, and is passionate about recycling!

I thought at first this was too good to be true but everything surpassed what I could buy locally ! I checked Trust Pilot and safeguarded my purchase by paying by credit card. I liked being able to request what spec I needed and was delighted with 60 day money back and also the selected 3year warranty. I understood that the casing would not be brand new! The laptop arrived on the date and in the delivery time slot- well packaged and hardly a mark on the casing. Delighted with the instant access to internet and it has had lots of use since it arrived two weeks ago. The battery charges fully and is working well. So far so good.

I waited a couple weeks before posting a review, just to make sure everything was working and I can honestly say I am 100% happy with my laptop. I was a little nervous buying from a newer online store but after reading the positive reviews, I took the plunge. Admittedly, I was after a couple of specific components in my ideal laptop and the customizable options on the site were a breeze to navigate with a really good selection. Being a little bit of a nervous buyer, I reached out to Gadget centre's support email and they got back to me immediately and made me feel a lot more confident in what was going on. The laptop came well packaged with instructions in both writing and in a note on the homepage regarding maintenence, use etc. It works like a dream and honestly I couldn't be happier :) Honestly, if your looking for reviews on whether or not to buy from gadget centre, do it. I love my new laptop. (Ps I have named her Patty)
