I purchased a lifetime plan about 2 years ago, and suddenly they told me that they will shut down the service and I need to download all the data and I will get no refund. I would understand this decision and will not complain if they go bankrupt and they have no way to continue, but they simply want to stop this service. How come they can just stop a service they call lifetime and refuse to give at least a fair portion of money? I have wasted many hours trying to recover data every single day. Something official has to be taken against them.

I like many others purchsed a lifetime plan, but now two years in Zoolz have discontinued the service. They are refusing to refund customers, only offering a discounted rate to their business service, which they say is for lifetime but as we've established they don't know the meaning of the word. They are using Covid-19 as an excuse for the discontinuing the lifetime plan but I suspect it was planned all along, entice customers in with deals then switch them onto additonal paid plans. I'd stay clear of this company if you hold on value for our data, they cannot be trusted. Edit: As predicted they've replied with a copy and paste repsonse that doens't address the issues raised.

Since 2 years had a lifetime plan. Like many here, had the 14 days to download and lots of issues with that, felt really like a scam not to say being robbed and quite offended. It took quite a time for them to answer finally, but fair enough deal to repair the time wasted with an alternative. Time is tough I guess for everybody, I knew "lifetime" was kind of too good to be true. Still need to go through the "new" business plan and dashboard, but so far so good, already seems quite better then the previous dashboard. I've changed from 1 to 3* to test all this up and mainly because I try to be fair as they've answered in a professional manner and offer. Will add a new star if everything goes smoothly within a month, while, yes I was in an awful lots of stress but can understand the situation.

Lifetime home plan sold with a trust of being lifetime but this cunning and the clever thief's sent a cool email notice of 14 days to cancel & stop the service for all home plan users. The so-called lifetime plan scam here I am sitting day and night restoring my backups running hours of my laptop. Go to hell Zoolz for being so dishonest and dumping the people's trust. This company needs to be sued and busted someone please advise on the procedure I will be more than happy & glad to join this cause and expose these scammers.

Es una completa estafa, han dado hasta el 15 de octubre para descargar los archivos, pero el app para recuperar los archivos no sirve, no descarga nada. A pesar de escribirles el 6 de octubre al correo "restore @ zoolz" como indican en sus respuestas... no me respondieron. Tuve que enviarles varios correos y solo hasta el 13 de octubre me respondieron que habían recién creado el ticket de atención y que tendría una respuesta en 24 horas. Ok pasaron las 24 horas y aún no me han dado ninguna respuesta, mucho menos una solución. Queda menos de 1 día para recuperar mis archivos antes que esta compañía de estafadores decida eliminar mi acceso a los archivos de manera definitiva. Cual es la única alternativa? pagarles el upgrade a una cuenta bussiness? LADRONES!

Ich habe vor 2 Jahren eine "Lifetime"-Lizenz der Home Edition gekauft. Nun wird der Home-Service eingestellt. So viel zu "Lifetime"... Außerdem war Backup und Restore extrem langsam und umständlich. Bin auf Dropbox umgestiegen, das ist besser und dazu noch billiger.

Una tomadura de pelo, despues de adquirir una licencia Lifetime de por vida, apenas un año despues cancelan el producto y me exigen comprar una nueva licencia. Empresa poco fiable.

They sold Zoolz home for lifetime! I talked to customer manager before purchasing and she clearly said- you will get the support even after 20 years! but they started to emailing pay more! subscribe to business planes! they introduced advertisement on my paid pages! they sent my instance vault date(which should be accessible and downloadable instantly) to cold storage! I could not download my files on time even keeping the restore software running for couple of days!(It was a disaster when I could not deliver a file to my client on time). They removed the download button from the instance vault web! suddenly they sent an email that giving me only 15 days to move my TB data from their server otherwise they will delete my files! 11 days passed because their software don't work properly(not downloading the instance vault files or cold storage files)! I had to communicate with the customer care several times and they replied- they are trying to fix the issue, working on it! I was asking about instance vault files, they were replying about cold storage file! After receptively asking about the instance vault files- finally they noticed the message and replied" wait for the next update, we will fix it and notify you". They don't even read the message! They sold the lifetime subscriptions, collected the fund to build the company and later cheated with the customers! Zoolz is a complete internet scammer company! I wish there was an internet authority to monitor this type of scammers!

What's the purpose of a backup service?...To backup your data and minimise the effects of a hardware failure. Technically Zoolz has achieved this, however following a hard disk failure (a fairly typical reason why you would want a backup) I've now restored and re-built everything, however I'm unable to link the data drive on my re-built computer to my existing back-up. Therefore I can't re-start my backups. Zoolz solution to this... Delete my online backup and start from fresh. With several Tb of data this will take 6-8 weeks even on very fast broadband leaving me vunerable to data lost during that period which is simply unacceptable.

Everything went smooth for one year, then "maintenance" was suddently expired. Soon after, they purely cancelled a lifetime licence without compensation, only 15 days to backup everything (which was impossible due to slow recovery). As an alternative, they offered an "upgrade to business plan" which was in fact only with ColdStorage (1TB/25€/year). No warning. No apologize. Bad communication. Very disapointing. I would not recommend Zoolz, BigMind and all of companies of the brand. Be warned...

SCAM. I payed for a *lifetime* plan, now they are asking money. SCAM. EDIT: in reply to zoolz: OH WOW. Do you know the meaning of "LIFETIME" license? LIFE - TIME, yes. We all paid for a lifetime license, now you want money because our plan is not valid anymore. That's ridiculous.

They canceled my lifetime subscription with short notice to take backup or upgrade. They did offer a discount for upgrading to business. But this completely ignores that when I subscribed it was called a lifetime subscription. Someone must take legal actions against this company.

Like some other lifetime users on this thread, I had to go through heaps of back and forth support emails before they "applied new changes that should solve any previous issues you were having with the restoration" and eventually be able to restore my data. So those of you waiting at 0% for 12 hrs+, don't expect any restore methods on their website to work until you go through the back and forth email chain with support proving you tried each of the methods (which they secretly know themselves not to work and buy time before the Oct 15th deadline). This process takes days. They eventually check a box on their end (or something to that nature), send you an email with the above wording and then their website and restore software will start working as intended and you can restore your files at that point. I think what they did here is way worse than shutting down lifetime accounts (even though this is already unacceptable unless they are going broke) because they can hold ransom customer data at any time for any user, business plan or not. This type of behavior at Zoolz, along with BigMIND, and Genie9 should be criminally investigated. While I'm relieved and thankful to get my data back, I'm still annoyed that my lifetime plan wasn't really the lifetime (of the company) as agreed.

As others have mentioned, Zoolz has cancelled lifetime paid plans with very short notice to retrieve data. The service is terrible. Software is just timing out trying to retrieve my data. The support team trying is useless and can't solve any of the problems. Only offering refunds to very recently signed up customers, so most customers just lose their money. Don't trust this company with your data!

same here: cancelled a lifetime plan after 2 years, without refund (except the switch to a discounted business plan), within 15 days. I understand that they want or have to give up the lifetime plans because they miscalculated - business is challenging and changing - but this can be done with fair conditions and respect. After I complained and got some standard text module mails, they offered 2 free years and thereafter a reduced price for the business plan. But I declined, how can I entrust my backups to a service that acts like this?

Maybe I am just stupid but I really thought 'Lifetime' meant lifetime... or at least as long as the poxy company was running. Foolishly, however, it turns out that lifetime just means as long as it takes them to work out their business model was flawed in the first place. Somehow they think they can just change the terms of agreement, terminate your contract and tell you, you have 15 days to download the data from their ridiculous service. To be honest, the interface, the service and everything about these criminals sucked in the first place, so it's better to be out of it. Good luck ZOOLZ with you abissmal business and I really hope people now see all these negative reviews you are getting. You reap what you sow!

Purchased a lifetime subscription four year ago. Now I received a mail that this service is cancelled. Only a few days left to save all data from their servers.

Ofrecen un servicio por vida, lo pagas y después de 4 años anulan el servicio. UN TIMO Offer a lifetime service for a one time payment and then they cancel it after 4 years - FRAUD avoid.
