Salt bocks packed with no protection - they always arrive with 50% damaged and crumbled - waste of money. Used to be good. First lot I’m sure came in a Harveys van but now it’s via courier and it gets chucked around as it’s heavy.

When looking into Water Softeners, we chose to have a demo carried out by Richard Goring from Harvey Water Softeners, who explained all of the features and benefits, together with a real world test of our water hardness and example of hand washing in hard vs soft water, which was very compelling indeed. Richard has vast knowledge and experience, making it an easy decision.

We had a Harvey water softener installed in late October and whilst we had beautiful soft water it ate up two salt tablets every 8-10 days which clearly was not right. We rang and asked what was wrong. A lovely knowledgeable and polite, courteous and professional engineer came to the house (Stuart), diagnosed the issue (we had the wrong model installed as our normal water was not so hard) and he installed a new model (the correct model). I am very impressed with both the product and the service. We were offered a 90 day refund policy which thankfully we now do not need. BRILLIANT AND VERY HELPFUL SERVICE, NO ARGUMENTS AND GREAT PRODUCT I CAN THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND HARVEY WATER SOFTENERS. THANK YOU !

The salt was delivered very promptly. However, the blocks were packed upright when the guidance states they should be kept horizontal. I have mentioned this previously!

Design fault on their water softner resulting in a valve not closing and water continually being recycled - only way to deal with it is switching the Hard water control on and off

I had to use water softener for my son’s eczema, it does help the skin little bit but it’s not a cure. Harvey did a great job setting up the softener but it’s super expensive to setup and to maintain. My water bill have gone up twice due to its regeneration process, on top of that the salt price have gone up since last year. The delivery also takes ages and you find broken salt blocks. So yeah if you are rich and can afford it, it’s for you. But I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re a middle class unless if you or your child with severe eczema.
