The response time was excellent. Chris the driver arrived 30 minutes before the actual estimated time. He was very pleasant and chatty throughout the recovery, which was done within 5 minutes of his arrival. Great service, wouldn't hesitate to use company again. ( hopefully don't have to though, 1 breakdown is enough )

Cannot fault this company. The driver was friendly, efficient and cheerful. He got me sorted out and safe back home in no time. Highly recommended.

I didn't have such a great time with this rescue, organized through Green Flag. I broke down as a lone 70 year old woman on the M6, a section with no hard shoulder. My first message from 1st rescue said that my technician, Jamie, would be with me within the hour, and that I would be regularly updated with any changes. No one turned up, and there were no updates . When I phoned to chase, I was suddenly sent a message saying my technician had changed, and in total I waited 2hrs 20 minutes ( it had gone dark and very cold). I can't fault Martin and Lee who recovered me, but I seriously doubt whether Jamie was ever on his way! When I queried it the following day with Green Flag, I was told that, I should have seen the technician on my tracker, as soon as he left his previous job and received regular updates. Neither of these ever happened. This presumably meant, that even after the hour he was still on his previous job so obviously updates should have been sent and a change of technician considered at an earlier stage. They were not able to give me any verifiable information as to his true location when he was supposed to be driving to me. According to my app, Jamie's vehicle never left the the 1st rescue HQ. My belief is that my job never got any attention until after over an hour of waiting ...... despite being told I was marked a priority. I was finally rescued after 2 hours 20 minutes by 2 separate drivers (being swapped ay Lymm services). Thank you to both of them. However I remain unsure that Jamie was ever allocated my job, and there was clearly a major omission in sending updates or transferring my job. I have been a long term committed Green Flag customer and believed their statement.....' that most breakdowns are attended within the hour' . Sadly this was not my experience. I don't think that anyone stuck on a busy section of a motorway, with no hard shoulder should have been left for 2 hours 20 minutes, with no apparent action being taken for over an hour ! Not a happy experience!

Jimmy was professional throughout the whole experience. Friendly fellow to chat with and drove me perfectly to a tyre replacement garage. Super quick to get to me in under half an hour and quicker than they has stated too. Truly grateful. Top, top company

Did not come by the time they texted, 9.30pm. Did not get any other text from them. I call AA Hyundai Assist who then told me 1st Rescue would be with me at 10.30pm. I had been waiting on my own since 8.15pm and felt unwell and could not wait until 10 30pm. I had to get AA Hyundai Assist to get me a taxi home and I had no option but to leave my car at the scene of breakdown. I was very unhappy, upset and stressed.

I was told I would be contacted within 10 minutes, but no one got back to me. Because of this delay, I missed my deadline. The next day, I was assured I would receive a call early, but once again, there was no communication. I had to arrange my own recovery, which was frustrating and completely avoidable. Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I wouldn’t recommend relying on this service

I had to wait for 6 hours on a motorway. It was a harrowing experience.

I broke down on 22/03/25 at 18.34 with a completely flat tyre on Regent Road, Manchester, this road is a three lane road with traffic travelling at 40mph, I contacted the RAC and was put through to the tyre team as I have tyre cover, breakdown was arranged and I was told a time of 8.50pm-10.50pm. At 21.18, I still hadn’t had an updated, I contacted RAC again who told me there were no patrols available and someone would be with me very late. The man I spoke to explained that he was pass this to his manager and either fast track a patrol or get a third party recovery to come and get me. I then received a text to say I would be towed home which wasn’t convenient and I would still be left without a tyre even though I pay for tyre cover. I decided I would source a 24/7 mobile tyre fitter after being left stranded so I called the RAC again and explained my frustration and asked them to cancel the recovery. At around 21.40 a man from 1st Rescue and Recovery ta Trade carz Manchester LTD arrived even after cancelling the recovery, asked the man “are you here for this car” he replied “no, I just thought I’d show up”, he then asked me what was wrong with the car, I explained I had a flat tyre in which he replied “well how do you know it’s flat” it was down the alloy so it was clear the tyre was flat. When my partner confronted him about his attitude and sarcasm he replied “I’m just trying to break to ice”. Worst experience, vile attitude and would not recommend.

The whole experience was excellent I had an hour to wait but was updated by telephone. The recovery driver was great very friendly but professional treated me and my car with upmost care. Thank you

Recovery driver was excellent and reassured us as we needed a recovery from a sloped driveway with a crane. He was efficient and professional but still with a human touch, much appreciated in worrying times. Cannot praise this man enough

The lad that came to collect me was amazing he was apologetic as I'd had to wait 4 hours but he'd had to come all the way from Manchester to Liverpool to get me I was a woman on my own I felt safe and reassured he stayed with me till I was on my way great recovery and service Thank you

I had a long wait for the recovery vehicle to arrive due to a problem over the exact location of my car, but the driver was very helpful and transported the car to a safe area so that the AA could attend.
