I was the proud owner of one of their lifetime accounts. I also received the notice that my account maintenance had expired a while back but I ignored that because I didn't want to "upgrade" to have support. There was no mention of any support fees in the original purchase, I went back and looked. I didn't get really upset until today where I was given 2 weeks notice to retrieve my data before my lifetime account would be shut down. It was bad enough that they tried to 'upsell' or more realistically de-feature my purchase a while back but now they're flat out cancelling it if I don't upgrade to a new paid business account. I was even able to find active offers on the internet where they're are still selling lifetime deals as of today. They also are only offering partial refunds for people that paid within the last year which means I won't be eligible to get any of my purchase refunded.

Je suis pourtant encore bien vivant et espère tenir le choc quelque temps !! Bravo pour cette escroquerie et si vous souhaitiez passer chez eux, réfléchissez à 2 fois au professionnalisme de ces gens sans scrupules ! MAJ : Allez bien vous faire feindre avec votre réponse formatée à 2 balles. A VIE ne signifie pas 30 jours ! Soit vous remboursez soit vous êtes des voleurs. J'espère qu'une class action va être intentée au vu du nombre de personnes escroquées.

Echoing everyone's thoughts. This is a scam and abusing the trust of consumers. You took our money under false pretenses promising a lifetime membership, and now you are canceling it without even the decency of admitting wrongdoing. Take your canned reply and shove it. I don't need you to reply to my review with your bu**it answer. I hope you fail miserably in all your future ventures you lying thieves.
one star for cancelling a Lifetime contract. Furthermore users have only 2 weeks to download their data. data will be deleted after October 15th 2020. totally disappointing. they still advertise offers for home users on their website even though the email i received today says they will focus on Business users only. stay away from this company.

Zoolz have noticed all lifetime users to pay more or loose your data if this not scam what is it? Because downloading data is getting almost impossible. How do we file lawsuit?
Zoolz Home will be discontinued. All Zoolz Home users will have 14 days to retrieve their data from the cloud. They will delete all our data and not provide a proper way for us to download it all before that date. So I'm stuck downloading everything manually. Will I be able to finish before the deadline? This is nonsense! Update 10/1/2020: Zoolz & BigMIND Helpdesk replied my email and it was completely useless. They only provided me a link to instructions how to restore my data off their application and web site. Both of these methods do not work! Restoring from the vault the window is stuck on "Readying files for restore" for the last 24 hours and it does not go anywhere. On my Zoolz online account there is no "download" button like shown in their screenshots after selecting my folders. I'm still stuck with 500GB of data needing to be downloaded before October 15. Update 10/2/2020: Zoolz support has been ignoring my emails. Very unprofessional business. I'm not able to download any of my files with only 13 days remaining. Frustrating!
Why Zoolz have you launched another 'LIFETIME' service under the brand PolarBackup.com if you are unable to maintain a lifetime service for existing Zoolz customers. I've checked and it is run by the same person as Zoolz (before you say it is a different company!!) I would like an explanation (as would others on here I am sure) - Please do not just reply back with the same copy/paste message that you have been doing.
Just got the email this morning stating that they are cancelling the Home Service, including "lifetime" contracts although they don't specifically say that, which again to me is deceptive. Personally i think your company should be sued and forced to reimburse everyone who bought a 'lifetime' contract. You sold a product that you are trying to weasel out of the obligations of that contract, first by canceling the maintenance, and now by legal means. I work in IT for a large Telco and make choices of software and providers and I go through the reviews of companies like this to look for these types of things, thats why we don't use software like logmein, teamviewer because of stupid stunts like your doing. You took peoples money now own-up to what you sold them, not just because its not profitable enough. And you better extend that deadline to let people get their data off, your future buisness will probably depend on it.
I bought a lifetime access of 2TB with Zoolz. Now they informed me that lifetime does not mean lifetime. They are stopping the service in two weeks, unless you cough up extra money. When you go to their helpdesk you are answered by a robot or an extremely stupid person. Anyway they sell you a product that they cannot deliver, stay away from them. It's a scam. Just see their reply, their robot sent me that at least five times. Nothing about selling a product that you are not delivering.
Scammers, sold lifetime deals to me and my family, tried to get me only last month to upgrade the account now giving me 14 days to get 4tb of files downloaded. Get ready for their other company Polar back up to do the same. So it took them less than a hour to report this as a fake review. I 100% Stand by my comments, this is a scam and they never intended to give us what they offered. EDIT 3 - zoolz are trying everything they can to keep my review offline. This company promised a lifetime of data storage and sent an email to me giving me 15 days to retrieve my files before my account is deleted. I cannot even get my files because of a system error. Emailed for help and no response! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. SCAM AND RIPOFF!! ZERO STARS.
Never ever buy something from zoolz. I did buy a Lifetime Cloud Storage plan on sale. In the first year I was suggested to upgrade, next asked and now I received a notice that I have 15 days until all data will be deleted.
I believe trust pilot has to give an option to rate less than 1 star, because that what my rating for Zoolz will be ZERO STARS, the company sold lifetime memberships (3TB storage) and after less than 2 years they are canceling the subscription. Fortunately, when i tried Zoolz it was slow, so the data i stored in Zoolz is not exceeding 250GB, and I already have it in a decent backup service. Please avoid Zoolz and never trust its services. ---- The reply of the customer service represents what the service is, useless
Do not trust this company. I bought a lifetime plan and they cancelled it, giving 14 days to download my data and find somewhere else to put it...or pay $100 to upgrade. Why would anyone ever pay money to this company, who knows what they will do with your data and when they will try to change the goal posts again. Copying and pasting the same response to every review left? That should tell you all you need to know about this company. The sooner it fails and disappears, the better. They keep blocking their ex-customers on Twitter when they ask for their money back, and keep deleting comments on their linked in. They have no regard or respect for their customers whatsoever.
Cancelled a 'lifetime' plan after just two years, with no refund or compensation, just an 'offer' to pay them more money for a service that I have already paid for. Disgusting behaviour - a company to avoid at any cost.
I've bought a LIFETIME deal which has been DISCONTINUED after only two years! They've given me 14 days to get my 1TB of data. The app has always been ugly and bug-ridden. I've constantly been getting upselling emails. Never again Zoolz! You lie and brake promises, you should go out of business!
Another Lifetime Account closing down. Even though the company is still trading. Deceitful.. Underhanded tactics. if zoolz as a business ceased trading then no problem. However shutting down Lifetime accounts is wrong on so many levels. I hope they do not survive in this market. .....Minutes after posting they are sending out damage limitation replies on here.... Not good enough, you have already upset too many people who put their faith in you...NO MORE...
Bought a lifetime time license, now the service is being "cancelled" . Not really cancelled though. They are changing the name of it to be able to charge more and ripp off lifetime customers. You get two weeks before the data is deleted. You can however pay extra and transform lifetime license to a year. Great.
