I found that John of Not For Profit Funeral plans to be very helpful when I rang to enquire about taking a plan out. The leaflet I received explained everything and I was able to find just what I wanted. I spoke to John to ask about the capacty of the limos and to ask about the cost as I would be also having a church service before the cremation. All my questions were answered satisfactory and no time was I pressurised to take out the plan. The price I found to be very good. I took time to make my decision and compared this to other funeral plans. I then phoned John to take out my plan. I received my certificate promptly, I am very satisfied.

I have recently used this company to sort out my funeral to save my family the problem and in order to have some say in how it will be run. I have found them easy and friendly to use and would recommend them.

Quick, prompt service from start to finish with no hard selling or harrassment. We were left to mull over the information and to take time in deciding if it was for us. It was, so now we have peace of mind. The only small issue we had was not having a list of funeral directors to choose from, but rather the company allocated one as not all deal with 'Not For Profit'. We contacted the company to discuss this, we were given another two options but unfortunately, the funeral directors that were offered to us were not so close by, so we have had to stay with the original option.

We looked at different funeral plans before deciding this looked the best one on the market. We phoned up and asked for a brochure, which arrived only 2 days later, we very impressed by the brochure which clearly gave details of what we would be covered for, and prices which were very competitive. We also saw that many other people had given positive feedback. We were happy that our money was being safeguarded. A few days later we received a friendly call to say that our application had been received. We are happy that we have the best funeral plan on the market.

Hello, I had been contemplating back in June 2019 with regards to finding a suitable funeral policy for myself. I spent weeks browsing the internet & came across all the main national funeral providers. I noticed how much they varied in price & the different inclusions & exclusions involved, which I found quite confusing at times. The more options to upgrade to a particular plan, the more expensive it became. Just by chance, I somehow came across Not For Profit Funeral Plans. I read all the information provided on their website which was very informative & looked quite impressive by what I had read. Even though I felt a bit apprehensive, I decided to call the company directly, the following morning. I spoke to a gentleman called John Lecomber & had the opportunity to ask him as many questions that I could think of. He was absolutely brilliant with the responses that he gave me & I didn’t feel under pressure to commit to anything. There was definitely no hard sale tactics involved which I think many people should find pleasing. He then offered to to send me brochure (at my request) & I received it promptly in the post. I managed to read & scrutinise all the information provided & I also liked that everything was explained clearly, without any complicated jargon. I also liked the comparison chart that I was given, of the main national providers & how much they charged, compared to Not For Profit Funeral Plans. I called John the following day & without further delay & with confidence, I purchased my funeral policy. This included a £100 promotional discount. I was also very grateful to John for his help in completing all the necessary forms over the telephone & I received my funeral policy, a couple of days later by post. The funeral policy booklet that I received was very well presented & included the breakdown of costs of what I had paid for & other information provided that was easy to read & comprehend. I am so happy that I have made the right choice, with the purchase of my funeral policy & in the event of my death, I can at least now say that I have taken responsibility for my future funeral costs, without anyone else having to worry about. As I was so happy with my funeral policy, I thought I would look at my parents’ funeral policies & compare them with mine. My parents’ had a life Insurance policy with the Co-op which they had been contributing monthly payments for over 20 years, to pay towards their funeral costs. I noticed that my mother had to pay more towards her policy per month because she had multiple health conditions. Their funeral provider (the Co-op) were then taken over by a very reputable company called Royal London. As I was looking at their life insurance policies, I was shocked by how much they would receive as a cash lump sum, in the event of each other’s death. There wasn’t enough money to pay towards their funeral costs. I don’t think that my elderly parents were aware of how much they would receive either, as they hadn’t had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with their documentation & had not seen it for so many years. My parents were in their 80’s. My father was in a nursing home & I am still my mother’s main Carer & had to explain to them both what I had discovered. Based on the purchase of my funeral policy that I had made with Not For Profit Funeral Plans, I told them how confident & happy I felt & if they would be interested in purchasing a funeral policy, that was similar to mine. I know they felt apprehensive but, John very kindly sent two more brochures for their perusal. After seeing how much money they could save & everything else that would be included, I was then given their permission (from the lump sum they received from their policies with Royal London), to purchase their individual funeral policies from Not For Profit Funeral Plans. Again, having received their documents, they were very happy. Sadly, my father passed away in April this year. He was a tetraplegic & had been Paralysed for 14 years, after a tragic accident. Unfortunately, due COVID-19, only a few family members were allowed to attend his Cremation. I would also like to thank John for liaising with our local Funeral Company, for the wonderful service that they provided & the beautiful ashes box, which my family are hoping to inter next September, on my late father’s Birthday. With limited funds and no life assurance, I was wanting to take some steps to prevent my funeral costs being a financial burden for my family. I was drawn to the title of the business - 'Not for Profit'. Their brochure was comprehensive and it was clear what was being offered. They explained why they are not on comparison websites; about the security of your money for the duration of the plan; and being able to get your money back at any time (minus the setting up fee). I was also able to establish which Funeral Directors in my area were signed up to the 'Not for Profit' Plan. Unlike some other plans I had looked at, there was the option of burial or cremation if you had not yet made a decision about this. Staff responded quickly to my enquiry and were easy to talk to. They were prepared to talk with any family members who might have questions. I was assured that I could ring in the future with any queries and could update information on my plan at any time. It was a very straightforward and reassuring experience.

We had decided to take out a pre-arranged funeral plan and had been recommended to one by a friend. However, just before investing, we searched for reviews for this and several similar plans. In our search, we came across your Not For Profit Funeral Plans and looked at reviews. Over 400 reviews gave positive feedback with only a very few raising any questions, which you addressed. We then compared all aspects of your service with others and decided to proceed with NFPFP. Comments such as “friendly contacts”, “no pushing towards additional extras” and of course the cost saving lead us to invest with you. We wanted to nominate a specific Funeral Directors, and John made contact with them and confirmed to us that the plan was acceptable to them. We can simply say that the process was clear and efficiently performed by John and Paul and the only contacts from them were to confirm and advise on the progress. They even called to ensure we had received the brochure and, later, the completed certificates. We have no hestitation in fully recommending this plan.
