Orangery Installation. Having agreed a price that I was comfortable with, after receiving a ridiculous first quote, we had an orangery installed by Dunraven February 2018. What seemed like a straightforward installation soon turned into the installation from hell, not for us but for the bricklayers. The ground surrounding my house is clay which resulted in the footings for the orangery being dug the same depth as the house all of 3 meters. I must admit I was concerned when I saw a massive hole appear in the garden. However, my concerns soon diminished, as the grounds men in particular, Luke and Jason worked endlessly to get the footings in. The weather was against them, having to pump water out of the hole every morning before they could start working. They were professional at all times and kept me up to date with progress, they even apologised for the hole! After the footings were in and the walls built the Dunraven guys were like a tag team, the installation team arrived promptly and worked so efficiently with the electricians and then the plasters’. I was so impressed with the work ethic of all the workers. We were not hanging around waiting for them to turn up, they always turned up with they said they would. The product speaks for itself it is sturdy, of quality and very stylish. I would not hesitate recommending or using Dunraven in the future, if a jobs worth doing do it right and they certainly did. They even put my garden back together. First class job so very pleased with the end result.

Dunraven built a utility/conservatory room for us in November 2017. Their team were very friendly & efficient. The work was done to a high standard & completed within the time scale. I would highly recommend them

Conservatory conversion Dunraven provided a replacement insulated roof for our conservatory and knocked out the wall between the conservatory and the adjoining room creating a light and spacious garden room. The whole team were very friendly, courteous, cheerful and considerate and did an excellent job. We were informed throughout the whole process who would turn up when and some minor changes requested even when they had finished and we had paid were immediately resolved and completed. Very happy and wouldn't hesitate recommending this company.

I have received very poor experience from the Dunraven door-to-door sales people in the past but had a very pleasant person knock on my door today. In spite of the history I was willing to give them a chance to quote on a conservatory and windows (something I had been thinking about for some time but just hadn't got around to doing so). I received a call from their office this evening to make an appointment but was told that they would be unable to offer me a quote as only I would be in attendance at the appointment. I assured the call centre lady that I would be the person making the decision and putting my name on the contract but she was having none of it. I asked to speak to a manager and was called back about 10 mins later by Mark. Once again I was informed that it was not company policy to meet with only one party as they have experienced an individual having "a change of design" after discussing it with their partner. Any normal person spending a certain amount of money is going to discuss the quote with another party (family/friend etc) and potentially change the design - you never usually get it 100% correct in that first visit. However because their sales team move to different geographical areas once they have exhausted their appointment dates in one area then they do not want to have to return to re-quote (thus saving them time/money). Once again I assured Mark that I would be the decision maker, the contract signer and the bill payer, so no other person need be in attendance but of course I will be discussing the quote with other people before reaching a final decision, just like buying a car or a house. I had already checked and read through Dunraven's Ts & Cs and there is no mention of this stipulation in either their quote guidelines/advisories (there are none) or in any small print. In spite of this I was consistently told that they are a successful family-run company and they do not have to include this stipulation or request in their Ts & Cs and as such it is not legally binding. However it is a suggestion made at the time of making the appointment. If it is only a suggestion, which I would be turning down, then why not quote? I've heard of companies using the couple to bounce extras off each other so they can get a bigger sale, and single home owners are seen as easy pray as there is no-one else in attendance to get advice or bring down a quote easily. Is Dunraven one of these such companies? The Company was visiting 2 doors away to give a quote so they would hardly be going out of their way, however they were prepared to turn down potential business because their recommendation of having both parties attend the "quote meeting" would not be met. I cannot believe that this Company can behave in an unpractical and unprofessional manner and definitely one to avoid.

Don’t ever consider using these- not even for a quote. Once they have your number your phone will not stop ringing. Complain several times- it doesn’t make a difference. They’ll just go quiet for a few months then start again. They use loads of different numbers to call so blocking them is fruitless. 2200 in a Sunday, 0700 on Saturday- no problems, these guys are there to ring you, catch you unawares and ruin your day. The first time my 3yo daughter ever heard the f-word was just now, i’ve Finally cracked. dunraven have tipped me over the edge.

Conservatory Replacement. We have recently had our 20 year old conservatory replaced. We requested a visit from the sales department at Dunraven, and received excellent service and advise. We proceeded to go ahead with the replacement, and found the contract staff both friendly and helpful. The work programme was very short, but all concerns were dealt with and the installation went to plan. The removal of the old conservatory, and installation of the new was very professional. The new conservatory is of the highest standard, and the difference in the heat loss from the roof is amazing, a glass roof system is definitely the way to go. All of the old materials and any general rubbish was cleared away, we did not find any bits anywhere in the garden or on the drive. Our general impression of Dunraven is as a first class company with excellent staff and a very professional approach to the client. We would recommend Dunraven to anybody and are happy to endorse the work carried out. Mr P Venn Cardiff.

We visited the Malvern flower show in May 2017, and came across Dunraven selling windows and conservatory we arranged a visit at home,to quote along with other companies as we wanted to have a conservatory installed. The process was very good and everything explained and priced in a proper manner. The only downside was we had to wait until October for the installation October came and the install was completed on time and to a very high spec. we had a couple of niggles that required rework these were done very quickly and to our satisfaction we are delighted with our purchase and we are very happily spending long periods even though it is winter time in the new room, we would recommend Dunraven, on our purchase we paid for the reflective glass that keeps heat out in summer and retains the heat in the winter we have been pleasantly surprised at how good this has been to date

After an aggressive sales pitch to my elderly mother insisting on a cheque there and then (or the deal was off) the front door was installed some time later. We were told later that the door could be bought for about £350, so nearly a grand to fit it. The letter box brush fell off. We were told by customer service to throw it away as it wasn't needed! The door now sticks badly (after seasonal lubrication) Big problem, is the sales boys have been back and told three times to clear off, but still they return. I heard/saw a handful of them during on of their 'hits', recently, having a salesy-hissy-fit in the company van turning the air blue wit 'f' & 'c' words! (and illegally smoking in a company vehicle) On of the sales boys was dumbfounded when I told him to get off the property, at first refusing to leave. ##Message to Dunraven## Any further visits will be considered harassment. Stay away, as next time there will be legal action! But, of course, know that you do this and I would wager, you don't care!?

We recently had our front windows replaced with Dunraven on realizing how good the product is we decided to have a conservatory built. The design is excellent, very well engineered and all the tradesmen of all different trades were all very friendly and professional. All promises made were kept and all expectations were met and often exceeded. We now have an exceptional addition to our garden and house. We are extremely pleased if and when we need any other work done we will certainly use Dunraven. The office staff kept us informed of the itinerary so we knew what to expect at all times. Would surely recommend the company.

I have now used Dunraven on three occasions the most recent three weeks ago when they fitted three windows and patio doors. Each time I have been very pleased with the quality of the product, the attitude of the fitters and the costs. As regards the quality of the work a FENSA reviewer checking an earlier fitting was very complimentary about the quality of Dunraven's work compared to that done by some larger well known companies. Where Dunraven does fall down badly is in what can only be termed as harassment of customers in it's attempt to drum up further business. Following the first installation the number of calls got so bad that I had to complain directly to the managing director before the calls stopped. Unfortunately the embargo on calls did not last for long. Since the last work was done only three weeks ago I have already had two calls from them enquiring about any further work required. It is clear that the company either doesn't have adequate office procedures in place to control calls to customers or more likely couldn't care less. It is a shame that this colours my view of the company and if it were not for the frequent calls I would have given a higher rating.

Commencing in June 2017, Dunraven replaced and fitted all the windows, back and front doors at my property. The work was carried out in a timely fashion earlier than promised and was completed to our delight and full satisfaction. The fitters worked with due care and diligence and completed the work in just two days. The entire fitting was carried out professionally and cannot be criticised in any way and neither can the quality of the actual windows and doors. As to problems reported in other reviews I have read, I reported a small window opening handle had seized. I telephoned and reported same at 11.0am on a Friday. A window technician attended just 90 minutes later and solved the problem. When you consider I live in Newport, the speed of the technician's arrival was commendable, particularly when it was a Friday. I was so impressed with the windows, I opted to have a conservatory fitted to my property. At this point I must say that I found neither the window sales rep nor the conservatory sales rep, "pushy," as implied in other reviews. Each one spent a long time explaining what was open to my wife and I and the price was negotiated. No deposit necessary. I was warned at point of sale that the work could not be commenced until November, 2017 due to the current demand. Our conservatory has now been committed, the work commencing on 7th November as promised. The sewer inspection access point had to be moved and this caused complications: the most important being the sewer was DWR and the team who were preparing the foundations and the removal of the sewer could not carry out the latter because of the sewer being subject to DWR regulations. Dunraven sent another company who was authorised to carry out such work to remedy the sewer work on behalf of DWR. This team encountered other problems which meant their work was prolonged but they would not leave until that work was fully completed. (The additional cost this would have incurred just had to be considerable. I was telephoned by Greg, of Dunraven, that this additional work would not cost me a penny. As promised, this work was completed as promised). It was very heartening to learn that there was no further costs to us and the call from Greg of Dunraven was made within a very short time of the problem with the sewer being indentified. This states a lot to the integrity of their customer care and professionalism. The conservatory was completed within two weeks of commencement of same, which was the estimate given at point of sale. There were couple of minor problems but again, Dunraven sorted them all out to our complete satisfaction. The end product is amazing and everyone who has come to see it, both neighbours, friends and family, think the conservatory is fantastic. Must commend all the different workers and fitters who carried out this work at my property. All were very cheerful, polite without being officious and very helpful, keeping my wife and I informed with all the were doing. They also took care of my property. Yes, there was dust when cutting the brickwork, but they kept it to a minimum. (The old adage, "you cannot make an omelette without cracking eggs." applies). I could have had windows and a conservatory fitted perhaps more cheaply than Dunraven but the products would not be of the same quality as Dunraven. I would not hesitate to recommend Dunraven to anyone having similar work under consideration.

Under no circumstances should you give any details to this company... ever. Roughly 7 years ago, we innocently gave our phone number to a sales rep when we were thinking about having a new front door. We decided not to use Dunraven, but 7 years on, we STILL get called. The latest was just now, at 7.30pm. This company truly harasses its potential clients and I have developed a severe allergic reaction to the word Dunraven. If I could give a zero rating for this company, I would Update- since writing this review and receiving the public reply here, I have not had a single communication from Dunraven windows. So, thank you Trust pilot for being the vehicle that resolved the issue and thank you dunraven, for finally removing my details from your database.

Avoid at all costs. Complete rip-off. High pressure sales. They'll come to see you and tell you they can do an amazing price for today only. Oldest trick in the book. Quoted £3800 then amazing price of £3100 if I signed today. I did but then cancelled it when I got a proper company in who quoted me £1300.

Hi Feedback Team Firstly I would just like to mention that the conservatory is attached to our kitchen with nothing separating the room . WE have had recently a brand new fitted kitchen together with walls plastered and painted and all the floor areas newly tiled . This was explained several times to staff at Dunraven in order to ensure all fitters were aware . The builders arrived on the Wednesday late as the address they were given was incorrect . I think it was the wrong postcode . They did cover the opening between kitchen and conservatory to stop most of the dust while doing cavity trays . However when they asked if we would like the protection left , which we of course said yes ,we did not realise that it meant all the dust and rubble would not be left as well . When a lady from the office called to check on the work I explained how it had been left and she said she would let the fitters know . Thursday fitters arrived late as they had been given the wrong post code . They were not happy with how it had been left, not informed . The cover between the kitchen and conservatory had come down which we asked for them to re cover . They also said that this was booked as a two day job - they wouldn’t have enough time- it was going to rain and they probably wont get the roof on in time- and also they should have had two teams of fitters . Their concerns worried me . They bashed the old conservatory down creating damage to conservatory walls. They did not put the cover back up and we returned home to dust everywhere in the kitchen , all over our brand new kitchen . My husband was very angry and asked them to put up something to protect the kitchen , which they did creating more holes and damage to our newly plastered walls and left later that same day leaving roof off , no protection and my inner cavity walls open to the elements . Electrical wires were left handing . My husband called the office and we received a call from Gareth Lewis who asked to come and see us the next day . That evening the heavens opened rain poured in . WE tried to protect as much as possible keeping water away from the live wires and sockets . My husband and I had no sleep and a very stressful night . The whole floor was covered in rain water , the new tiles were covered in water . The fitters turned up Friday fitted the rest of the conservatory and left at about 2 pm . All we can say is, it was a mess . Gaps were left with wind whistling through . The doors were not level . One of the windows were out of line . Silicone was a mess and all the dirt was stuck to it . etc etc etc . Plus the live electrical wires were still dangling . Gareth did call as promised and could see the mess and assured us that this would be rectified . We also had a visit from Wayne the following week who listened to what had happened and again assured us that this would be sorted . This was a disaster , we were very stressed and wished we had never had your company fit our conservatory . It was my birthday on the Saturday and the party was cancelled as live electrical dangling wires were unsafe , the conservatory looked like a war zone and to be honest we were both so low and totally disappointed . However what can I say . A few days later different fitters arrived who took the conservatory down and refitted it perfectly . They were polite , tidy and made us feel relaxed straight away . Gareth who I must say is brilliant, was in contact with us all the time ensuring we were happy . They finished the conservatory and it looked absolutely wonderful . Plasterers came in and re plastered the damaged walls. Painter and decorator arrived a few days later. The walls were painted with the same paint as previously used . The whole conservatory looks amazing and all we can say is Dunraven Thank you so very much . We are over the moon with what you have done . Yes you got it wrong but all I can say is ,you took out every stop to get the job finished to perfection . Gareth visited again on the last day to ensure we were happy and I was happy to shake his hand . The product was never in question and although it was stressful and upsetting especially as we had to take more days off from our annual leave , the end result is amazing and yes we would be happy to recommend you and your outstanding customer service to anyone . Regards Lynda and Andy Smith

The work and installers are faultless- really pleased- however the office staff, communication and organization is poor and wouldn’t order again- we ordered the conservatory in February to be fitted in October this week (9 months ago) and were told to take two days off work for the job to be done-so my husband did so in advance- the installers however had four to five days on their plans- which we found out when they turned up this week- my husband had to book time off last minute and use annual leave and he doesn’t know if he’ll get paid for it yet! - I have called the Bridgend office on several occasions and I asked to speak to the manager “Sean”. He hasn’t even had the decency to ring us to at least apologize! And check up on the job- He hasn’t returned my calls so I damned if I ring again!! - I love the product but everything else is useless! Don’t order from there - very rude!

It is always interesting reading the reviews on companies - lots of very happy people and lots of not so happy people. Firstly we never had the constant sales calls that people talk about so that was a bonus - they used a local canvasser who knocked the door. We agreed to speak to them as we had been looking to replace our stable door with a more robust and solid item for a while. A sales person was booked and turned up on time as planned. Firstly as with ANY company selling this type of product his job was to walk away with a sale... forget the "post me a fixed quote".. we knew it would not happen BUT he was very polite and prepared to walk away with no sale if it came to that. He stated that he did not want to spend hours pressure selling. In short we identified what we wanted and negotiated from there. I got down to a price that I could accept - was it expensive compared to other possible suppliers? - probably - but then I was looking for a solid product and a good efficient workman. Basically I made it clear that if it was not to my liking then they would not get paid. I chose to go with Dunraven as my previous research on the doors had shown that all companies offered similar products within a similar price range and as they met my needs I saw no point in getting further quotes. Could I have saved by doing that - probably - but I also risked have a potential poor sales experience with another compnay.... and wasted evenings... HOWEVER - do your research! Be prepared to get more than one quote! Be prepared to show the salesman the door if you are not happy! And just because he offers you the special one night only discount (if you sign up now) DO NOT for one minute think that he is doing you a favour. EVERY other company will do that every time if you push back on the first 3 or 4 offers that make. A salesman will be prepared to drop at least 30% versus the first number he quotes. Deal done it was arranged for the survey to be completed a few weeks later. Excellent chap carried out the survey who checked and re-checked the measurements fully and took lots of photos - but then advised that the door we had chosen was not available as a stable door - BUT he was quick to identify the best alternative - which was a better choice for us. We also reviewed the orignal colour choice and based on colour samples opted to change the colour as well. All agreed, paper work cross checked and fitting date identified! On the fitted day the chap arrived on time - he was very friendly and curtious. Extremely tidy in his work and determined to make sure he did a professional job. Before starting he checked all the measurements and that he had the right door, frame and parts to do the job. Only then did he take our old door out! He had planned to take awwy the old frame and door but I aksed him to leave it - no issues there. He worked very hard and - in my opinion - did a top job - he spent a lot of time ensuring that the door was set up correctly and fitted well - he gave me lots of advise on making any hinge or lock adjustments shoud we need to - but to be honest it does exactly what it should do!! He left our house with everything completely cleaned and tidy. Everyone we dealt with at the company - from the office team to the fitter were friendly and polite. The only downside was the paperwork.. it was all there but had some silly errors - the original forms for the finance (interest free!) had christened me with a new first name... but one call and resolved. The warranty documents which arrived today have the wrong surname... but that will be sorted on Monday with a quick call. So in conclusion - excellent product - professional sales, survey and fitting team. It is a compostie door - it is solid and robust - it fits the requirements. Expensive - yes but i was not afraid to haggle as I had done my research. Watch the paperwork - simple errors can paint the worng picture - especially on names. Sales technique - it is what it is - would of been better if the sales person had been able to provide the colour samples and knew which door models were suitable. BUT he was very polite and provided no pressure - he was seeking to help us choose an option rather than pushing his preferred option on us. I know that Dunraven have received some bad press in the past and been challenged with getting their act together as part of that. I know that they are a growing business so sometimes things do not always go well but we were lucky to have 99% of things go ok. Although being addressed under differnet names is amusing. The product is good and what we needed. The fitter was totally professional and did a great job. I can live with a few admin issues... but it cost them that 5 star rating... this time I hope this company continues to show all customers that it can do a great job everytime and not continue to make errors related to sales calls and product fitting issues that some reviewers have complained about. Keep focussed Dunraven team - you have the potential with the products you supply. They operate in a fiercely competitive market... where sadly there are some less that professional people working so as with any doors, double glazing, conservatory companies... read the reviews, do your homework but this company is worth considering in your options
