This is a fraudulent company which sells lifetime subscriptions (paid upfront) and cancels the service after 18months with no refund. I will be asking my credit card company for a charge back as Zoolz have not provided the service I have paid for. I would understand if the company had gone out of business but they have not, they have just decided to focus on the more lucrative business sector. However, I cannot see how any business would trust this company with mission critical data when Zoolz are pulling the plug on consumer's personal data with just 14days notice. Judging from these reviews it would be appear there are sufficient numbers of affected users to launch a class action for breach of contract.

Zoolz is ending with Home Backup systems. I bought from them Lifetime backup and now after 1.5 years, they are ending their service. They won't refund my money, they are not able to give me a similar solution, I see it as a fraud. I guess this will happen later also with their Bussines cloud system.

Stay away from Zoolz for your business. They can not be trusted. Same as other users reported, we bought a life-time plan yet they delete the accounts within 2 weeks!!! yes, ridiculous and they should be sued for that. You can not be sure what are you buying from them. You can not be sure what will happen to the product you bought in the next few years. Stay alert, Stay away.

They sold lifetime plans, then degraded them to such a point they were slow and useless, then tried to close them and relented after a backlash. Now they have done the same again and will be deleting all home accounts on the 15th October. People have paid for nothing and now stuck trying to get valuable data off in days from servers and software that sucks. They are only offering refunds or partial refunds but ignoring the fools like me who bought a lifetime plan that gave them the money to invest in their business and now been booted aside to make money off new suckers. To make matters worse you cannot even download the data from their servers I have been trying for 2 days to get my files as they removed the direct download and the software restore never ever starts. Amazon aws should boot them off their servers as they are proudly displaying the Amazon partner badge but treating people terribly which will reflect on Amazon as they will think they are linked. The most annoying part about the whole situation is that the £15+VAT offer for 1TB of business backup charged at that price per year for the whole subscription is a good deal. You have blown it with your handling of this whole business issue. I would have gone with it despite paying for a lifetime licence if you had not lost all my trust by offering even the first year free or 6 months instead of locking up all the data and deadlining a couple of weeks. 🤔

ABSOLUTE CON ARTISTS. They seel you a LIFETIME product, but then shutdown your account with ONLY 14 DAYS notice. They do not answer their phone. Their website & facebook page have incorrect contact details. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Avoid this company at all cost. I paid for a 1TB Lifetime account with them in 2017 and they emailed me yesterday saying they are withdrawing it and I have until the 15th October to retrieve all my data. No refund, no "we can shift you to this equivalent product for free", no "we will give you a partial refund". Absolute refusal to do anything to help their home customers. Just throwing them to the wind and running with the money. Of course I can upgrade with them for £18 for the first year... then next year it turns into £180!!! From a business point of view would you trust them with your data when they practice things like this. I also have suspicions that they crippled their software a few years ago to drive "free lifetime" users away as when I was caught up in this also and explained I was a paying customer they emailed me a different installer for the software that suddenly worked without speed or data issues. Just overall AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! Stay away from those scammers - unethical, unprincipled company which thinks they can cancel service at their wish without providing any refund. Quoting them: "Regarding your refund request; kindly note that only users who subscribed less than one (1) year ago are eligible for a refund."

Bought a lifetime subscription that seemingly means a couple of years with Zoolz. Apart from poor user interface it was OK until "effective immediately, our consumer service, Zoolz Home, will be discontinued in order to allow us to fully focus on the business and organization cloud backup market". Of course you have the option of buying into their Business plan at a discount rate, which will likely also get discontinued in a year or two forcing you to buy into some other 'lifetime' subscription. Stay away if you need reliability and honesty.

What you need from a back-up / cloud storage solution is reliability and an ethical company. Cutting off customers with no notice and denying access to their data is not acceptable. No solutions from this company should be trusted. This is a kind of blackmail: unless you upgrade to our business plan you will lose all your data. And a kind of fraud: lifetime subscription that lasts 3 months. Disgusting. FYI the stock reply they add to every review is nonsense. Absolutely no support is avalaible from the email, and the system is now over-loaded so nothing can be restored. Shockingly bad scam aimed solely at getting customers to "upgrade" to their business plan. Why would I trust these scammers and do that?

JUST AWFUL! Complete scam - paid for a “lifetime plan” an enormous amount of money - and they have canceled it after 18 months without a refund, in a claim that “they are sorry but they have decided to seize the service indefinitely” and they won’t refund anyone. WATCH OUT - SCAM ALERT!!!

For the second time in a year, they have sent out a statement which does not take into account Lifetime members. This is after they closed one of my lifetime accounts for no reason a few years ago (and have still not responded to my questions as to why this has happened). Stability is an important part of any service that has to do with data, and Zoolz definitely has shown to be unstable. ---update---- I had twitted at them yesterday asking what happens to life time members, and: "You’re blocked You can’t follow or see @ZoolzCloud’s Tweets. Learn more" That's just ridiculous. So let's add bad customer relations to the mix.

Breach of contract sold lifetime 2TB subscription received today an email 9/30/20 that I and anyone else who received this email have 14 days to retrieve any information should have stuck to BackBlaze when I first joined them and never spent the money on Zoolz. If you want a great backup I would recommend giving BackBlaze a try I used them before and I regret leaving them I have begun the upload of my information into BackBlaze. For $6 a month $60 a year or $110 for two years you get unlimited storage and BackBlaze has the reputation to show one thing they won't sell out people.

Paid for lifetime subscription and cancelled after 2 years. No refund offered or given when requested. Horrible customer service and company. STAY AWAY! Lifetime means 1 year to them apparently based on their reply.. Very dishonest business practices and poor customer service. Use them at your own risk.

Sold me two separate backup plans for two computers at home that were "lifetime". First, they asked for a "maintenance" fee about six months into the prepaid plan. Now, about a year later, the lifetime plan is cancelled with no refund and little notice (two weeks). Total rip off.

Bought lifetime subscription couple of months ago. Very slow upload, no mobile app (discontinued). Now they are discontinuing the lifetime. Unprofessional company, poor support.

Purchased a lifetime subscription for 2T of data backup. Although the company is remaining in business (to sucker in some business clients) they have decided to abrogate their services under their contract. Not only that but they are giving me just 15 days to download all my data along with all the other customers they are cheating over their slow and troublesome restore online interface before I lose all access to it. I'm alive, they're alive but their LIFETIME contract isn't. Very dishonest company. As for their reply: The company continues to advertise plans to gain new individual home users. Their restore process is neither fast nor easy in the best of conditions. Expecting it to work better than ever before during the 2 weeks prior to their deleting our data is adding insult to injury. It is truly "mission impossible." In a direct email to me Zoolz offered me 2 additional years on my "lifetime" contract. I took it and hope that they will follow through and actually do what they promise. Upped from one star to two.
