Good for connection. a little bit heavy weight

I rented a Vision Global pocket WiFi for 20 days in the US. Service worked out perfectly and price was competitive compared to other solutions proposed in UE. Just one comment about pick-up location at LA airport : look carefully where it stands as there is only a small sign on the front window of the shop.

# When planning our honeymoon in Europe one of the things I began researching was how to stay connected. Obviously there is always an option to purchase a local SIM card but the cons outweighs the pros in some cases (wanting to be connected as soon as one lands; traveling to multiple countries), so I looked into WiFi hotspots as we used one previously with a great experience. After much research I found Vision Global WiFi among others, but by far it had the most helpful team and was the best price. We got the Europe package to cover us in Italy and Switzerland for a 24 day trip. The device was shipped to us many days before we departed for our trip which put me at ease. It came with a universal charger and instructions (you don’t need the instructions; you just turn it on and it works!). Once we landed in Rome, we powered up the device and we were delighted to see that it worked immediately. It was also fast. We used it for our entire trip spanning the Amalfi Coast to Zurich (we had better service out on the Amalfi Coast than in some towns haha). The device held a charge for so long we didn’t feel like we needed to constantly recharge it. The limit is 500MB a day and after that it’s throttled to a pretty useless speed. In regards to data limit I think if they could have offered 1GB/day for a similar price point it would have provided more value for daily use. However, we were able to use the device for minimal critical actions such as looking up a train timetable or using google maps in a pinch, albeit extremely slowly. This 500MB limit and throttling was disclosed to us from the beginning. We returned home and shipped it back to them in the ready to ship box they provided to us. I would highly recommend this device to anyone traveling to Europe as we had a great experience.

Works as Advertised! This is our 3rd time to try Vision Global and they have always delivered. The pocket wifi device worked as promised.

Reservations were easy to make online. Pickup was easy at office in Torrance. WIfi worked perfectly well and was quite convenient on our trip to Japan. Return was easy at office in Torrance. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Almost perfect, the only issue I had with the service was I had requested a return envelope and paid extra for it, but when I picked up the unit the envelope wasn't with it. Customer service tried to tell me I should ship it back.. which means I would’ve had to pay for shipping twice... but after I explained this, they fedex’d me a return envelope to my address. I also had to extend the device’s time a few times, and that went extremely smooth so kutos for that.

Excellent customer service. Picked up the Wi-Fi unit at their Gardena office. Quick and easy process. Turned the unit on as the plane touched down in Tokyo and was in business. Never had an issue. Purchased the unlimited package and it worked flawlessly with 4+ devices connected at once. Will say our unit did have some battery memory so usually did not charge to 100% but lasted a good six hours of constant use, not streaming video/music, but email, web browsing and Google Maps. To get additional usage beyond the usual six hours, would connect an external battery when battery was at 20-30% and that got us through an entire day when out and about. Highly recommend Vision Global WiFi and will definitely use them again.

Not reliable. Reception is on and off even in a big city such as Vancouver.

Everything is fine but setting up and joining the network (and providing the services) is pretty slow, usually takes about 3-5 min after swtich on. Otherwise it is a perfect solution and your best travel mate. :)

So glad I got this Wifi. While traveling I had no WIFI and this was the perfect solution. I will definitely use this again.

Service is reliable, with good coverage and speed, battery is enough to provide you with internet throughout the day. Client support is helpful :-)
