Dont trust your data on Zoolz. I have purchased a Home Plan Lifetime offer, but now I receive an email that this plan is no more avaliable, and have to retrive data until deletion. Well, if we buy a lifetime offer, it was to protect data, not to give a headache. Still no trust. If you buy any plan higher 12 mo, or plan to use zoolz as a local safe for your data, FORGET IT. It a total SCAM, because they can change policy anytime and you can lose money and time. (Money are easy to refund, but time isnt). DONT LOSE YOUR TIME WITH ANY ZOOLZ PRODUCT.

Purchased a "lifetime" contract, now they simply announce that their service will be discontinued and all my data will be deleted from their servers. No refund offered for the "lifetime"plans that are more than a year old. Very very very dissapointed, someone should prosecute them. I would be more than happy to participate in a class action suit!

This company doesn't understand the meaning of "Lifetime" and has no problem cancelling contracts when it suits them. A partial refund for someone who signed up within the last year is ridiculous, they should get a full refund. Everyone should get, at least, a partial refund. The product is only 7 years old. Cloud companies have been booming, this tells me something about the way they are run. If Home customers get the axe today, can Business customers be far behind? There's better options out there.

I really wish I could give ZERO stars for a service that freely promotes a lifetime service, houses all our data, then gives you the option of retrieving your data (impossible due to my current circumstances) or losing your data or paying them MORE money at a non-competitive rate. The company states it's values are "caring" and "integrity" but to them a promise is only meaningful until they find a way to make more profit. LAME.

I signed up for a lifetime agreement for a backup and cold storage solution and have been recently informed that Zoolz will be terminating this service in favour of offering a rebranded 'business' solution vs their previous 'Home'. All customers that have been using this service have been given two weeks to recover their data or have it deleted. Alternately, they can pay additional fees and switch to a paid subscription. In my honest opinion you can't trust a company that simply discards its clients after making a quick buck by offering lifetime packages then discontinues and rebrands the service. BEWARE. Can you really trust a company that holds your backup data hostage? Pay more fees or have your precious data deleted and all previous agreements simply ignored? I will never trust this company or its products again.

I bought a lifetime service from them and they discontinued the service and refused to refund me. Con men.

I bought an unlimited plan about 2 years ago and now they are cancelling it without reason. I just feel cheated. I could understand the reasons if the company went bankrupcy but that is not the case. They just want to continue with those that are willing to pay more and dropping those that have already payed. Beware its a scam!!!!!!!!!

Zoolz asked me to change my lifetime account as they cannot afford to supply it anymore !?! I had an issue that required me to contact support.Been waiting over 4 days (so far) for an answer to my ticket raised. Only received an acknowledgement of my ticket. With backups, you need good customer service and Zoolz have failed once again. Buyer beware!

hey zoolz, i did't die, so why the lifetime license are closing? tell us the lifetime meaning, because i though that is until i die. but even in your answers here, are just a copy and paste. please trustpilot let us give negative stars, hahah because some company need to see how bad they are. sorry for my english, i'm not english native. ----------- Edit ----------- Now even stacksocial.com are changing the conversation, below i will post the last email that i received from stacksocial. Hello, To clarify, our lifetime subscriptions cover the lifetime of a *product*. While we hope that every product is around forever, we can't control the business model or overall viability of our vendors. Fortunately, in this case, the vendor was willing to provide a resolution and they have informed us that if any of our mutual customers reach out to us, we will need to refer it back to them as they will present a resolution for this issue. Sorry, I couldn't be more help on this one, but I hope that points you in the right direction. Have a great day! ------------- they are offering 2 years account.

Bought a lifetime service that lasted less than 3 years. The company isn't even closing, they just don't want to provide me the service they sold me no more.

Horrible scam company!!! The company sold lifetime backup in year 2017 in USA to hook users and now suddenly in September 2020 gave just 2 weeks email informing we have 2-weeks to download our data and covert to business account. Also, download doesn’t work and says wait 3-12 hours for the download to start. I have been waiting 3 days and still no download of my sensitive data and kids birth pictures. Now, on top, Zoolz is offering “new upgrades” with new payments plan with business accounts. How is this legally allowed? For abandoning existing users and selling new services? Where is the integrity of existing contracts? The management shows disloyalty and scam mentality. *** Let’s do class action and inform BBB. *** Thank you!

To bad you cant give a negative number as grade, cause this service is just beyond words. Was a horrible app and slow as fk but since it was a "lifetime" I let it slide. Rarely say this but hope the lifetime of the owner of this pos company is as long as this deal... Sincerly

Another life time cancelled. Anyone that got their codes via stacksocial or some other platform should email that platform asking for a refund. I have requested a refund from stacksocial and they have gone to Zoolz asking what the hell is going on. I have also told stacksocial of their new platform (polarbackup) and how they are doing the lifetime sale all over again. Just open a support ticket and point them towards the blog that zoolz posted. Stacksocial has removed the "life time" option to buy from zoolz listings after emailing them about it.

Lifetime storage which will now be deleted in two weeks with no way to download my data. Legal action seems like the only way forward for UK users. Is there a forum somewhere to discuss in more detail?

Time to sue? Easy in the US. United Kingdom: Contingency arrangements 9. What are the rules governing lawyers' fees in class/collective actions? Two types of "contingency" fee arrangement are permitted in England and Wales: conditional fee arrangements (CFAs) and damages-based agreements (DBAs) (sections 44 and 45, Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012). CFAs A CFA is defined as "... an agreement with a person providing litigation or advocacy services which provides for his fees and expenses, or any part of them, to be payable only in specified circumstances" (section 58(2)(a), Courts and Legal Services Act 1990). CFAs can be entered into by both barristers and solicitors, and must be in writing, but cannot relate to criminal or family proceedings. If the claimant succeeds, the CFA may provide that the legal representative will be paid a "success" fee in addition to base costs. Rules regarding recoverability of success fees differ depending on whether the CFA was entered into before or after 1 April 2013 (section 44, Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012). Success fees are not recoverable from opponents under CFAs after 1 April 2013, subject to certain exceptions (section 58A(6), Courts and Legal Services Act 1990).

Well for a start it was a lifetime...turned out not. Thankfully I didn't use it much but still... 3-12 hours from an instant download ? Sorry Its not in cold storage ? sigh. I have a PCloud account that look like its from this century. Hopefully that will last a lifetime (or 99 years)

As with many others here I purchased a life time plan. However it appears that Zoolz did not put keep money aside from my purchase to pay for future running costs. They are now cancelling my lifetime plan, refusing to discuss a refund as I have had it for more than a year. Hardly a lifetime. They are trying to upsell premium products but how can they be trusted not to change the price or cancel this product in the future? They are blaming covid but I suspect that there are deeper problems as many online only businesses are flourishing in the current pandemic. All I can suggest is that everyone who has been let down by this company in the UK uses their UK address (Level 1, 184 Shepherds Bush Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 7NL) to take them to small claims court. If you win you get your fee back (£25 online) and the resultant workload for Zoolz should help them to understand not to take their customers for granted. Note: Their website is illegal as it does not list their full company information. It appears that they are run through Genie9 which is owned by the same person as Polar Backup - who now offer 'lifetime' subscriptions. Check them out on companies house.

Very disappointed... They are closing lifetime accounts, and not even leaving sufficient time to retrieve data on cold storage.
