Can't access files when you need them. Upload is soooo slow.
Just horrible. I have the "lifetime" Vault and Cold Storage account, but when I am trying to download files from the so-called "instant" Vault, I get a message saying "Due to account inactivity, your file(s) are being processed and requested for you again and will be available for download as soon as possible." This has been over 24 hours ago. WHAT GOOD IS AN "INSTANT" VAULT THAT CAN'T BE ACCESSED AT ALL?
Service was prompt and good, although product could be a little more defined and user-friendly. Overall value for money.

I guess I am typing from the grave as like others my "lifetime" 100gb account has expired. I absolutely 100% positively have had no emails to the email address registered regarding this. This is still my primary email account and has been long before I registered on zoolz so clearly something is awry whatever the reps claim. I am sympathetic for the reasons ending "lifetime" access (not the first company to do so nor will be last) but so abruptly and with little warning. Very disappointing.
I have been using GCloud Backup for many years now, and I find them to be the best backup services for my Android (and I have tried a few before GCloud). During all these years I have switched to new phones several times, and GCloud makes it super easy to go through the transition. It's as easy as instaling the app on the new phone, signing in, and tapping on "restore". Restore will give you options on what to restore to new phone as well. And voilà!, all that you had backed up on the previous phone is now on your new phone, without a single glitche! I do have to say a word or two about their customer service! Those guys are just amazing. Replies are very fast and they are very quick to help you with whatever your needs are.

Zoolz cloud service is what you would expect a cloud based storage site should be...straightforward and simple to use interface. But unbeknownst to me, recently the service plan I was under was discontinued. I chose not to continue the service by upgrading my plan. This meant that my data was locked and would eventually be purged. I contacted customer service for help - this is where their service stood out most. A courteous understanding account manager informed me that a notification email was sent out to alert all affected customers before the discontinuance was enacted, but would grant me 1 week of access time to retrieve my data. I was done in 2 days. Thank you Christina Roberts. Although I personally chose not to continue with the service, if you use them and ever need assistance, customer services will be right there to assist you professionally and quickly. For that, I give 5 stars!

I am one of those people who subscribed to the "life time account" and received an email saying "you maintenance account has expired". I reached out to their customer support for a little more explanation, they replied to me super-fast (which I appreciate) and told me I literally have to pay $1 or less a month to have a premium account. Honestly, after looking at other services, this is really a good deal, I didn't want to go through the trouble of shifting to another service and I didn't need to, I was happy using their service before and I am still happy now. People just want free things, but I understand you're running a business and I'm happy to pay a small amount for a good experience.
Posting another review as it doesn't seem possible to post a comment to a "reply" by Zoolz, posted some 5 weeks after my initial review. Despite what they assert, they did not send me any, let alone 7, emails before closing my account. I suspect they sent emails to a former, long redundant, email address, even though I had updated my Zoolz account years ago when I changed it. They _are_ responsible for ensuring their contact database is updated when a customer advises them of a change. Another indication that this company can't be trusted. But the email issue is largely irrelevant - shutting down a "lifetime" account is just not on.
It should act more like a hard drive and we should be able to move files around after uploading. There are some glitches that need to be fixed. There is a restriction on the number of characters of the entire file path because of which I had to delete everything I had uploaded and start all over again. It counts the entire file path of where the files are on your local hard drive. There should be an option of uploading files from my local drive to wherever I want on the cloud.
Same complaint as others, bought a 'lifetime' storage plan (not a free account - paid one), just got an email saying $9.99 to keep using their software to upload and access my data. So technically YES, you get lifetime storage, but NO, you gotta pay us every year to access it.... Don't invest in this shifty company, they are counting on it being too big a job to move all your data from a year over to another service. They guessed wrong, I'm starting the move right now.
bought a "lifetime" license from this scammers Same here, paid for a lifetime license and just got an email that my "Maintenance Plan Has Expired" Don't trust this company they will defraud you.
Amazing Customer Service
I bought Zoolz service around 1 year ago, it was offered with storage, application to automatically backup your data from a PC and a mobile app to browse your photo (if you have any) stored on your space. It was everything I needed (and still need) so I payed what they asked for a lifetime plan. From some months they have changed their mind (and the deal we signed!) discontinuing the mobile app, without asking or saying me a word, so from then on I can only browse my photo from the pc. Only after complaining with their customer support they have explained me that their "management has chosen to discontinue this app and unfortunately it is no longer in support". It is a completely unfair behavior, this company is flaky, stay away from them and don't trust what they say to take your money, they will change their (big??)mind soon.
I have used Genie9 Backup Manager Pro for many years to for my backup needs. I found it very adaptable to my changing computer situations and intuitive to use. Any time I had any questions or issues. the technical support personel were helpful and without fail, solved the issue the first time. Then I finally had a situation where I lost my peer to peer computer with four drive partitions of critical data due to a motherboard failure during the busiest part of the year. The drives were old SCSI drives that I had nursed along for many years so being able to restore them was really not an option. I relied on the Genie9 Backup to restore the files onto new partitions on a new drive and it went like a breeze. I will continue to use Genie9 and can recommend it without reservation.
It seems my lifetime outlasted their "Free lifetime" account. Poor business planning on their part.
