Told by another company would be
White Astra . Really nice and friendly person, kept me updated and made me feel a lot better as I had a really bad day and it was Friday the 13th.
I would have left this alone if it wasn’t for receiving a text message telling me how I was rescued and asking me for a review. Got a flat tyre on my taxi around 40 miles from home at 2am. Tried to change wheel and the wheel brace broke meaning I could not get wheel off. Called AA and explains the situation who gave me an estimated time of 03:50. I got a call from this recovery services acting on behalf of the AA at 03:30 explaimg that the driver was still in Manchester but he was on route and would be approx 1 hour give or take. I explained to the person calling the me what the problem was and where I was located. The next call I got from the was at 04:20 explaining that the driver was about half way (maybe 25-30mins away) I was a little bit annoyed by this as I know how long it takes to get from Manchester to my location but I said okay that’s fine and carried on waiting. At 05:05 still no sign so I called the AA back to ask where they were? They told me eta of 05:20. Which they did turn up at. Not sure why I was getting stung along for so long. That wasn’t helpful but thankfully they had arrived. The recovery driver got out and started taking photos of my car straight away, didn’t discuss the repair or anything, I thought this was very strange that this was his first concern. I then told him what the issue was. I told him we just need an 18mm socket or wheel brace, 2 mins and put the spare on. The driver went back to his truck, only to come back 5 mins later empty handed, “I have no tools with me”. I’m absolutely dumbfounded by this, you don’t even have as much as a simple socket set. This sounds like one of the most stupid things I’ve ever heard, Okay, so plan b. I guess you are going to have to recover my car home then I said, trying to find a better than nothing solution. The driver said ‘I can’t sorry I knock off at 6am’. My jaw nearly hit the floor. I’ve waited all that time, only for somebody to come, without even the most basic tools, that then can’t recover me. What an absolute joke. Honestly words can’t do this justice. So now I’m left stranded away from home with no help, I’ve lost a nights takings, I’ve getting seriously tired as I’ve been working from 6pm the day before and I’m stranded, It’s very clear, this company’s only priority was collected a ffee from the AA just for showing up. Absolute Jokers. I had to pay for a taxi driver from Wrexham to bring me a wheel brace to change the wheel in the end, 2 mins and I was on the rd . So because of you, I’m completely out of pocket. Thank you, you are literally one of the most useless company’s I’ve ever had the miss pleasure of coming across.
1st Rescue and Recovery were absolutely amazing. Tom kept me updated at all times, and Jack collected and recovered my car. Exemplary service. I highly recommend using them in your time of need.
Lovely driver came to rescue and recover my vehicle that my wife and daughter were stranded in. The vehicle was started using jump leads and they were able to get home without the need for the breakdown truck. Had battery tested today and it was fine, so not sure why it wouldn’t start initially, maybe it was because it was Friday the 13th. Nonetheless the experience was first class from start to finish, communication was great. Thank you very much.
The driver of the truck was very helpful
I used this company via Emergency Assist who I have cover with. I called at 9.30am with a flat battery, I was given an ETA 10.40am, I received a call at 10.35 from the breakdown driver to say he would be 10 minutes. (I was kept updated) Really polite and friendly driver, (I've forgotten his name) jump started my car and on my way. I would recommend 1st Rescue and Recovery for anyone needing roadside assistance. THANK YOU
Jose was fantastic, great guy with wonderful customer service. Excellent communication throughout.
Initial breakdown was reported at 8 am, patrol arrived at 10:30 RAC chap identified the problem but said that he would not be able to fix it so he has ordered a tow truck at 11am. Tow truck arrived at 8pm. It RAC subcontractor. As he lifted the van onto his truck bed he was surprised to why the problem wasn’t fixed. He took the van to the next relay point took a simple part from the AA patrol man and fixed it . I lost a days wages for two employees. Avoid RAC!!!
Our driver who did take our car was very nice with us, he helped us in every way he could so like that we had a very pleasant journey back home, he was very friendly and talked a lot about things like football, our holiday time, family and etc. I would rate him 10 out of 10 at least. Thanks for everything.
Waste of time service
The driver was excellent, it was just a pity that he took 3 hours to turn up
Driver kept me updated with phone calls to let me know when arriving. Was on phone for ages but answered after rephoning operator. Came out within a hour and job done within 10 minutes.
Excellent Recovery Service . Kept informed and updated of vehicle getting to me. Driver very efficient and excellent people skills . Dropped off at garage within 2 hours of first calling to report my car not starting. Excellent 👍
Being recovered is never a great thing but our driver was excellent in every respect. He was friendly, professional and empathetic. We chatted all things football and music on a lengthy journey home.
1st Rescue and Recovery were brilliant. The recovery driver Billy was very helpful, friendly and chatty during the part of the journey that he was responsible for transporting me and my vehicle.
Recovery was very efficient and even sorting my car being scrapped so save any further stress.
We have been collected by Chris after being in the car for 22 hours. He drove from Manchester to Wales and back to Manchester to get us home safely. He is a great man, very nice, polite and reassuring. He was very concerned about our well-being, and especially in regards to our 14 year old child. Thank you sow much for everything.
