I Installed water softner on Dec 2023, they messed completele plumbing , I had plumber visited last month for another issue , then only I realised that. They were supposed to connect the garden water to mains and drinking water to mains but they connected both to the water softener. The reason why they installed RO instead of the Harvey Complete Twist-Lock Filter System. Now when we water plans it uses soft water coming from watr softner. When I contacted now , they are not answering properly and because my warranty period is over they will charge for any visit regardless they messed plumbing works. Now I ended up using soft water for plants and drinking water from softener. Also they said I have to service RO once a year but after 6 months RO is giving water with dead rat smell, such a low quality RO and they will charge 180/118 pounds for changing the filter worth 25 pounds. They put the RO in an awkward place , now I can't change it myself as well.
Salt arrived broken and some unusable. Advised you and not happy with response, you can use broken bits. Not very customer friendly response
Zach went above and beyond installing our water softener. A very knowledgeable guy, showed and explained everything to me at every step of installation. Lots of helpful advices and useful information. Super happy with the whole process and the work he's done, hope there won't be any concerns with the softener itself!
The consultant who came out was very knowledgeable and friendly - and no feeling of heavy sales tactics. Luckily we knew of the company so the two things combined made it easy to make the decision.
The product is absoluteky fine but the delivery isn't great. I appreciate that the package is too heavy but it says FRAGILE in it and yet it gets dropped at my door and it seems like it's been dropped even before that as all the blocks are broken which makes it super hard to load into the tank. This is not a one off case either but this time was too much. All blocks are broken, not just the odd one.
The Salt blocks were not packed securely, when I went to pick it up the butter box just collapsed. Need to be packed in a stronger box̌.
I am happy with my water softener but the long term cost of ownership seems like it will just keep going up. In 6 months the cost of the salt blocks (5 curve salt blocks) has increased by 30%! There is no logic for that level of increase in such a short amount of time.
Had the pleasure of a video consultation with Allan Roberts yesterday. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and personable. Allan got in touch a few days before the call to check in and make sure the appointment was still convenient. He also shared a brochure for me to read through in advance. During the call I didn’t not feel pushed whatsoever. This to me is a huge benefit as the ‘hard sell’ approach some people use is an instant turn off. I received a full quote within an hour via email. Allan has been contactable and responsive all weekend. I couldn’t be happier to proceed.
Every single time when we buy salt itgetring expensive. I suggest buy any water softener which is compatible with any salt because you no need any

Has gone downhill since takeover. I have had two machines break each within 3 years. I am now threatening legal action due to the equipment being not fit for the purpose it was sold for. No answer from their so called “customer service team”. Fortunately I have legal insurance so can just hand it over to them. Shame as they used to have an excellent reputation.
Installed Harveys in June last year. Experience has been positive so far, however only negative thing is Salt prices are bit expensive and just wish this will be reduced or there will be some offers
Avoid this company. We bought a not inexpensive water softener back in 2023. Beware, the sales process is very well practiced, a good story showing you all the benefits and impact of having a softener installed. Unfortunately, it is downhill from there. The whole thing has been a disaster due to poor quality product, low quality of fitting and really dreadful customer service. Not only have we spent a large amount on the actual product, but we've now had to spend money on numerous plumber visits and potentially repairing a damaged floor from leaks. With our experience, the product hasn't worked for a number of weeks and it was extremely difficult to get quick support. On top of that, we identified a leak coming from where the softener was plugged into the waste pipe. Harvey's were not able to send anyone out with any degree or urgency and advised we get a plumber to fix the leak if urgent. We did this and the plumber had to remove the softener from the plumbing to fix the leak. A cost was incurred. The Harvey's representative came out days later and refused to do much further with the softener because 'the pipes had been cut' to it. This was not the case. He did however, refit he pipe going to the waste pipe, admitting that the initial installation had caused one of leaks we were observing. Therefore, we had to get the plumber back out to look at these 'cut pipes' before Harvey's would do anything. Not only did the plumber show how this claim was incorrect and how he had detached it, he also discovered a further leak from the water softener itself. The replacement pipe from days earlier had been incorrectly fitted again. The plumber showed how this was an incredibly basic error, with necessary washers entirely missing. With an expensive purchase of a system that worked for a short period of time and has then accrued further cost of plumbers and damages, I can only recommend you avoid this company. If there is a problem that causes a leak (which appears to be a common theme) Harvey's have no way to expedite support to fix it. You will end up paying for a plumber. Should that plumber have to take action to stop the leak, you can then get problems coming up like 'cut pipes' or equivalent which delay them actually fixing it. It's an impossible scenario. The whole thing has been an expensive, time consuming mess which has damaged our home significantly more than it has helped it. On top of that, the leak has cost us more money on our water bill. We are within the warranty period, so seeking adequate compensation from Harvey's. I would recommend you read these reviews thoroughly, there's a common pattern.
Dan - the guy who came over for demo, is very good, smart, knowledgeable and is great with customer engagement. I was not prepared to make the purchase but the way Dan those tests with all our fam members, it became obvious that he was making sense and his persuasion, diligence to make sure we understood the product well, was just great.
