As many others have experienced, I paid for a lifetime account and am now being told that the account will be closed in two weeks time. Very unethical behaviour. Update: it's all very well adding the same cut and paste response to all the disgruntled former customers, but the fact remains that if you offer a lifetime service you shouldn't be cancelling it with no refund for anyone who's had it for more than 12 months. Most reasonable people would think that a lifetime is more than 12 months.

Zoolz is going to rob the clients, saying they will terminate the home plan. I paid for a lifetime account. Actually I have two 3TB accounts. They don't want to refund clients that are with Zoolz for more than 12 months. They want to keep our money and go against what they contracted with the clients, terminating our accounts.

Lifetime cloud ??? And shut down after year... don’t trust zoolz anymore... stay away stay safe

Ben Wise 01 October 2020, 00:30

At Zoolz, they use "lifetime" as an expression for a period lasting not more than couple of years and "one-time payment" as a money grab that would later serve as a vehicle to extort maintenance fees and to enforce switch to a business plan with monthly subscription

Apparently the "Lifetime" was referring to the download speed, not account length. Even when closing all lifetime accounts, you could offer some normal way of getting my data saved and downloaded, there is no excuse for the lack of any way of saving down everything in bulk. This is what this company is offering: NO download button to restore data NO option of bulk restoring data from online NO way to restore from desktop software (its simply stuck at 0% for over 24 hours) NO human reply at mentioned email address, to help with saving the data. NO customer support

WARNING Zoolz/BigMind/Genie9 sold LIFETIME accounts. You would expect to get at least 10 years for your money. Zoolz simply cancelled all the lifetime accounts with 2 weeks and told customers they must upgrade to an annual business account or their data would be deleted. If a company can renege on an agreement, you would be a FOOL to trust it with your data

отстой! купил когда-то якобы пожизненный аккаунт, через 2 года его закрыли....

Bait and switch. Have you pay for lifetime, then pull the rug out as they cancel your account. Integrity should have resulted in honoring their commitments until home versions are complete and that includes honoring lifetime and stop selling home to focus on business accounts...but no, they cancel. What a rip company this is. UPDATE - Zoolz response is that they gave refund within 30 days and some refund within one year. So that is supposed to make all those people who purchased lifetime prior to 12 months ago feel better?

I paid for a lifetime account with Zoolz. First they decided that they will downgrade my account unless I start paying a fee and now they are shutting down an account that I paid for, Talk about scam. I am looking for others to start a class action law suit unless I get my full refund.

The company just decided to cancel my 'lifetime' account because they're either ditching home accounts or you can move to a business tier account. Money-back guarantee was active for 30 days, so I'm at a complete loss. Also, they will freeze your data and you will have to wait to get it back. So it's not really a reliable solution for hosting anything valuable. Stay away from them.

ah ah, all the answers are copypaste from zoolz team... from lifetime account to closed account in a couple of months... what can I say? never trust to this company at all. stay away, maybe your account will be closed without any reason...

First time they tried to force everyone to "upgrade" their paid lifetime accounts to just more expensive ones. And this time they just decided to cancel all the subscriptions. Worst experience possible. Scam

I will also be spending the next several weeks searching online to see if I can sign on to a class action lawsuit against this fraudulent company.

EDIT: Maybe this will help someone, they fooled me twice. So once your lifetime account gets cut off, they offer to upgrade you to business, without mentioning that removes all sharing functionality! The "upgrade" includes only cold storage, AKA files that you have to email them and then wait 3 days in order to ******* download. Total bait and switch, they have tried several ways to get out of the life time subscriptions they sold and now are just ending them. Hoping i can do a credit card chargeback after all this time. Oh sure they are discontinuing what I paid for... but conveniently for me I can maintain their service by upgrading to a "different" service that offers the same coverage.

Not a trustworthy company. They get you onboard by selling a lifetime deal and then close down the lifetime deal two years later. This is dishonest and seriously unethical. If they had closed the business down then I can accept these things happen, but they are still up and running. They have basically just taken the money, waited an appropriate amount of time and then closed what was the LIFETIME deal down. Serious dishonest and anyone who trusts them with their data has got to be nuts. UPDATE: Zoolz did reply to my review and talked about refunds for anyone purchasing within the last 30 days. And that is how you know they are scammers. They sell people on lifetime deals with absolutely no plan on honoring it. They then just close down the service and reopen it under another brandname and rinse and repeat, i.e. they are serial scammers. The only reason they refund for 30 days is that this is the law in most countries. If they didn't they'd be sued big time and they'd lose. These borderline fraudsters know how to play the game. Read the many negative reviews about them all over the Internet and you will come to the conclusion that any positive ones are either fake, or have been posted by people who don't yet realise they're going to be scammed. That said, the vast majority all say the same thing, and that is that Zoolz is run by a bunch of people with VERY low business ethics. Just to be clear, if they were closing the business down then I can totally understand these things happen and can accept that. But that isn't the case with Zoolz. They set up selling lifetime deals. Get the money and then close down the service - but keep all the money of course. Then they do it again under a different brand name. Luckily, sites like Trustpilot help people to know who a reputable companies and who are not. Zoolz definitely is not. The problem is they have already set up other brand names and are now doing exactly the same scam. The message here is clear. Do NOT deal with Zoolz, or any of their there other brandnames. If you cannot trust them to honor their commitments then it is safe to say you cannot trust them with your data either.

My experience with Zoolz Lifetime subscription exactly the same.... Funny is the Zoozl Dashboard, where they say Lifetime ... expired. Never again, do not trust this company.

Clearly the company does not know what the meaning of 'lifetime' is. Where was it stated that lifetime meant 3 years? Any business customers will be well advised to stay clear as I'm sure they will break their promises sooner or later. In December, I received the following reply to my question: "Please note that we have made absolutely no changes or adjustments to your account that would stop either of the storage capacity or the lifetime duration of your account. Indeed, your account still has its original purchased capacity of Cloud storage space, your account will remain active for the length of time you wish to use it, and you are under absolutely no obligation to purchase the additional services we advertised." I hope all the disgruntled customers will report this rogue company to Trading Standards as I will be doing. And I'm sure they will make the retrieval of any data incredibly slow and painful. Their rather pathetic copy & paste reply below does not address any issues raised by cheated and disgruntled customers.

➤ Zoolz & BigMIND 🌎 zoolz.com ➤ Polarbackup 🌎 polarbackup.com The same marketing strategy, the same "LIFETIME" offers. ALL LIFETIME OFFERS FROM THIS BRANDS ARE SCAM! THEY USE "LIFETIME" unsecure word just to win so much user as possible. Sooner or later they blackmail you with your own backup datas. Either you buy a new business package or all your data will be deleted. Avoid all products from this brands and stay safe!

Like many others on here, I'm a "lifetime" account holder who's just been informed that I have 15 days to recover all my backed up data before it's permanently deleted. I signed up over 3 years ago so don't seem to be eligible for a refund at all. This was clearly deliberately falsely advertised and mis-sold to me, and I will be seeking a full refund.
