I thoroughly recommend 50cycles. After going to 3 other electric bike retailers in Bristol, it was very clear that the people who worked here really knew their stuff. I knew very little about electric bikes and had quite specific requirements (towing a loaded trailer up Bristol hills!) and they took time to explain the different options and specs of the bikes. I felt I could really trust their advice (informative, not patronising) and they encouraged me to try various models without any pressure to make a purchase. I also rather like the fact that their showroom has a really practical vibe to it - no over-precious displays or racks of pointless accessories - just lots of lovely bikes in a nice big space and some good customer service to help you navigate it! After sales has also been excellent as my lovely bike has needed a few adaptions (because of the trailer) and the hard-working staff are always very friendly and helpful whenever I pop in. Jolly good stuff!

I bought a Cube Reaction Hybrid Race from 50cycles. the whole process was easy and efficient. They had great communications and the bike was delivered on time and in perfect condition. Great store who were easy to deal with and friendly in all my communications. the Cube eBike is spectacular, I'm 17 stone and the bike greats me around for over 40 miles in tour mode at 15 - 20 miles an hour. It does over 30 mile in EMTB mode which delivers awesome acceleration. in Turbo mode the bike accelerates quickly uphill and off road.

Not quite what I expected. I thought I would receive the bicycle delivered by their own van with a person to set it up. Just comes in a big box and you are on your own...... No contact after they have your money in their hands.

Internet/telephone purchase. Very responsive and helpful. Very flexible approach to holding a bike available. Delivered as arranged , correct date and time. Minor set up issue dealt with quickly and supportively ( slightly loose belt). I would buy again - and indeed I did and was similarly impressed this time with no set up issues. Really enjoying the cycling. Makes a delight of long distance. Mostly using no or low power but with the additional support of more power for some long 12% hills it makes a 30km ride really enjoyable for some of us older chaps.

since my original review of 50 cycles and critique of joe he has been in touch with me to apologise for any bad feeling that I have experienced and any bad service. he has offered to pick up my bike and upgrade any software and give my bike a full service and fit a non suspention seat post which I was told would be included at the point of purchase. joe has gone the extra mile to make sure I'm satisfied with the way things have now been resolved so they can do the very best for me as a 50 cycles client. I have no hesitation in upgrading joes rating from one star five for his efforts to resolve the situation.

I bought a Kalkhoff electric bike from 50cycles Electric Bikes in April 2015, and I have positive experience of dealing with them. Should any problems occur subsequent to purchase I am confident, from my own experience, that they will be resolved fairly.

Last September I bought a Cube Travel Hybrid 500 (with a discount). The service during my visit to the store was excellent: not at all pushy and very helpful. I was able to test ride two bikes, one of which was very similar to my purchase and another as a comparison. This really helped in my decision. I have been very pleased with the bike. When the brakes began to underperform I contacted 50cycles and they asked me to bring the bike in and I was shown what the problem was and it was easily rectified free of charge there and then (and now I know how to do it next time). Overall after 4 months and 1000km I am very happy!

I have bought two bikes from the Altrincham shop where Reece looked after myself and my wife brilliantly. I also sold my wife's used folding electric bike on the 50cycles web and that was very successful. We are very pleased with both bikes and the support provided 50cycles. There was a bit of an issue with a replacement part for my bike which was slowed down by Christmas postal issues, however all was resolved amicably.

So far, so good. I bought an ex-display bike with 60 kms on the clock for a hefty discount and have yet to be disappointed. The box it came in was damaged, but the bike itself seemed fine. It appears from the small amount of rust on the chain that the bike came without being oiled recently, but no matter. Great price, really helpful on the phone, next day delivery. They've also said that they'll sort out the 6 week service despite me not being able to bring the bike to them in service. Up to this point my experience has been ideal.

No, fine - very good service. I am an older cylist (70) who was looking for a bike suited to my age and the shop staff intro to ebikes was clear and unhurried. There was none of the superiority you can get from staff in conventional cycle shops when you don't stroll in wearing lycra. And I'm pleased with the bike!

I bought 2 Kelkhoff bikes. One developed a fault in the motor just out of the guarantee period. 50CC took the bike and the motor was replaced without charge. I found all of the staff knowledgable, helpful and efficient. Well done. Recommended.
