The staff were totally unhelpful and had a poor attitude. Also my tenant had not had a full profile credit check after a week when the maximum time is 48 hours (in theory) the staff had not tried to contact anyone at all.

Watch them like a hawk for silly errors. Having joined the RLA, when it came to renewal of policies on 4 properties (2 owned jointly 2 by my wife solely) I decided to give them a try on the basis that with a members discount the quote would be cheaper. It was, until I tried to put the policies on foot. On the two owned by my wife, a different premium was quoted - this was because the discount hadn't been applied. I was told that the discount would be applied when my wife confirmed that I had authority to deal with the policies (she had already done this in person when the initial quotes were given) - now I either have authority or I don't. If I don't, then it seems completely illogical that the premium can vary - either I have authority to act on my wife's behalf or I don't - it isn't a multiple choice question. I could say more, but I think the niceties of this point would be lost on them. I say this because on the 2 policies in joint names, where my wife's correct details had been given and included in the quote, she appeared on the documents once cover was on foot as "maraget" - an obvious typing error. When I rang up to correct this, I was told that this was a material change in the policy and would have to be referred to the underwriters. I pointed out that this was an obvious error at their end, and said that if the amendment wasn't made without any further nonsense, I would cancel both policies and return to my old broker. After a short hold, I was advised that they had spoken to the underwriters (really???) and that the policies could be altered. I'm going on holiday tomorrow and as a busy Solicitor haven't got time to go through the minutiae of the paperwork that I've had at the moment. However, I'll most certainly do it on my return, as I shudder to think what difficulties might arise if I ever had to make a claim and a comma had been omitted from a clause. Not a good start at all

I found this very useful, convenient and easy to set up. There are a few details that I think will benefit from redesigning and making it easier to follow. However overall a great and quick .

Reasonably good experience as first time private landlord. Excellent referencing partner (aways go for the comprehensive reference) Only problem if a computer glitch happens then human intervention needed to complete the process but staff willing and helpful

The product is good, the staff trying to sell it need to believe that and have more training when they have to go off script. If the insurance had not been exactly what I wanted I would have walked away as the member of staff was encouraging me not to persevere. I was not happy to pay a fortnight before the insurance started because it was pay today or you will not get this price, if felt like bulling.

Fairly efficient but had to tell them twice the correct postcode and ask for documents to be sent again as they would not open the first time.

Received only 1/2 of the documents the first time round. Spent over 1/2 hour on the telephone to get queries resolved and information. Changed amount, and still waiting for the documents - again!

We are a broker who deals with Rentguard on a regular basis. We have had issues but as we now deal with Saskia the service has improved a lot. She is very efficient in dealing with queries and very helpful

This was chased regularly which was good...if I need to make a cliam, I hope the service will be as good.
